Morning,

Brain too tired to think of something quirky for a title today and you ladies said you like a reality check anyway. Been really busy here between cleaning up yard and getting ready for two showings, yesterday evening and today. Wind blew oak leaves down all over back yard on Sunday, so spent time yesterday blowing the yard off, washing off deck and porch, trimming shrubs etc., running vac and so forth. Yesterday's showing was an agent who was here last week from a small independent office and they were here for way over an hour. Makes me wonder if same people back for more serious look. Most are here and gone in way shorter time. So will see f anything develops. Just need to pick up a little this morning before dogs and I head out. "Payday" today, so bank, errands, etc. while house is being shown.

Carolb, hope you got your coffe finally and I'll bet you got that tank refilled  Wonder if Martha and Nikki cancelled out on trip with all the rain hitting TX. Alice, thanks for the report on PattyK. Won't be long and you will be out for what's going to be a great summer.

Time to be off here and have my morning fruit, get dressed and pick up a little. You all have a nice day.

Morning, Sue!

I must've missed where you're selling your house, are you heading out full time? And I appreciate the reality check, until I saw the title, I thought it was Tuesday!

Not much doing here, beautiful sunny day but I have to go to work in a bit so I'll enjoy it fleetingly.

No Mickie, I'm downsizing from an over 3200 sq. ft. House and 3-+ acres to a smaller house and yard, on the small lake here. I have a contingency offer on it, but once my home is sold, I will have an inspection done on that property and if there are too many expensive issues needing repairs, then I may have to full time till I find another place. Trying to stay in this neighborhood if I can.

Holy cow, 3200 sqft!!!! Our condo is 650 and it seems roomy to me. LOL It's so nice that you love your neighborhood enough to want to stay, that's how we were back in IL, we owned three different houses over the years, all within the same neighborhood.

Good morning, all. I cancelled my reservation for the trip, but I don't know if Martha did. Between my fear of driving in heavy rain (Texas has the heaviest flash rains I've ever experienced, the kind that leave you totally blind beyond the windshield wipers, so you can't see where the semis are as they send plumes of water out on both sides, and they terrify me.) And the dog's hysteria during thunderstorms, I opted to stay home. Of course when I was getting the rig ready, I found a leak and the window in the coach door was loose and had slid down into the frame about an inch.  The good news is none of that bothers me any more. It's just the way it is and I get to pretend I know how to fix stuff. I even bought a ladder and a caulk gun! It rained last night so when I finish this post, I'll go out and see if my smearing seams with caulk did any good and if the window is still where it belongs. I have serious hitch itch and am trying to figure out a way to afford traveling this summer. Sue, I think you're right that only a season on the road is going to tell me whether I'm up to full timing or not. I'm rambling. Same old stuff.

Barbie, I'm so sorry that you're in pain over your father's situation. You and yours are in my prayers.

Stay safe everybody! Mickie, it's great that you're back.

Just thought of this: do any of you know the best way to sell gold jewelry? I have some booty left from the marriage back in the dark ages. Maybe I could sell it for some traveling $?

Nikki, if you have no attachment to it and it isn't really good old jewelry, you could take it to several places that offer to buy gold and see who offers the best price. Or you could see if a jewelry or consignment store would take it. Jewelry is very very difficult to sell on eBay. Check it over carefully to see if there are any marks like 12k or 18k, check to see if it is signed, Coro, Pennino,Trifari etc can be researched in depth here. But it has to be old (you can tell by looking up the mark) and in excellent shape to be worth much. https://www.illusionjewels.com/research ... marks.html Gold has dropped considerably in price over the last year or so. :(
