Good morning all. I've beeen watching the weather this morning and it sure doesn't look like a good beach day on the east coast! Hope everyone in the south are okay too! Quite a storm. Looks like it's going to stay coolish and dry here for the next few days. I'll take it!
Anita, enjoying following you on your trip! I saw an SS the other day go by me here in town. Guess they are out there! Barbie, sounds like you are moving right along with your move. Good for you. CArol, hope you have a better day today. And Donna, hope your sister got in okay last night. It'll be good that you have someone else to be there with you. Hoping your dad is getting better. Peggy, glad you had a visit with Carolb and that you are feeling good.
I need to get moving and get on the road. Grandsons have soccer games today in different locations so will have to decide which one to go to. One plays for the middle school and the other plays for the high school so it's going to be an interesting season! So with that I'll quit rambling here and get going! Have a good weekend and stay safe.

Good Morning, And it is a good morning, cool and not humid!!! we are going to have a few more days of relief, everyone had smiles on their faces at the Farmers Market the morning. I was really happy to find Halibut! A local man has salmon fishing company in Alaska but brings a lot of it back frozen to sell locally. It is sooo good. This is the first time he has had halibut. They suggested using the flaked salmon in fish tacos.
Andy is on a third medication for his COPD an I have really seen an improvement! He is eating better and is a lot more active.
We are going to a baby shower tomorrow, first time I've been to a baby shower in years and the first time ever where men were invited. DH isn't that excited but it is at a brewery...the couple has every thing they need already so I bought a gift certificate for their dog at Pet Co so he can have lots of new toys and not feel left out.

Good Morning
We have another near perfect weather day, humidity is down even more than yesterday.
I am going to try to get get out for a little while this afternoon. Need to see what it cost to replace dishwasher at rental house tho I'm tempted not to. I lived most of my life without one but todays young people seem to think it is necessary. Will take care of couple other errands while out. Other than some bookkeeping, no other plans in place for the weekend.
BJ - good idea about gift for fur baby at shower.

A party at a brewery should keep the men entertained. A gift for the dog is unusual.
It is clear here but not cool, it's 98. I have managed to put off going to Sam's until Saturday again. I really don't want to go today but we are out of steak. If I don't go get some steak I will have to cook tomorrow.
Las night I made spaghetti sauce. I haven't made that in years. It was ok but seemed like something was missing. Probably because my seasonings are too old.
Guess I better get going.

Hi Ladies ~~~ just poppin' in for a quick howdy do.
Yes, the last few days have been perfect in the Chitown area too. Makes me wish I had camping reservations somewhere, but then again, not on a holiday weekend.
I like the idea of a furkid gift BJ. Especially if the couple doesn't actually need anything. Men have been coming to baby showers up here for a while. Started with the Dad-to-be, and then I think it grew because he wanted company lol.
Getting a kick out of Anita's trip and that a small group has splintered off because she like to go fast. You go girl!
Martha, since it's just me, I've skipped making spaghetti sauce and found that I like the Contadina Italian Herb sauce / paste. The sauce is a little too thin, but putting in a little of the paste thickens it up. I'll still make the homemade tho for holiday lasagna, if we have Christmas anymore that is.
Found out my BIL is thinking of moving to South Carolina. He has a brother there, and SIL and nephews with their own kids. As long as his son is OK with it, I told him to go. He's leaving for a visit on Wednesday for a couple of weeks to check out the area, and then he'll think about putting his house on the market next Spring. Guess I better make sure I can back up perfectly before he moves, since he was one of my teachers.
Not much else except Ma has a doctor appointment this week, and I'm going again to see what the doctor thinks about her state of mind.
Well have a good day ladies and stay safe where ever the road leads.

Good morning all! Was cloudy earlier but is again sunny with blue sky here in No. Central CA.
Martha spaghetti is usually better the next day or so. Hope you can enjoy it today. Because I don't cook much any more, haven't made sauce for the longest but sounds like a good project for one of these days.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Fall must be in the air since everyone is enjoying cooler less humid weather now! Beautiful day here altho a bit windy. White caps on the lake today.
Had the day off and have made good progress on sorting and purging stuff in my apartment. I have a feeling tho that once I get thru it all, I will have to go thru it a second time in order to pare it down enough to all fit in my car and carrier. Still lots to go thru in the garage, closet, and storage room. Did sell another item today. Am also cat sitting for a neighbor so that will add some to the "kitty"! Lol!
BJ, I think the pet certificate is a great idea! Poor pooch will for sure feel a little put out by the new baby.
Hope you all had a good day so far!

BJ, I love fish tacos but am cringing at them made with salmon. Not the flavor I'd be looking for. Make them with that halibut, though and my mouth would be watering.

I have never eaten a fish taco. The few times I have been where I could order fish tacos I just couldn't bring myself to order them and I like fish. I for sure wouldn't want one with salmon.

I agree, salmon not for Tacos! Tonight we had a wondeful smoked juicy pork sirloin. And so much for headed for fall, they say we will see 97 degrees wednesday! I'm still coughing from whatever virus I managed to catch, but I'm slowly getting better. Sure annoyed it messed up my first week in many months where nothing was scheduled! Have a good week all.
