Posted: Fri Sep 23, 2016 9:09 amGood morning. Looking like another warm, beautiful day. They are saying it's going to get more seasonable after today. I decided to take a road trip up to the elk country yesterday afternoon. Well, needless to say it turned into another adventure! I thought I remembered how to get there so ignored the gps, big mistake! I ended up going back to it and it put me on about 25 miles of gravel roads! Glad I was in my car, don't think Lola would have done very well on them! But eventually I got there! I was talking to one of the workers at the visitor center and she said they probably wouldn't be to active since it was so warm. I did hear a few bugling deeper in the woods but didn't see any. Since its going to get cooler the next week, I may try again! Only this time I'll use the gps and reset some settings on it! Or better yet, look at the map!
