Good Morning Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning Tuesday

Postby BirdbyBird » Tue Sep 06, 2016 7:39 am

The campground was looking pretty deserted yesterday at 5 PM when I finally broke down my grooming area and returned to the rig. There was no reason for us to head out on the road and brave driving through north I-75 "end of holiday" traffic driving through Cincinnati. Very quiet here at camp while the rest of us slowly get our acts together and make ready to move on. I have a doctor appt for later this afternoon and Remi has an appt at the library this evening to listen to the children read to him at which time he will understand why he had to take a bath last night. Last night he wasn't so sure about the fun activity.

I will be heading north to Michigan either Thursday or Friday and plan to camp at the Brighton Recreation area near Howell, MI. There is an English Cocker Specialty Sat and Sun and I have always wanted to paddle that lake since I first attended 25 years ago so I plan to hang around for a few day afterwards.

Hope everyone has a great day and make it through in one piece.......Here is to finding some treasures in where ever your journey takes you.

Morning, all! Last week was doctor appointment week here in Michigan, but this week is full of lunch and dinners with friends. So I am off right now.

I enjoyed seeing everyone leave here yesterday. It was extremely full, as you can imagine. Tina, I'd suggest you stop by here at Sterling State Park if you could make it Thursday night. It's along Lake Erie but there are lots of lagoons to kayak here. Unfortunately, I am going to be gone all day Friday but otherwise will be here until Saturday morning. This place is on your way to Howell, by the way. Will send you a PM.

Good Morning Tina and Everyone !!! Beautiful day here already, not supposed to get to warmish. Lovely out this morning, I'm in the process of sweeping decks and cutting the remainder of weed vines off the trellis of the front deck. Have worked at it, but has been so hot especially out front but evenings are cooling now and mornings I love. Have doors open for awhile this morning, and I'm enjoying it.

My repair guy stopped by, he isn't quite finished with last job, had to do with cleaning a rat infested place and redoing insulation and he ended up sick, didn't take precautions as he should have when doing that job. So I had a chance to tell him of my other problem that has popped up since he was here last. Said he would be by this evening and see if he couldn't get my water back on. I hoping he can as I have a visitor coming late tonight or tomorrow. She knows my problems here and she is a great sport, if nothing else, we will leave in the rv and visit one of the Nat'l Forest campgrounds around here, :D I'm ready for a get a way ;)

Tina, I can appreciate you not wanting to try to get home last night on 75, been that route so many times and understand totally :) Sounds like Remi has a busy schedule coming up too. Wish I could have made it up to Michigan this summer.

My sister still hasn't had her arm repaired. She suffered really bad pain in her chest once they arrived at hospital and they admitted her immediately thinking she was having heart problems or a clot which has been a worry since her accident. So no good reports about her injury yet, but I have talked to her several times and she sounds in good spirits and says she is feeling fine except for pain from arm.

After totally falling apart after hearing about my sis and all the stuff that popped up on me last Thursday, I have been doing ok. Life happens, bad stuff in numbers many times, but then here comes the good stuff to balance it out, so can't let myself get boggled down in this bad time. But that good cry sure relieved pent up emotions I guess I have carried for a while, and I'm really ok now . Looking forward to the good times coming ! My company coming is really great medicine, she stops by quite often and we always get into something :D I told her she not only has to share the guest bathroom this time, but we have no water to flush, but buckets and she laughed and said that's all that matters, I'm really looking forward to her visit !!

Break time is over, just wanted to pop in with my morning hi to all and wish you all a really good day. Whatever or wherever you are enjoy your day !!

Stay safe everyone !!

Good Morning, I returned home yesterday. Only takes one and a half hours to get home from this campground. We all had such a good time that we are planning on returning as soon as possible...?February?

There were kids there, probably a thousand, and young ones too! Bicycles all over. Three swim pools, but the water was too cold for me! 500 camp sites, yes, it is a very large camp ground.

Both my great Grandson and Great Granddaughter were there. Dogs galore! My son and older daughter came for the day.
Friends parked next to us and we all mingled!

Carol, that is a shame about your Sisters arm...thank heavens she did not have a blood clot! Laugh a lot with your friend and cry if you need to. Those weeds will still be there.

Tina, thanks for the report on the pooches competition. I do so enjoy reading about them.

Now, back to the real world......lyn

CArol, glad you have a friend coming so you can have fun instead of worry about your place. Every time we have to have work done on the well Harold wants to hook up the barns to the city water. Right now only the house is on the community water system and if there is a leak we know about it right away. If one of the pipes at the barn or one of the pens has a leak we might not find it for a few days. I'm sure the well repairs are nothing to what we would have to pay for wasted water. Hope your sister can get her arm fixed and get out of the hospital.

I am thinking about heading out to the lake tomorrow. Need to call my sister and see what her plans are. There was another storm around Cuba but they aren't saying much about it. Hopefully it will fizzle out.

My son got to driveway camp in their camper trailer in New Jersey. He was complaining about the mattress in the camper trailer. Just about everyone that gets an RV complains about the mattress. A mattress upgrade should be standard. Reading about all the complaints about RV's on Facebook I don't know that I want a new motorhome. The RV industry is turning out a lot of junk. Even the ones that use to be top of the line have problems.

Just missed morning on here.
Tina, sounds like a good plan. Glad you are enjoying the travel and dog shows.
Great you have company coming Carol. Know you will enjoy that.
Still nothing worthy of reporting going on in my world.

Good afternoon gals! :D

Had a short day at work and am home for the day now. I had to get two money orders for fees for my Arizona Cosmetology license and send those in with forms, copies of current licenses, 2 photos, etc. Got that done and in the mail. Will have to take a 2 hour class once I get out there before I get my license issued.

More boxes to go thru today. Gonna eat lunch and take a nap first tho.

Had more thunderstorms and heavy rain overnight so it is humid and dreary today. Love listening to the storms at night but we really don't need any more rain. Been a great summer tho, weather wise.

Have a good one!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
