Good morning all. Boy, last night ended up being exciting! I was heading upstairs to bed and halfway up the steps the lights went out in the house. Of course I don't leave flashlights on the steps so it was go up or down to find one! It was really strange because it just seemed to be just a few places near my house. I know there are different grids but this didn't seem to follow the "normal" outages we've had in the past. I don't usually bother to call to report it but because of the problems I've had with the line coming into the house in the past I did. Just a little bit of paranoia!! It took about 45 minutes, I think, and everything came back on. Then it was going around turning lights off upstairs that I had left on earlier! At least nothing was on downstairs! But I do need to reset all the digital clocks in the kitchen! Great way ago end a day! That on top of the fact that I waited around for the termite guy to come and finally called them just to be told that he was supposed to call to reschedule since the 10 to 1 didn't fit his schedule. Thanks for the phone call! So now it's rescheduled for next week. And the vet called back and wanted a urine sample for Mr D since the blood work showed some change in a couple of the levels for his kidneys. May be a couple of things but I hope its a UTI and antibiotics will get rid of it. But it apparently could indicate a couple other things. I managed to get it and got it to the clinic that's only about 5 minutes from the house before they left for the day. Better then driving all the way into the main office which I was figuring I would have to do. The sooner they had it the sooner I have some answers. At least I hope. The pain med doesn't seem to be doing much one way or other. No real change in him. So anyway, that was my day, hope the rest of the month goes better! Wasn't a great start to the month!

More wind today and some flurries. I sure am glad Lola and I aren"t on the road! I would be getting off the road! I could even feel the cross winds pushing in the car. March came in like a lion! And is going to roar a couple more days! Hope everyone is safe from the storms down south and if you are on the road, be safe.

Morning!
Minnesota had a record turnout for voting last night! Traffic jams all over the state! Even in the small town where I live, I got to the voting location 10 minutes before they opened and there was no place to park. By the time I left, there was a traffic jam all the way into town waiting to get in to the school to vote! Crazy! Didn't see much traffic at the republican location tho right across the street from my apartment, but MN is primarily a blue state. Rubio won his only state here and Bernie Sanders won by a landslide in MN. Hopefully, it will be an equally good turnout for the election in November. Good that people are paying a lot more attention and are much more interested in this election. Most election voter turnouts are really sad.

Anyways, cold and sunny here but we are on a warming trend with 50's again by the weekend! Yay! On Saturday night our town is having their annual Moonlight Trail Walk. There is a two mile section of a walking/biking trail that they illuminate with candles and have booths set up with food and drinks, and entertainment, etc. I have never done it before but may do that this year since it will be warmer. They moved it last year from January to March since it was way too cold in January usually to get many people to go. The end of the walk is at the Minnetonka Drive-In Diner which just opened yesterday. It is an old A&W drive-in and has a 50's flare to it. Really a fun place and great food! They have a classic car show there every Thursday during the summer that is fun to see.

Sophie already did her mayhem routine around here this morning including falling off the top of the bathroom cabinet onto my head while I was putting on my mascara! Nice mess on my face to clean up! Now she is napping!

Heading off to work here soon, so hoping you all have a great day! :D

South Texas is having a warmer than normal winter with temps in the 90's yesterday. Should be 80's today and then back to 90's Thursday. We really need rain as we have not had any to talk about so far. Will be headed to the beach this weekend and then start moseying north. Seems to be getting to move time. Several people have left the park headed home. Farmers are planning on getting into the fields. Lots of summer planning being done here as folks start getting hitch itch. Need to start my planning for what and where my summer will be. Meeting a friend for lunch to talk about it. Will try to house sit for friends before I jump into stuff.

Drove by a RV park the other day and they had 2 R-Pods for sale in the owner storage lots. Not my thing but works for some. Usually lots of different things for sale here because folks either decide to not drive anymore and buy park models or they buy another model and park the old one in the sale lot. Good way to find a used unit.

Be safe on the road and play your style if stopped.

Slept in this morning and then had a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast. Am running out of cream cheese and bagels, plus realized I am running out of some other stuff, so will need to shop on my way back to Tucson on Friday.

I have been really "bone tired" since I have been sick, so glad I could get some extra sleep. I have barely been out of my RV, other than to take out the trash because I just don't feel like it. Good news is that cough is slowly getting better. Bad news is that abdominal-diaphragm pain is still there from coughing. Will give it a couple of weeks and then go see another doctor.

Hot and hazy today, so hope everyone has a good day. Should be spring soon!

Hi everyone!

Sorry I missed the roll call yesterday, but I did remember to say rabbits.

O'Sharon, sorry about the power outage. They always seem to come at the worst times. I hope the winds settle down for you. Barbie, from watching the news, lots of places were busy yesterday at the polls. Birdie, a few people in this park are slowly leaving, too. Judy, I hope you'll be feeling better soon.

We've been staying busy here and the elderly couple that live beside us have had a couple problems, between her falling and one of their levelers for their motorhome got stuck in the ground. We were there for them both times and try to keep an eye on them when we can. Since the weather is so nice, we're spending more and more time outside and I'm still going to yoga three times a week and Steve and I try to go to the gym three or four times a week. A friend we met here last year, moved into the park yesterday and we're spending time with him and sharing meals. The coincidence is that he's from MD! Have a great day everyone!

Our weather guy said yesterday it's still February warm spell so March will begin tomorrow when we drop out of the record setting 70's back into normal 60's and some rain. Will be glad to see the rain and snow in mountains. But I was thinking, does that mean I need to remember to say rabbits again?!
Mandy is resting under the covers so I've stayed here too reading. But I gotta get going to Curves here shortly. Of course there is the exercise routine first called medicate the cat!
Mel is in a lot of pain in his rib cage in one small area on the right after pulling on something Saturday. Not sure if he fractured a rib but trying to get him to let it rest for a few days. He does have osteopenia, as I keep reminding him! Trying to decide which Dr to cal, if. I need to. Sure don't want to take him to VA for a afternoon stay as they know nothing about all his cancer stuff.we shall see. Always something around here.
Trying to stay positive is a challenge but I keep working at it.
Velda

Hi Birdie, wish I could send you all some rain. It looks like every Tuesday we have a front move through with storms or rain. Going to the beach sounds nice. I noticed all the park models for sale when we camped in South Texas. The prices looked like a good deal but don't know what it would cost to move one. The R-Pods are cute little trailers. I'm not sure I could have gotten in the bathroom of the one at last years RV Show. I would like to go to the lake but have a lot of stuff going on this month and a Getaway Gal rally Easter weekend.

Sharon, I have a couple of night type lights that come on if the power goes off so we can see enough to find a flashlight. I don't know what is wrong with the flashlights they make now. We have 4 on the counter that the batteries are good and the bulb is good but they still don't work.

Stinky has already made me let her out. Don't tell me cats are not smart. They are smart for things they want. Yesterday their food bowl was empty and she aggravated Harold until he figured out what she wanted.
