Good Morning to All. 6:00 a.m. here and it is 91 - never got below 90 last night. Tonight's low will be 92. Thank God and who ever invented it for AC. I got up at 5:15 and walked once around the block - too hot to do more. At least we don't have the humidity other parts of the country are dealing with. Though by the end of the week we have a 30% chance of rain.
The RV goes into the dealer next Wednesday to get the awning fixed. Maybe when we get it back we'll figure out someplace cool to go.
Think we'll go to the new Ikea here in town today. At least we'll get some exercise walking around it and it will be cool. Then maybe stop for lunch at the brand new Cracker Barrel. One opened just off the I-15 and Blue Diamond [ in Bass Pro Shop's parking lot- if you are familiar with Vegas.]
For three days we've had a lot of smoke from Calif fires. Finally wind is coming from south and blowing it away. Couldn't even see the mountains behind us.
Congratulations on the new Roadtrek - so exciting. Enjoy it.
Stay cool and dry everyone.

good morning ladies
So happy for you Donna on your roadtrek, maybe you'll make your way west someday
Carol, when I moved to AZ from the cooler climate of Colorado it took me years to adjust
to doing things opposite of what I was used to. Las Vegas weather is just like Scottsdale/Phoenix.
Brutally hot in the summer! For us, cooler day trips are easy to do with just a two-three hour drive.
When I get my motorhome,,,,,,I'll be gone ALL summer, July and August!
Not doing anything today, I will say tv is getting rather boring lately, household chores are done
so maybe a little internet surfing and game play. Still have christmas tubs to sort through but I'm not
up for that.
4 days left of my liver treatment and I can enjoy my wine again, looking forward to that, just in time
for back to school craziness.
Ok, gonna get to surfing, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Donna, so happy for you with your new ride. I drove a full size van for many years and still miss my van.

It is raining lightly here and has been for a while. I heard it raining during the night but didn't see what time. The farmers in the area are trying to cut rice so the fields are going to be a mess. Carol, I'm with you, thank god for air conditioning. Except when the bill comes in. I was in the old house yesterday changing some door hinges and I could only do one and have to come cool off. The hinges that were under water are falling apart and I was afraid one of the doors was going to fall.

I need to get dressed, I have to go get my hair cut. Hope I don't forget my umbrella.

Can't wait to read about your Roadtrek, Donna, and see photos. A Roadtrek has always noon on my secret wish list. I hope it is perfect for you! :-)

I will second that thank goodness for AC, as we are headed for a record today somewhere around 108 they predict! Ugh. Going out to Curves soon then will stay in and cool. Stay cool, dry and safe all.

Morning all, at least for a little while yet. Heat seems to be on everywhere....100 today and even hotter Thurs and Fri. But they were predicting 108 and have changed it to 104 YAY a cooling trend ha ha

Went to a local Farmers market yesterday and their produce was so darn nice but I only bought what I needed as we have the same vendors that move from one to the other on Tues, Thurs, and Saturday so I can easily go to any of them.

I am starting to get a little stir crazy here so next week when the temps go down to low 90's I just might take a drive up to Crater Lake, it is always cooler up there and a nice drive and it would get me out of the house.

Stopped at a rest area in Montana with my generator and AC going. Headed east past Billings somewhere today.

Big excitement yesterday was getting caught in a dust and sand storm as I was filling my tanks in a state park. I had gotten out on driver's side and was on passenger's side where my water fill was when huge wind came up. Huddled against RV but could not go inside as side door near water fill was locked. So I ended up getting sand even in my shoes and my mouth, so I had to take a shower as soon as I got filled and settled. It sprinkled a few drops, but certainly not enough to dampen the dust and sand!

By the way, I was a bit irritated that Montana state parks list the resident rate on Reserve America. They mention something about this not counting taxes and other fees, but I did not realize that they would add a $10 non-resident fee. I think it is MUCH more honest to list regular rate and then give residents discounts, which is what every other state I know of does. So I ended up paying $34 for an electric site at a very dusty and basic site.

SO this morning, after a stop at Wheat Montana, where I stocked up on ham and cheese croissants, I got back on the road.

Donna, congrats on the new Roadtrek!

I think I may have found a new place to live! Will be looking at it on Saturday. I would rent a master bedroom and bath in a townhome with a woman a little older than me. I would also have a full garage to use and a jacuzzi. The rent is $450 per month for everything but she said if I was willing to walk her dog (a little Yorkie), she would cut the rent by $300! She is disabled so she pays that much for a dog walker. It would be about 12 mile drive to work, but not too bad.

I also went for my first session with a therapist today. I really like this lady and think she will be able to help me figure out how to deal with all I am going thru with my dad. I will be seeing her weekly for awhile and then as needed. Right now she is about 40 miles west of me but she is moving to the next town south of me in August. Insurance pays for it all too.

So things are starting to look up. We will see how things go. :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
