Up the Keweenaw Peninsula

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Up the Keweenaw Peninsula

Morning,

The girls and I are heading up the Keweenaw Peninsula today, to check out McLain State Park where I have reservations for August. For those unfamiliar with Michigan, it's the finger sticking ng up into Lake Superior at the western end of the Upper Peninsula. Remote as you go farther north and truly God's country.

Yesterday we were in Marquette. Did a bit of shopping and found a new light fixture for my new kitchen eating area. Then spent a couple hours down in the lower harbor park, enjoying the lake and beautiful weather. Took pics, because of slow internet at certain times, not sure if I can post them or not.

CArol, glad to see you are finally getting some things done at the house now that your handyman has showed up. That was a surprise I am sure. And so was announcement about heading back to FL for July. Hope they can get your MH repaired quick, so you can have your freedom back and get back to cooler weather. Barb, sorry apt., didn't work out, but wasn't meant to be. Something wil show up.

Guess I had better get this day moving along here. Lots to see and maybe rain moving in toward late afternoon. So gonna wish you all a nice day and move along here :)

Good Morning Everyone !! Earlier this morning my route south was selected for me, as I turned on the Tv they were reporting two wrecks in area that I would get on I -75 , and traffic was heavy. This trip I was thinking of just getting there but think I will be taking a scenic route, and no rush, just thinking to be there Friday.

Skylights are all fixed and we talked of other things I need done, but that's for when I get back. Sure is nice to leave with main repairs done.

Ok time to get last out and I'm off !! Have a good day all

Stay Safe,
CArol

Good Morning, It is only going to be in the low 80's today with low humidity. I am definitely grateful! Sounds as though you are enjoying your well deserved break Sue. I was happy to see CArol post that help arrived and did the repairs. It is difficult to find people willing to do home repairs who actually know how.
Sue you have mention a couple of things recently that I see no reference to in the forum, or am I just not reading all the posts. I didn't see any thing about Barbie having more family issues or that the apartment didn't work out. Is there a FB chat that I don't see or ???
Hope everyone who is in the extreme gets relief soon. I always thought at some point I would end up at least part of the year on the northern Ca or Oregon coast but guess those ocean breezes will have to come via my imagination.
Safe journeys to all on the road.

Good morning. Got up to cool and cloudy this morning. We never did get any rain the other day and we sure could use some. The grass is actually getting crunchy! Sue, sounds like you are having a good time and CArol, scenic is good! Anita, if I can finally get Lola fixed I do want to finish my trip to Carolb's! So maybe.... Still waiting on insurance company but about ready to say the heck with them and just bite the bullet and get it fixed and deal with them after the fact.

Not sure what I'll get into today, I need some more boxes so may run into Lowes and pick up a few more. So with that, I'll just wish you all a good day and hope you all ahve a good day. Travel safe!

Good Morning,

BJ, Barbie's post is on Monday's Morning Coffee. Guess I missed the fact CArol was going to be on the road today! Yes, scenic is good if you aren't in a hurry.

I was up too early thanks to barking dogs that came yesterday. Having a bit of trouble getting a move on. I did go back out yesterday twice to finish washing the truck and camper. Need to do some detail work yet. Not sure what's happening today - probably some genealogy and the John Grisham book I'm reading.

Make it a great day and safe travels.

Another very warm California day, and add smoke to the mix from a fire up the hill. Ongoing battle with decluttering, otherwise not planning much due to heat and smoke. Hoping all have a good day, whatever you are up to. I'd prefer to be camping with those who are out in nature.

A little cooler in Napa, today. I am headed off to the dentist to get him to look at one area of my gum that looks infected around the tooth he prepared for a cap last week. Then son will take me to grocery shopping for our trip to the beach tomorrow. Going to be gone two days then back here for five days before heading north to Oregon and Washington for two weeks together.

Had a nice long bike ride yesterday and the day before, and posted some photos of downtown Napa, if anyone is interested.

Yes, BJ, i decided against the apartment because of the dog issue there. Don't want my cat terrified all the time!

The police officer who contacted me about my dad got ahold of Adult Protection and a woman called this morning but I was on my way to work. I called her back later but got her voicemail. We were so busy at work today so i left her a message to call my older brother and talk to him about what is going on. Don't know if she got ahold of him tho. Will call her in the morning before work and see what she has to say.

No word from the guy I met the other day...

We got a receptionist at work now. About time! With as busy as it has been lately, we really needed one. She is very nice but I noticed she is/was a cutter by the scars on her arms. She has a service dog with her. The tag on the dog says he is for emotional support. Not sure being around scissors and razors is a good place for someone like her to be working!

Heading to bed early tonight and can sleep in some in the morning. Still really tired. Too much emotional stress lately!

Hope you all had a fun, productive day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
