Off To Marquette Tuesday

Morning,

Beautiful sunny but cool morning here in the U.P. It's below normal for temps right now. Only into the 60's for today and yesterday was chilly enough that I put my fall jacket on when I took the dogs out in the evening for a short walk. But sure felt good after the 80's were were having prior to that. Rest of week looking to stay around 70ish temps and maybe some rain on Thursday. I"m the only one here at the resort at the moment, but starting tomorrow, others will be arriving each day into the weekend. So if those of you in the hot weather want to cool off, come to MI. Even 80 degree weather will probably feel better to those in the extreme heat areas.

Barb, sorry to hear that you are going to have to go around with you dad's situation again. It's crazy that nobody can see to find a solution to it before he loses his house and everything else. I have headrd stories of others who have been victimized and it's so sad. Those who pry on the elderly should be locked up and the key thrown away. Judy, hope all goes well with eye exams etc.
Been pretty quiet on here of late, so guess a lot of the regulars are busy with summer stuff. Nice to see a number of new people posting though.

Time for me to get my act together here too. Need to take dogs for a potty walk and then hit the road. Marquette is a bit over 30 mile drive so want to get going. Haven't decided if I am taking the dogs or not. In a way, I'm a bit leery of leaving PIper here as she is just puppy enough to get into something. Home is one thing, but here is another. Left them yesterday for awhile and they were okay, but this will be more than a while. We could go take a nice walk by the harbor while there, so might.
Y'all have a nice day out there.

Good Morning Everyone !!! There are several things going on here that will be a huge change for July, other then what I planned :) First, I am going to Florida for the month of July !!! yes, I am a wee bit nuts but have very good reasons for going. I will go and spend the month at my DD's and swim with my grands and I will take my rv to Tri Am in Ocala, have an appointment to have it fixed. This means quite a bit of driving for my DD but she suggested this idea, so I'm taking her up on it. My rv guy up here this time of year is his busiest and Tri Am is slacked somewhat anyway can get it right in and I know they do good work. After this decision was made, here is a knock on my door and my guy who used to fix everything for me, was standing there apologizing as he said he didn't get messages , well, we'll let him by with that as he is going to fix skylight today for me. So, many things have changed, now I'm just praying I can survive July in Florida  Having the floor in my rv fixed is an absolute must as I can't be messed up for my winter plans, and if any money left, some travels before winter   The two main items I have stewed about and called and tried so hard to get solved are automatically being solved for me. What a huge relief, but you know I knew it would all work out somehow, just had to keep trying and not worry about it and enjoy each day and let it all go. I did, and now for so many reasons I am a very happy camper, just have to have faith.

I have things about packed to go, plan on my guy , hopefully to not mind loading some of this stuff I am taking to my DD. Its heavy and I can't lift heavy stuff anymore, I have had too, but not supposed too, but you know how it is when you have no one else around ? right ??

Its not helping that I woke up this morning with a really bad pain in my left shoulder, I slept wrong and every once in awhile I move it just wrong and wow!! I've done this before, with both shoulders, broke down and took something so should be working soon.

Barbie, I'm so sorry you're having another time with your Dad. The calls I sometimes receive are so enticing, its Free, whatever they're offering, then you say something about gosh, I'd love it, no payments or anything, that's so great of you guys, they hang up on that !!!! But I wonder just how many they do get to fall for this crap. If I don't call you for an item, you surely are not calling me to sell me ANYTHING . I hope something works out for you and your family soon though.

Well, need to get off of here, have a few things I want done and its taking me forever, with this shoulder, I'm such a baby :o

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe, and Sue enjoy your time up there where I would love to be  Instead I'm going the other way
Stay safe, those that are traveling those enduring terrible temps and floods and storms, take care all,

Good Afternoon!

Sue such a well deserved vacation! CArol I am so happy things are falling into place for you! I know how hard it is when you can't get things done! Barbie, it is beyond me how your dad doesn't fall under some program/law/whatever that would put a stop to all this nonsense! I know it weighs on you, but sometimes it's good to let go because you can't do anything but worry. Yes, I know, easier said than done. O'Sharon, maybe you'll get up to Carolb's when I'm in the neighborhood at Cooperstown - July 20-27.

Rained some early this morning - felt good to just be able to stay in bed! I did go out and finally get the bugs off the front of the truck and camper. Would have continued but had sweat pouring into my eyes - only 73 but 77% humidity!

Have a good day and safe travels to those on the road!

I took a ride yesterday to Historic Smithville near here. Reading online I knew it was a bunch of shops and an inn, but I expected to read more there about the buildings, etc. Pretty little place, had ice cream for lunch and came home. Still plan to get back down to Cape May and also there are wildlife refuges around here.
