Morning all,

Bright sunny morning here. Today is the day we remember all those who gave their lives in service of our country. I will be going to the township cemetary here later today to put flowers on my parents grave. My dad was in the Army during WWII so he will have a flag on his grave as will a lot of others there. It's always so pretty seeing all those flags flapping in the breeze on this day. Being this area was settled back in the mid 18000' there are a lot of vets up there from many wars. It's maintained by the township and many people also take care of graves too, so there are a lot of plants and flowers all over. Looks like a cemetary should, well cared for a tended by loved ones as well.

Vac ran already this morning and had to clean up the kitchen floor as Miss Piper was digging and came in with muddy feet. So prompty took care of that . One pail of water, one towel and one reluctant dog, Our hot muggy weather has flown the coop to be replaced by much drier and nice weather. So today is going to be shovel winter out of my truck first thing. Can't believe how dirty it is inside. Am embarrassed to have it that bad. Also need to wash out the truck bed as it's going to be hauling boxes in a couple of weeks. Will probably run mower over grass again.

Asirimarco, thought you two were all finished with your IN property. Didn't you sell it? Carolb, nice to be able to admire neighbors flowers while waiting for yours, Donna, sounds like you and Margie had a great time. I need to get into my trailer and get it cleaned up and stuff back where it belongs after winter storage. Hopefully this week. Looks like everybody's busy with one thing or other.

Well, time to get busy here too. Off to clean the truck while morning is still cool. Have a nice Memorial Day everyone.

Morning, Sue!

I hear you about a dirty vehicle. I've always kept a very clean one and tried to stay on top of it... not possible here in FL. It's always full of sand and has a slight funk from the moist sea air (smells wonderful until its closed up in a car on a hot day), the sand sticks like glue to everything and the sea air creates a coating that is kind of grainy and sticky. When we first got here I was taking the car to the car wash every week (no car washing at the condo) but it got very expensive... so now I just live with a slightly funky sandy car.

If I were home I'd head to the national cemetery where my folks are buried and put some flowers on their grave, but I'm 1200 miles away so I'll content myself in the knowledge that it will have a beautiful flag on it.

Mornin' ladies ~~~
I'm still catching upon things here so forgive me if I forget a bunch. Sue ~ great news on the house situation. You're probably glad that is finally settled and you know what's next. Maybe you can just build a conveyer belt to move boxes from one house to the other instead of packing up truck & unpacking. ;)

Sounds like Carol will have a pretty garden, once those seeds start growing too. And little Pheebe and Bindi are making their moms proud every day.

Have fun at any cookouts or gatherings today, and remember our veterans and those currently serving our country. God Bless.

Good Morning All, Sun out today so should make all the people planning picnics happy as rain had been in the forecast earlier. Did an unplanned mopping of part the kitchen floor yesterday. I was filling a glass with water at the refrigerator door when my cell phone rang, I left my glass filling and picked it up and got involved with conversation. A few minutes later, while on the computer, I heard a funny noise...  I need to remember I have a one track mind most of the time.

Must be the season for cleaning vehicles. My RV is really dirty and my brother offered his grandson and his friend to wash and wax it. He will supervise the process so I know they will do a good job or if not, he will keep them at it until it is done right. He is keeping them busy earning money this summer and more importantly, teaching them how to work. They also have several mowing jobs that pay well so I think the summer will be a good experience for all. :)

Morning is almost over and I need to get busy straightening up the house, I have an appointment with a lady at two who is having cataract surgery tomorrow and couldn't stand to have her eyes or face near her eyes touched. Was able to fix that last week so now to reinforce if needed and get her calm for the surgery. I enjoy what I do as I work with people for so many different problems it is a challenge.

Sue, when you finish your car you can come do mine. It isn't so much dirt as stuff that needs to be unloaded. I usually have 2 bags of cat food, one for the old house cats and one for the inside cats. I can't bring a bag of cat food in until I can put it in the container or they will open it for me. There's stuff that needs to go in the motorhome and probably several days of mail.

I had a phone call from an unknown number which we usually don't answer. I answered it to keep Harold from just picking up the phone and putting it back down. I tell him not to do that because then they know it's a good number and will call again. It was the computer scam wanting to fix my computer. I told her I was in a nursing home and they wouldn't let me have a computer. She hung up on me. I like to mess with these people. Yesterday I had a call about my gas credit card. You should have heard that conversation. She wouldn't tell me any information and I wouldn't volunteer any. They think my card had been compromised and wanted to cancel it and send me new cards. I told her to do what ever she thought was best. I called the number on the back of my card and it really was a call from them. I won't know if there is a problem until I get my statement.

The conveyer belt reminded me what Harold wanted to do in our old house. We had a long snack bar. He wanted to make it a conveyer belt with a trash can at the end. He could flip a switch and everything would go in the trash.

Our temperature has made it to 90 but it feels hotter than that. There is no breeze at all. Guess I complained about the wind too much. No cookout planned because the icebox is full of leftovers.

Good evening!
Got up and went to my brothers house this morning and set up my tent to waterproof it. Sprayed it all, including the rain fly and then went back home. I think I inhaled some of the fumes because I got a headache, so I laid down and took a nap. My brother and his wife (the ones I get along with) invited me to come back in the afternoon for a BBQ cookout, so I did. We had a nice meal and conversation for about 4 hours. Packed up my tent and headed back home. That tent is so easy and quick to set up and take down! Just a few minutes each way!

Didn't get out in the kayak at all. Clouds are rolling in with heavy rain and storms heading this way so best to hunker down for the night. It was a beautiful day tho! Sunny, breezy and low humidity (and no bugs)! Perfect!

Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day!
