First Friday

Good Morning,
Gee, seems like it was just the first Friday of January and now it's the first Friday of February. That just brings up closer to spring, right! I'm already thinking summer mode. Just made another reservation for another U.P. state park, this one for when I l leave McLain and start back home. I posted parks and dates I am reserved in the General Talk, Spring, Summer thread.
The girls are napping after a morning of play. After spending all day Wednesday snoozing, they clicked like a light bulb yesterday morning and now that bond is complete. Play, play, rest, play, play is the word around here. Piper adores Molly and Molly is now taking her half sister under her wing a bit. Keeps a close eye on her for the most part. They are getting a bit inseparable. Both are heading for the vet this morning as both are due for rabies shots and I need to make arrangement for having Piper spayed as well. Be interesting to see how she reacts in the vets office, being as timid and shy as she is. But I think she is starting to come out of that shell slow but sure.
So, what's everybody doing today? Hope no bad weather anyplace for a change. More storms coming I know, but..... I wound up going out twice with my blower yesterday to clear end of drive from county plow. First time from when he did it late the day before and then again about an hour after I did it he came back again and this time broke the banks back. That really causes the snow to fly far back off the road and it also knocked my mailbox askew So got out some nails, spare pieces of wood, hammer etc. and repaired it. I need a new post anyway and will do that in spring. The Road Commission will replace the box etc. only if they hit it directly with the plow itself. But it' no big deal as the box is fine, just broke loose from the post itself. Life in the north country although I have to say, it's the first time in the 40 years I have lived up here.
Nothing else going on here, so am going to go get cleaned up and maybe putter with scrapbook for a bit. Got the last of my big trip pictures developed yesterday, so now can keep right on going with the scrapbook. Actually I'm just doing the pages, waitig for scrapbooks to go on sale.
Have a nice day and a great weekend everybody.
