Mornin' Donna and all that follow ~~~

Just a quick check-in here for rabbits rollcall. Irish??? Here! ;) Yesterday I finally, got thru the last big job for our fiscal year end, so really have had no summer at all. Too hot for me anyway, but I do have a couple weekends booked for camping and then the October trip up to cheeseland (WI).

A very belated birthday to Liz & Martha. Congrats on the new to you RT Donna, and Sue finally getting out this summer also. Tina doing shows, and can't remember what else I've read lately.

That's it around here (boring huh?). Have a good day ladies & stay safe on the roads.

Rabbits Roll Call today everybody. Check in and let us know how you are and what you have been doing, no matter what it is. Donna, sorry that you are stuck down in the hot weather, but your time will come. Right now, doens't seem to matter where you go, the weather is hot and yucky. Well, some areas are nice, like here in northern MI. We are having our normal summer weather. Cool 50's at night and upper 70's during the day. Some warmer and humid weather coming for a couple of days later this week, but then back to more normal after that. Been great summer weather these past couple of days.

Had a great weekend here too. Got the trees and bushes all out on Friday when the tree crew came, spent Saturday with neighbor at a craft show and had lunch out, then just relaxed and yesterday, cleaned up some of the leftovers from the bush, tree removal. They did a fantastic job of cleanup. I will get some topsoil to cover over the holes they filled in later, but that's about all I have to do Looking really good around here right now. Ran my thatcher with my tractor over the yard yesterday to break up the ground a bit as it's so hard, now will let mother nature take over.

Today is off to the store and pay a bill in town. Then am thinking about maybe painting my two window boxes this afternoon. Now that the yard is where I want it, I can putter with other stuff. Porch and deck railings as well as deck and porch need painting. Would like to try to do that before the colder fall weather sets in. Two camping trips coming up for this month. Sept. is not planned as yet, but will do something before time to winterize the trailer again. Next year it's going to be time to hit the road.

You all have a nice day today.

Good first day of the month! Can't believe it's already August! Like Sue said, it'll be time to winterize the RV soon! I had a busy week end, went to a birthday party for 2 year old twins! It was a good ratio of adults to little ones, planned to be outside with them but we had an all day rain! So we ran herd on them in a small apartment! Boy, they move fast!

Things are starting to get busier with SIL. Movers coming Friday so will have 3 extra ladies for a couple of days before they head for MA. Going to give them the beds in the house and the boys and I will sleep in Lola!

Well, not much else happening here. I thought I was going to work in the yard but DS asked me to take GS to an appointment so guess I'll have to see if we get rain later today or if I'll be able to mow before it moves in this afternoon. I have to remember to stop at Petco and get food for the boys too! Since I'm heading over the mountain I might as well get some errands run while I'm there! Hope you all have a good day and if you are on the road, be safe.

Good morning, fellow Rabbits! Still here, alive and kicking. Waiting not so patiently for the new RV to be finished for us: ETA still end of August or beginning of September. We've been busy buying stuff and plotting storage, etc., but hard to do to much until we actually get in the thing. Thanks to those who provided feedback & advice about Gadgets & Gizmos, your help is valuable! We're going back to Elkhart next week to check on the progress, hoping it's on schedule so we can see the storage capacity. Finishing a wall quilt for the kitchen here & maybe going for a short hike at a nearby park; quiet day. Weather continues comfortably warm here, not quite as cool at night as Sue's report, but definitely pleasant.
Stay safe, those of you on the roads: stay between the lines.
Eileen

Good morning. I'm still playing in Oregon where the weather is just about perfect right now.

Rabbits check in day. Hot and humid here in Ohio and it may be a while before I run away. First order of business is to get the electric working again in the rig. Last day of this dog show cluster. Josef went Best of Breed and he promised not to trip me in the group ring but given his 13 month puppy brain I will be careful. :).

Good morning Everybody on check-in day. Sorry to say, but I need a valve job and I'm not talking about a vehicle. I have stenosis of the Aorta valve and it has to be replaced, so on August 12th I have open heart surgery.
I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good for a full recovery and I will feel better then ever.
I'm sharing this because I want you all to know that if you can't do the everyday tasks like you used to, see a cardiologist. I'm talking about carrying a laundry basket from the basement to the second floor bedroom and being winded. Remember last spring I couldn't do my gardening and now I know why I had to keep sitting down. Enjoy today. Peggy

Good Morning, Southern Illinois remains hot, humid and soggy. We just had a really big rain, I looked outside around 7:30 and it was pitch black. Off to yoga class this morning, not much else on the to do list for today.
Sounds like Josef is being a good boy Tina, congratulations and I hope he kept his promise. I hope you can get your electric problem solved and the A/C is running!!! Eileen, waiting is hard, hope your new RV will be done on time so you can move everything in, get organized and have that first adventure. Sue and Liz enjoy that cool weather. Cheryl I know you are relieved to have the last big job finished. Donna, I love your new Roadtrek. OtherSharon, I bet you were ready for a rest after that birthday party!
Take care and enjoy the day.

Good Morning from near Hershey, PA -

Peggy, so glad the surgery has been scheduled though sorry you have to have it. It was fun to talk with you on the phone, but we sure missed having you at Carolb's! Carol and I had a couple great SS rides and some 'car' sightseeing. Loved Thousand Islands and would like to go back and explore more.

Eileen, planning can be so much fun. Just had a conversation about always rearranging something in the camper. Tina, loved your comments about time getting dogs ready but you go 'natural'. Can't find an excuse for my no make-up life! :) Hope you get the electric issue fixed. Sue, obviously the previous owners didn't give your new place the TLC you have the house you sold! I think heat and humidity is something we could all do without! 75 and cloudy this morning so I'm enjoying it.

I have a 'to do' list today. Tomorrow I move to near Quantico, VA to visit family for a few days.

Make it a great day and safe travels!!

Wow, Peggy! I wish you the best for your upcoming surgery and recovery!

Never heard back about the camper or the latest room for rent. The camper I am sure went very quickly! It was a 66 Shasta in very good condition for only $1000. Still may hear back on the room for rent hopefully. They are the ones who contacted me first so I know they were interested in my ad. Today is the first of the month so hopefully there will be more ads popping up on CL today and tomorrow.

I did remember to say "rabbits" first thing this morning so hope that helps this month!

Hope you all have a great day! :D

Good morning
Peggy - glad you found the problem and it can be corrected. You may remember Soos had open heart surgery earlier this year and she is doing great. You will too.
Like millions of others, still suffering from excessive heat and humidity this year. Its a wonder the entire SE isn't one big glob of mold. Not wishing for winter but a break in this humidity sure would be welcome.
Monday around here means allergy shots day so off to do that in a bit. If I don't fade in the heat might shop for new skillet while out.

Gmorning all :)

Reporting for RR (Rabbit Rollcall)! Ready for a new month, but still reeling from a wonderful July filled with many visitors! Peggy, prayers, & thank you for bringing these "signs" to our attention--g'grief, heaven knows most of us on the forum are getting to "that age" where we need to be very in tune to how our bodies are acting.

So I said adios to Anita yesterday as she pulled out towing the SS--dang, was hoping she'd forget to hook it up ;) Oh well...Haven't been out in my HarBor in over a month, & now with bro going away for the first 2 wks of Aug, I'm in charge of harvest so won't be going anywhere. Starting to cook various veggies from the garden, getting them in the freezer. Will have plenty to give away! Should start a farm stand in my front yard ;)

I too missed bdays again, Martha & Liz! Hope you both had great ones & enjoy another lovely year:) Sarah, hoping you can get over the allergies soon.

Donna, happy for your new Trek! Others anticipating purchases or repairs, wishing you luck!

So y'all have a great day & safe travels always 8-)

Feeling much more normal today, which is really good. Yesterday I had only a little soreness in the kidney area, but today that is gone and I got a really good night's sleep. No waking up in the middle for my usual two hours! The worst thing about these kidney stones is that you can never predict them. They come on suddenly and you just never know when. At least I have a very good supply of pain meds now.

Nice to see so many updates this morning, except for Peggy's surgery, of course, but I am sure she will do fine. Just does not sound pleasant.

Got my blog caught up and going to do some sightseeing this morning, and then moving on to COE campground for three days. Nice that I only have a 80 mile drive total, so won't need to stop for gas or run any errands on the way as I have lots of everything.

Eileen, I will be headed through your state in a few days--wish you had your new RV so I could stop by and see it. I'm sure you are excited and having fun buying things for it!
