Saturday, where's Sue?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday, where's Sue?

Gmorning all :)

And Sue, you are definitely too busy if you can't be here to greet us each morning ;) Oops, or is this the week/weekend you're at UP with limited service? Anyway, miss you!

Alice Honey, good call on canceling trip to OK, especially if he does end up staying longer. And look how much more you'll accomplish on your purge attack if you're not gone for that time:) Donna, a Trek!!!:) Of course I'm especially happy for that! LindaMac, RT friend who just joined forum, just left yesterday. But we shared tips & made adjustments to our little Treks to make them more user friendly:)

Everything green & growing here! We've had a more typical summer pattern of t-storms daily for the past week, but then beautiful in between. Starting to get zukes, frying peppers (don't know their real name), beets & turnips on a daily basis. Flowers that I started from seed are finally blooming. Gardening is magical!

Need to get busy cleaning house. It has suffered between visiting & yardwork--but that's typical for me in summers  Looking forward to seeing you OSharon, so hope Jim can get awning situation resolved some way or another--& tail light issue??

Okay, y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good morning! Is it really Saturday already? Not sure where this week went! Time certainly flies and the older I get, the faster it seems to go! I had a busy day yesterday, I made 4 trips over the mountain for one thing or another. Started out picking up GS and then taking him back at noontime to meet up with DIL. They went to lunch and went to see the new movie about pets. I was invited but had other things to do. Later took Lola over to Jim for the awning fix and SIL said my brake lights and right turn signal light were flashing on and off. Oh no, another problem! So texted Jim and he'll check it out for me. Hope it's only a loose socket or something and not a major problem. I didn't need this right now, I really want to get out of here the middle of the week. So hoping real hard it's not something major! I never did manage to walk downtown to check out the vendors! And I'm only a block away! Today is rhe final day and the parade starts at 2, traffic will be terrible! Love that I can just pull into my driveway! SIL went down yesterday for a hot sausage sandwich and said prices were really high, $5 to $9 for a sandwich. Ouch! Or else I'm just cheap!

Donna, hope you get the RT, you'll love it, I'm sure! It'll be cozy for you and pup. I saw and talked to a fellow the other day about his 06 RT, took a tour of it and was impressed. The headroom was still a bit of a problem for me but otherwise it was really nice. I think part of it was that the inside was lighter colored then most of the ones I've seen.

Well, not sure what's on the agenda today but better get the hair washed and get ready for whatever happens! Gotta get some vacuuming done for sure! Hope you all have a good week end and travel safe.

At work this morning. Kind of quiet because there is a parade going thru town right now. Will probably go watch the fireworks tonight at the beach. Tomorrow is my older brothers retirement party. I have the day off for that.

My dad is somehow still communicating with the scammers. He called my brother last night and threatened to sue him if he didn't give him the $12K left from the reverse mortgage, so after a huge nasty argument, my brother transferred the money to his account. I am sure that money will be gone by the end of the week.

Anyways, hope you all have a good weekend!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Still co-camping with son and his family. Parents are out in Portland for some sightseeing and no-kids time, so I am watching them all day. Right now they are next door in their own trailer watching TV. I am making very long walks to campground Laundromat to get some laundry done. Later, the kids will want to swim in the pool. It's foggy and cloudy right now and a little cool.

Tomorrow we head off to Pacific Beach State Park in Washington. Son's furnace is not working, which is not a big problem right now, but he had trouble filling tank with fresh water the other day and pushed too hard on the fill line. Being an impatient male, of course. But that resulted in big leak with water going everywhere. He mopped it up, and has had sites with water since then, but Pacific Beach has no water hookups, so we will have to fill tank very carefully. I am going to go outside and he will watch it inside. My fear is that the plastic hose has come loose from tank, so will have another flood. He said underfloor plywood looked wet, which is not good. Hopefully, it will dry up.

If we can't put water in, they will have to use jugs to flush and everyone will have to shower here or in shower facility. And I will have to do dishes, etc. There are two campgrounds for them after that one and both have city water hookups, so just need to make it through three days at Pacific Beach State Park.

Mornin' ladies ~~~ just barely.
Not a whole lot new around here. Still on fiscal year end start / year start mad house & work and just got hit with 2 more projects at work. One is another major system upgrade (geesh, I'd like to get thru the one I'm on now first, and the other is basically just data changes. Work has finally decided to change our funky codes for countries to ISO standard coding because so many of our systems are talking to the outside world (banks, overseas offices, etc), they finally figure it's a good time. How many more eons until I can retire? Too many!

Had a good thunderstorm here the other day and a beautiful double rainbow. My friend a mile west of me got a good pic. I think it was actually the first rainbow I've seen that was the full half moon arc. I tried to get a pic of it, but it actually seem only a block away, because I pointed my camera up instead of to the horizon. No Irish luck here tho, I couldn't find the pot o'gold. :(

Took Punkin for a walk on the I & M (Illinois & Michigan) tow path this morning down in Channahon / Minooka area. He's tuckered out now. Good! He'll leave poor Zorro alone

Off to a cousins house today. At 54 he finally got his masters, in business I think. Good for him. Not much else here. Obliviously not camping, but do have a couple of weekends (one in Aug & one in Sept) and then the week in WI in October. Maybe I should take up skiing instead of camping, at least in the winter I can take all the vaycay I want and not be limited to Spring or Fall vaycay only.

Well off to the party soon. Have a good day ladies & stay safe on the roads.
