Thursday, Packing day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, Packing day

Postby Colliemom » Thu Sep 15, 2016 7:15 am

Morning,

Packing day for me here. Heading out in the morning for Indian Lake State Park near Manistique, in the U.P. Meeting up with friends. Will return home on Monday and then await Eileen and her DH as they journey northward next week. Weather looks good for the weekend with maybe a stray shower on Saturday. Plans call for a foray to Fayette Historical State Park to explore the restored iron smelting town. It's one of my favorite and have camped there many years. Trailer is ready to roll, just need to load up, wash the floor and then hitch up in morning and off we go. No WiFi, so wil be AWOL for a few days.

So while I am gone, hope the rest of you stay out of trouble  Have a great weekend. :D

Morning, all! I am back in Ohio for a while, and today's challenge will be going to my storage place and doing more sorting and repacking. Hoping to get it down to a few boxes my son can store for me so I don't have to continue spending $90 a month to keep all this furniture. Most I have already given to my son for his basement, but I still have a few big pieces that will need to be tossed or donated if I can get someone to come get them. My beautiful dining room table has some damage from storage, but the hutch and top are still good.

Nice to be able to take my motorhome there with me because it will give me a place to rest and a bathroom and all that while I am working. Then back here for one more night before I have to move to another place for the weekend. My plan is to spend each day at the storage place and get it done with!!!

Nice to see Eileen is finally getting her new rig and that getupngo is back with a new rig.

Have fun, Sue! A great weekend for the UP.

Eileen, I'm so glad you're on the road with your MH (and so sorry about your MIL). Have a great drive.

Yesterday was Drew's first dog class. I'd forgotten how much I've missed that all these years. It was a nice small group of beginner dogs. Drew knows the work, but I kept him in beginner's because I thought all the moving dogs and general chaos might be hard for him. It was, but he's starting to learn to restrain himself. Yay!

thank you for posting Wendy, I was so tickled for you and have been searching for a post of what it was etc. :D . Easy to get our forum names mixed, that's for sure. Of course, did not find a thing. Yes, you do have many friends here, and you should post from time to time so we know how you're doing.

Still morning, and I am into many things, took a break , Have bags of stuff ready to haul down to resource center. Beautiful day here, we sure need rain, not getting any from Julia, farther east is. I wish I could have gotten this stuff all hauled out before it got so warm out there, just high 80's in this area, but still to hot for me if I'm working or moving around much in it.

Love your rig, Janice, and Judy, good luck getting your storage cleaned out. Sue, enjoy your getaway. Must get moving again.

Stay safe and enjoy you day everyone !!

Nice to see some familiar people posting altho I do keep up with Janice on FB. I am also going to be getting ready to go camping this coming Monday. Will be meeting Laura up at 7Feathers RV Resort for a week. We want to BBQ and have a few adult beverages and maybe take a ride up in the hills around Canyonville where we have not been too much. Basically just an R&R trip. We meet here because she comes from the North and me the South so neither one of has to do too much driving.

Then I need to decide when I am going to head south. I have more of a weather dilemma to sort out. I live at the bottom of the Siskiyou mountain pass that I have to go over to California and can get some serious snow at various times of the year. Also around Mt Shasta can be troublesome. Then there is the issue of winterizing my Motorhome as it gets pretty cold here at times....oh what to do

Way past morning here.
Wendy, you use your rig frequently at Gulf Shores. Just cause you aren't driving it doesn't mean you are not RVing - just a slightly different approach. Poor Magic hasn't had an outing since we got back from FL at end of March.
Looking forward to some good home made soup for dinner (simmering now and smells great).
Wishing for clear sky Friday night to stare at the Harvest moon, one of my favorites.
