Spring ahead Sunday

Gmorning all:)

Losing that hour of sleep this a.m. as you spring forward? I'm in AZ still, so not here:) But isn't it a great feeling that spring is just around the corner!

Sounds like all is well here on MC, except for a few of you with colds, vertigo, allergies. All is well with me & pups. Took Ape & Tigg for teeth cleaning with "Doggie Dental" --the "dog whisperer" who does it with no anesthesia. Both dogs done in less than an hour & much cheaper than one dog at a regular vet! Happy dogs!

I'm back in Mesa for the next couple weeks. Alice's camp driveway will be lonely without her, but do you think I wish she were here when she has this fantastic trip going on with her new honey???

BJ, I'm reading Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand. Had heard so much about it over the years, & then found Lyn reading it--so she gave me her copy. Not easy reading, but I'm finding it very very intriguing. Over a thousand pages of tiny print, & I've only been through 300 pages so far.

Y'all have a great Sunday, & I do hope it's sunny for y'all:)

Good Morning Carolb, Alice and everyone,

Can tell it's Sunday as never much posting going on here on Sunday morning. Yes, I remembered to change my clocks. Don't want to be late for mass. I love the upcoming longer evenings So nice be to outside and maybe even taking two walks a day too or if busy can move the afternoon one to evening instead.

Just got home from church and quick run to store. Put girls outside and am going to fix a little bite to eat pretty soon. Not a whole lot on the agenda today Think it will be kind of a goof off day. Have some paint areas in bedrooms and elsewhere to touch up, but may not do that till next week. I did go look at a house for sale up the road from me here, on the little lake across the street. It's only a 1000 sq. ft. house which is good for one person. Nice little clean house, but does need to have the roof replaced. As to condition of septic, mechanical's etc, only an inspection will reveal that. I did go through this place last fall so this is second and more thorough look see. It's outdated as was built in 1975, but very clean and nothing that can't be changed with some paint. But need to decide if it's the place for me. Budget is tight, so not a lot of leeway to do things, although it would be less cost than what it is in this big 3000 + sq. ft. house I am in now, that counts my basement. Living room and one bedroom are a bit small, but can put a twin bed in the small bedroom and just use it when I happen to have company or something. Living room may require some thought to furniture arranging. One corner is taken up by fireplace, which is nice and it has a lovely view on the lake too. Nice deck outside.
If I were to decide to buy the place I might have to have a GTG/Painting party here, hahahaha. Lot is small which means less yard work, not that I can't keep up with what i have here and I love to redo anyway. So some thinking to do here. No rush. Right now it's at a point where if the house sells before I make up my mind, so be it and I will just bide my time here. But I don't think it will go too qick as 2 bedroom homes are not in demand around here right now. Which is another thing to think about. Will I have issues down the road if I decide to sell somebody. Nice thing is, it's all on the level, no stairs etc. CArol, did mention to me that I could be using up my travel fund and not having fun if I get into that place with all that needs doing.

Okay, enough talking about house. Anybody want to chime in though, you are welcome. In the meantime, I am off to check on the dogs and then get some lunch here. Have a nice day everyone.

Hi Carolb, good to hear from you. I wish there was a Doggie Dental place around here. I really don't like the idea of having to sedate Hank to clean his teeth. Especially since I have to sign a paper that says he might die. I guess they don't do cats. lol I bought something at Walmart to clean teeth with but haven't tried it yet. It's a 2 man operation to just get the flea treatment on some of the cats. It's Annie's turn to go to the vet. Peggy is such a calm person that she actually got to see Annie while she was here. Annie would come out and look at her until she said something. Goofy cat.

The sun is shining and it's not raining. We might actually have 3 days without rain. I remembered to change the clock in the living room so Harold wouldn't be late for Mass. Time change doesn't mean much to us retired people unless we have to be somewhere on time.

Morning Carol, Sue Ava (you're cheeks sore from all the smiling?), Martha, and all (any?) that follow ~~~

Carol can you post a link to that doggie dentist? I'd be curious, because Zorro needs some teeth pulled I'm sure, but at 14, I'd be a little worried about knocking him out. Could ask around here if anyone would have something similar.

Sue, might be a good idea to get the inspection done anyway. Besides the roof, you'd know if there are any other hidden problems. Mold is a big one nowadays too. I think when I get ready to sell, I'm going to get my own inspection to know if there would be anything to fix, give to possible buyers (but they should get their own anyway), and would help me know best pricing and if buyers are low-balling any bids.

Punk went with yesterday to pay storage for Colt and to Mom's. One tired pupper at the end of the day, and he had some fun wanting to chase squirrels, and the golf balls when the golfers teed off.

Rainy here today and most of this week. It's Spring. Thanks to Birdie, saw another giant flock of cranes yesterday knew they were sand hills. They seem to migrate like pelicans, go in circles, fly straight a little, fly in circle, etc, etc etc. Makes for a long migration I would think.

That's it for this A.M. Time change didn't have too much affect on me, but I'm guessing going to bed tonight with not be easy. Never is on Sunday anyway.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe of the roads.

Good morning everyone.
Good to see that Carolb is taking the slow way back east, that Ava is smiling so much lately :D , that you didn't miss Mass, Sue (I woke up 5 minutes after mass started so went to a different church this morning). Need to catch up on what everyone else is up to...
Went to San Diego yesterday to visit Gaby - spent most of the day shopping. Her beau is scheduled for his visa interview on Thursday. Hope all goes well so he can get back here soon.'
Need to straighten up the apartment today after having the grands here for a week & then maybe a run to the dog beach to just relax a little & exercise that diesel engine.
Gosh it's late so I'd better get moving...
Stay safe everyone & enjoy what this day brings.

Good morning gals!

Have the day off and am riding with my SIL down to Mankato, MN for a baby shower for my nephew and his wife.

Judy, here is a link to an exercise video I have done for vertigo that is easy and works well... https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=ve ... ORM=VRDGAR

Ava, your new man has a great smile like yours! So happy for you! Have fun on your trip!

I made a tough decision this week to rehome Sophie. She needs a lot more room to burn off all her energy and this studio is just too small for that. Now that she is a lot bigger, and actually bigger than Lola now, she plays way too rough with Lola and Lola gets really upset and screams a lot. I decided it was best to find her a better home for everyone's best interest. I posted an ad on CL and got a ton of responses (Siamese are popular and hard to come by). I waded thru all the responses and narrowed it down to two that sounded like the best situation for her. Decided on a young gal who has a large apartment and another Siamese cat. She recently had to put her other Siamese down due to health issues and her other cat is lonely. The one she put down was a high energy cat too so she was sure that Sophie would work out well. I am hoping it does too but told her if it doesn't, that I will take her back and find another home for her.

So it is quiet around here but Lola knows Sophie is gone and she immediately came over to me last night for a belly rub which she hasn't done for a long time. She is much more relaxed now and even slept on the bed with me last night. More belly rubs this morning! :D

Ava, your new man has a great smile like yours! So happy for you! Have fun on your trip!

Spring is here, was 70* yesterday and will be warm for the next several days with rain which hopefully will knock out the ice on the lake before next weekend when the temps take a nosedive back below freezing.

Need to finish getting ready for our roadtrip to Mankato! Have a good day! :D

Stayed in bed forever this morning, but at least vertigo is slowly getting better. Have been doing the Epley maneuver, but it is hard to do myself and on my bed because of how it is oriented.

Got lots of work to do today, so got to get moving, now that breakfast and tidying up is done.

Glad the days will be longer in most states now because it means less of a rush to get somewhere before dark. When it gets dark so early in the winter, it becomes a rush, so now it will be more leisurely.
