Reality check day I guess, some of us probably need it. June is moving right along. Rain moving in for later today. It's good, as we needed what we got yesterday. Hope you gals in FL are as ready for the tropical storm as you can be. Some areas expected to see as much as 8 inches of rain, wow!
Busy week on my agenda. Two house closings, Chiropractor appt., finishing up packing, finish the table project for neighbor and whatever else comes up. Bunch of little things to tend to. No pressure though, just a leisurely flow. Hoping the fence guy gets back to me. Am considering having them install new fence, rather than do it myself, depending on how much it costs.
Brain is already plotting the day, so am going to say, Have a Nice Day, and get going.

Good morning Sue and all... hoping you have a smooth week ... I am hoping that tropical storm goes the north of us we are pretty far south of the Brevard county... I don't want to be in a tropical storm I don't want to be in a hurricane the hurricane comes along I want to head north to Virginia... my dad says he will not go anywhere... so where in the heck does that leave me... I could really let loose on all this crap but I won't... I am just glad I'm getting away for the weekend coming up there's less stress in my life when I'm at a campground... have a good day & B safe...donna

Morning all.
We are on the inner edge of the storm track here so we're already getting lots of rain, later today and tomorrow is supposed to be 3-6 inches of rain and strong winds. Should make driving home from work at 11:00pm interesting.
I've been through two hurricanes before and coming from tornado alley, they just don't bother me much. It's super windy and rainy but really not all that bad. The exception being Andrew, that one was awful.

Good Morning to All - Sue your energy astounds me. I remember our move last year and just get tired thinking about it. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.
I wish (I'd better careful about that) that we could get a little wind and/or rain here in Vegas - going into our fourth day of over 100s yesterday was 109 - set a record - today is supposed to be 108 then a cool down to 104 before heading back up again. By end of week we'll have a cold wave - 98 and 99! Never cooled below 80 last night. Glad the 2nd fix on the AC worked. Kept it comfortable in here yesterday.
I hope to watch the delayed NASCAR race today and finish my quilt while I watch it. Don't have any errands that need to be run. Or any chores around the house.
Have two more doctors appointments then I hope we can get on the road in the new RV for a while again.
Stay safe if you're on the road and cool and dry if you're settled in somewhere.

Good Morning All, Cool and Dry here. I too wish they could pipe some of that rain out here to us!
Nothing on the agenda today except a hair cut. The softball World Series has been fantastic! Several very good games and excellent playing. Tonight begins the finals with Oklahoma and Auburn.
We are late on getting our windows washed. My computer sits at the window and it is really dirty. It interferes with watching the people out on the street!
I am so ready to go camping...I don't leave here until July 30th...seems so far away.

Good morning ladies
Asirimarco, if you get too hot, take a drive up to Mt Charleston, its
cool with pine trees and not far from vegas, its sort of west of Las Vegas,
Maybe an hour away. A friend of mine went yesterday, said it was 77 up
there.
My little excursion in the motorhome yesterday was fun. Extremely hot
but found out a few things about the motorhome that needed attention.
Taking it in tomorrow to Genes RV repair to get it all done. Will leave
it for a couple days. Have to fix the generator for one as the roof ac
needs to work to keep the dogs cool.
Maggie is scheduled for dental surgery on Thursday, means I'll have to
make two trips to the valley that day.
About ready for a snack, y'all have a great day, be safe.

Frosty and Posse are at it this morning. Posse thinks she has Frosty cornered in the bathroom. She didn't see me carry him out. He can't leave well enough alone, he will be trying to sneak up on her next.
I decided to clean the coffee maker this morning. So after running vinegar through it twice, a pot of clear water and forgetting what I was doing I am just now getting coffee made.
I don't remember how many hurricanes I have been through. Audrey, Andrew, Lilly, Rita and Ike are ones that caused us damage. We have evacuated for others that missed us. My first hurricane was when I was about 3 and my dad was stationed in Ft Lauderdale. That is probably my first memories. I remember being in a big warehouse with army cots and sugar cubes in green cans. They were probably running generators because I remember it was noisy because an engine was running. I don't wish a hurricane on anyone but so glad this one is not coming here. Saturday and yesterday we would have been moving the horse, the dog, vehicles, tractors, trailers and moving stuff up on the hill. A 6 foot storm surge would have probably put water here again if it came in with a high tide. I need to clean the junk off the old carport so I won't have to do it if a storm decides to head this way. One less thing to do.
I need to go get my phone changed over to the one my son gave me. Wonder what kind of crap AT&T will give me. I just found out we have an AT&T store in Abbeville. They built a strip mall the other side of Walmart with some of the stores that like to be near a Walmart. I think I have only been to the Dollar Tree over there once. There was a piece in the paper about the new fast food places that are coming. We are getting a Papa Johns Pizza, Dairy Queen, Hardies and some other one I have never heard of. I thought the economy was bad. Abbeville really needs another Pizza place. That will make the 6th one in a town of abut 12,000 people. We had a Dairy Queen 20 years ago and it went broke.

Kind of late getting on here today...
Last night I went to visit a friend of mine I grew up with. We had a cookout and took a walk along the lake she lives on. It was a beautiful evening! We had a nice chat. I made and brought strawberry shortcake for dessert which was wonderful!
Today I finally got to see my daughter, Naomi! We met at a Perkins just south of Minneapolis. She is sure growing up to be a pretty young woman! She is 15 now. We had a great time catching up on what she has been doing. She is doing great in school and is playing volleyball and golf now. She spent her birthday (March 29th) in Hawaii! I gave her a few birthday presents and took a few pictures. The visits are always way too short. Just over an hour this time. I usually kind of crash and burn emotionally for the following week or so afterward. It is hard knowing it will be another year before I get to see her again.
I had a splitting headache when I got back home so took a long nap on the couch all afternoon.
Hope those in Florida stay high and dry! My friend down there in Crystal River said her neighbors homes all got flooded but her house is just about a foot or so higher than the water level, so she is still dry, but the water is just over her seawall.

Barbie, each year I love seeing your picture with Naomi. Her smile shows she enjoys seeing you as much as you do her. Only a few more years and she'll be able to decide how often to gtg. Hopefully that will be much more frequently.

One beautiful young lady, Barb. What a blessing to know that you have a foundation of connections with her that have a chance to grow and strengthen as she gets older. (((hugs)))

Two truly beautiful girls are Barbie and her daughter, who looks more and more like Mama each time. It's really a shame you don't get to see her more often, but I guess you actually do get to see your daughter more often than I get to see mine who lives in Oregon. At least you know where she is and that she's alive and that she's truning into a gorgeous young woman!
