Friday, March 11th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday, March 11th

Morning,

Some mornings it's hard to think of a title or else the brain isn't awake yet  Another week almost over. Seems like it was just March 1st and now almost half gone, talk of spring breaks, summer road trips, GTG's going on. Am watching the Weather Channel showing the tremendous amount of rain in Louisiana and elsewhere and thinking of those of you you are in the affected states.

Nothing exciting on agenda today. Might finish up the last room/closet today. Have appt. for taxes this afternoon. Can't file but can get things ready as far as we can go and then when the last form arrives, can just finish up and send. Piper is having a drag out anything and everything morning. Molly went off to take a nap.

So as your can see, nothing much doing here. Am going to quit jabbering and wish you all a nice day. Maybe somebody out there has more exciting news.

Good Morning
First a Nicky update: He is eating and drinking again! Still have no idea what was wrong yesterday but seems to be gone now and I'm so grateful.
Today is my last day at Wickham. Had a delightful surprise last night, neighbor invited me to dinner. They are from Maine and have a very heavy accent. Some other family lives nearby so there were 3 generations there last night. Both the food and company were great.
No wildlife encounters for past few days until last night. A very persistent little tree frog was determined to get inside; had to get him off the door 3 times. This morning my rug and chairs was covered in raccoon paw prints. Nothing out there for them unless they were after the frog.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Good Morning,

Sue, I like the day and date as a title because I usually don't know what they are! :) Those talking of a GTG in WI can't go wrong - many things to see and do. Door County, particularly in the fall, is wonderful - especially if you go to a fish boil. Sarah, glad Nicky is better! Always hard when you don't know what is wrong. Wish we could find some critters here in the desert! Usually seeing them by this time.

It has been a fun week with Liz here! LeRoy has planned rides to show her as much of the desert here as possible. We were on an exceptionally long, fast ride yesterday. One more to go today - Sandi, it will be the one you did. I think after today, I'll take a few days off to clean, do laundry, etc. :) Maybe some shorter rides.

Have a terrific day and make the most of it!!

Good Morning Everyone !! First off I am so glad to hear that Nicky is better and eating, drinking all that good stuff this morning. I imagine many are as Nicky is a sweet dog and loved by many. Between your frogs, raccoons and such you're having an exciting time there, ;) I don't remember having that much fun  :D Sue some of your energy must have crept this way, did loads here for my DD yesterday, she couldn't believe it when she got home. :D I couldn't believe it   Just one of those days I got carried away, it was a good day and I enjoyed it.

Just got out of the shower, waiting for hair to dry, painter is here and I'm hoping I can get out of one of the doors to the RV to get my laundry, think its time to change bed etc and do some cleaning in there. Its going to be warm today though, so I better get a pair of shorts out too. I'm not sure besides changing my bed what I will get into today, so no news here.

I do know its getting warm and I am still in Florida, weather is nice up home for now. I've seen snow there on 14th of April though, didn't stick, but it was cold. But temp doesn't stay down long, this is good time of year up there. Lots of yard work to do though ugh !!!

Wishing you all a great day, hey its Friday, another day here but a nice day for some ;) Those traveling stay safe, those still at home, times coming, hang on !! Have a good one whatever you choose to do today !!!

CArol
Anita snuck in this morning, glad you gals are having so much fun out there, that's a part of AZ I have never really seen and loving the pictures that have been posted. I also love the date thing for title, same reason, Sue.

It is still lightly raining all around here. The river and all the ditches are full but I haven't seen any road flooding. I had to go to a small town West of here this morning. I found some pictures of the campground I go to on Toledo Bend and it is half underwater. They are letting water out of the lake as fast as they can to keep it from overtopping the dam. This is the most water they have had since the lake was built. There will be a lot of flooding of the Sabine River all the way to the gulf. I hope this doesn't affect Vicki because they have had problems with flooding in the past.

I stopped at a local grocery store in Kaplan and picked up some sausage bread. I think the one I use to make was better. Wish I had written a recipe down because I don't remember exactly how I made it. Guess I will have to do some experimenting. I used one of the breads in a can but don't remember if it was the Crescent Roll or Pizza Crust. I don't remember if I put cheese or not. It's hell when the mind goes.

Sarah, I'm glad Nicky is feeling better. It seems like a lot of us are having problems with our fur kids. We can't remember how old our Hank is but he is getting up in age. He is getting a lot of gray in his face and he moves like me when he first gets up. I might have to get him some Glucosamine too.

I am getting tired of whining about my being sick! Good news is that cough is 95% gone. Bad news is that vertigo and migraine from yesterday is still around, although maybe only 50% as severe. I made it out to fill with water and dump my tanks, and got set up again, but I still have to be careful how I walk so I do not lose my balance. I did the Eply maneuver several times last evening, but it is really hard to do it right when you are by yourself.

So I am glad I do not have to drive until tomorrow, and it will be a short drive luckily. Frankly, I'd be happy staying here for a few more days because I really like Gilbert Ray and it is cheap, but I have reservations at Picacho Peak SP for Saturday and Sunday because I wanted to be as close as I could be to Phoenix on Monday morning where I am having my new blinds installed. If some of you were around, we would have a ceremony and a bonfire for the old ones. (Probably not good for environment, though.) Anyway, I have work to do because of end of semester and sitting still in my recliner seems to help the vertigo. Got drapes closed and TV on very low.

Had a nightmare last night. In it I woke up and found myself at my ex-husband's house with his wife and my brother (Now THAT is a nightmare). Everyone was nice to me but no one would tell me what happened or where my motorhome was. And some strange ladies from the neighborhood stopped by for a chat. Very weird. I kept telling everyone I wanted to go home to my motorhome, but I did not know where to go to find it! :?

I hear you, Judy. I am so tired of being sick and even more tired of whining. When I talk about being sick, it's whining. When you do it, it's sharing with your friends.

I'm back home after a few days at Canyon Lake. I thought a change of scenery might make me feel better. It did, a bit. It rained most of the time, so maybe some of the pollen was washed out of the air. I had to laugh when I got there and saw a blooming huisache right behind my site. Oh well, they're everywhere. Lots of lightening, thunder and wind at night, so both dogs slept on top of me. Olive can become an immovable object during storms. Matty just shakes and curls up as close as he can get, under the covers. Poor little guy is still losing his hair and chewing at spots on his legs. Vet says he's so small that there's nothing more to do. Body weight vs dosage of meds. He gets 1/2 a tab of Apoquel a day and he's off all grains. I've gotten very careful about scents.

I really want to travel this summer. Don't see how I can, but I really really really want to. Maybe I can figure out a way. Just can't imagine another south Texas summer. (That's one more thing I better accept. The list is long. See, whining again.

Hope everyone is well. I'm so glad to hear that Nicky is doing better, Sarah. Judy, thank you for your comforting words. They do help. I'm off to lie down for a while. Just no energy at all after unpacking the rig. I sure to love being in that rig.

You are right, Nikki, but I am whining also, so I changed my post!

But doesn't it feel good to whine?? It is just impossible to avoid pollen this time of year, or any time of year, for that matter, so good luck with that!

Did you see the articles about the onesies for dogs that take the place of those plastic cones? They cover a lot of the places that dogs bite at.
