Can't believe I'm writing the first post of the morning. We got lots done yesterday from dealer repair to AC on our PT Cruiser to new tires on my LT van to a annual physical under sedation for Miss Stormy cat. And all by 2:30 yesterday!
Hope everyone is having a happy busy day with safe travels for those who are behind the wheel.
My best friend from Oregon has been in and out this week visiting her Mom in memory care here amd now to a quilt show in San Jose and back Saturday for a few days. We are working towards leaving a week from tomorrow to my 50 th high school reunion. Many of them are as much as a year older than I am, so I gotta see those senior citizens. LOL my favorite part will be watching the current version of the Tracy Bulldogs play a Friday night and Homecoming game! Go Bulldogs!
Hoping to get van washed today but all nearby places where you put coins in to spray with wand, have closed so may have to find another way and rain expected tonight and for next 4 days off and on. Then a shopping trip to find us both new clothes for the big dinner. I hate shopping and Mel has never liked buying new clothes either. So that should be fun, not!

Surprise surprise, checked the mail today, and there it was,,,,Medicare card.
So now, retirement is sinking in, excited and scared at the same time.

Velda, when it starts raining put your van out in the rain and start washing. lol I have talked about doing that but haven't yet. The closest I came was on a trip and I had bugs all over my windshield and front of my motorhome. After dark it started raining so I took a pan of soapy water and a sponge and washed the front of my motorhome and let the rain rinse it.

Our temperatures are back up to 90 and since we haven't had any rain in a week it is getting dusty. They are mowing the pasture across from us and creating a dust storm.

There is a festival going on in Lafayette. An artist I like is suppose to have a booth and I wanted to go see his work this morning but we had company until noon. Maybe I can make it over there tomorrow. I hate going to festivals any more because it is so hard to get a parking place. The cattle festival is this weekend in Abbeville but I don't go to that any more. The Cattlemen and Cattlewomen use to run the beer booth as a fund raiser for our clubs. The guy that got to be head of the festival took the booth away and gave it to another club. We used the money we made to support the 4-H and kids that show. If you are not going to support the cattle industry then why have a cattle festival. I refuse to attend as a matter of principle.
