Mornin’ Donna and all that follow ~~~
Not much going here. Dad will call in a few hours. Better if he calls me because he’s always out & about and if I call him, he’s always preoccupied with wherever he is. At 85, it’s good that he still is out and not vegging out, so am thankful for that.

Will call Mom around 9 AM. Asked if she wanted to come over for a small dinner and she said no, but maybe she’ll change her mind.
Working on training Punkin. He knows sit & paw, but needs work on the big ones – stay & come. Poor dog has had 3 names (Isaac in AL, Chester at the shelter and now Punkin at home). He’s probably confused.

That’s about it. Nothing exciting. Have a Happy New Year ladies and stay safe. Wishing you all a good year.

Good Morning Donna, Cheryl and all who follow,

Glad to hear you had a nice visit with CArol Donna. Reading about your issues with Phoebe, sounds like you have a dog who wasn't socialized when she was a pup and may be barking cause she is scared of things and people. Molly had a tendency to jump and bark at people and other dogs, but other than dogs, she is starting to settle down around people now. The more we see the better she is getting. Maybe instead of keeping Phoebe away from people and things, you should be out and about with them, letting her get used to them. I will be working with her more this winter as well. It's hard to get her to get too excited around people cause being out here in the country, we don't see that many, so no training reinforcement handy. I'm seriously thinking of getting another dog for her as a companion so she can run out all this energy she has and have some "doggie" company.

Hope you all had a nice New Years Eve. Nothing special went on here. Was in bed way before midnight. Did a little binge eating yesterday, last of it now till I get weight where I want it. So back to diet to day. Will be working in the basement for awhile today and redoing some of the insulation along the rim joist. Did some about a year ago or so but never got it finished. So will go as long gas the sheet of foam lasts. Then will have to get some more, probably tomorrow. Be nice to get that project done, and then clean the basement. Hardly anything down there but still want to clean the shelves and go through what is down there.

So, sitting here on this machine is not getting to it. Want to wish you all a Very Happy New Year. May is be filled with happiness, prosperity, good health and new friendships, GTG's, etc.. May all your hopes, dreams and plans become a reality this year. Thinking back on last year and all that has gone on in this forum, if everybody were as kind, gracious and loving as the ladies of this forum have been, the world would indeed be a better place.

Happy New Year! I actually was up and watched the ball drop in NYC! I heard a few fireworks here and it was enough to get the dogs upset. Luckily it didn't go on for long and they finally settled down. I think winter has finally arrived, 29 right now and not supposed to go up much today. Plus a bit of snow on the rooftops. Don't need the shovel yet! It looks downright cold out there! No plans for today so may just stay in and be warm! Hope everyone is safe and out of the way of all the flooding and other bad weather. Donna, warm and muggy sounds good to me :D ! I'm definately starting to dream of spring and taking a trip! Hope 2016 is a good one for everyone, good health and lots of fun adventures.

Happy New Year All, such wonderful words of love, Sue. My sentiments exactly. I am now watching the Rose Parade. I've been several times over the years. This year a San Diego High School, Mira Mesa, is marching. What a thrill for those kids.
The floats smell good too, when one tours them after the parade.
Then football the rest of the day!

Happy New Year! Hoping 2016 is better than 2015. Not that last year was bad but didn't accomplish much. I made a list of things I want to accomplish this year.

The Rose parade comes on here at 10am so will be watching that. I went to see it in person the first year I lived in California (5 years ago). That was quite an experience! Lots of things going on that you never see on TV! What is with throwing tortillas on New Years Eve? There were tortillas everywhere! Before the parade starts, the streets look like a homeless peoples convention! Bodies and sleeping bags and litter as far as you can see along the sidewalks! Did love going to look at the floats afterward to see them up close and smell all the flowers! That was awesome! There is so much work that goes into each float! I want to volunteer some day to help decorate one of the floats.

Not much else going on today. Maybe laundry and bill paying and otherwise relaxing. Hope you all have a nice relaxing day as well! :D

Happy New Year to, all. It's wet and muggy outside. I think this will be a stay in and stay warm day. Sure wish things would dry out so I could get to work on the RV. Last few day have been too windy or cold or wet or ....something.

Dogs survived hours of fireworks, sounded like big ones from about 8:00 to 12:30. Lots of shaking and panting and drooling, but they're recovered after a night's sleep. Right now they're taking their mid-morning nap. Not to be confused with the early morning and late morning naps. In an hour they'll race round the yard for awhile, wear themselves out and retire to their favorite cushions for a well deserved rest. I think they have the right idea.

I was up for mid-night and way past. I was looking for Anderson Cooper and Kathy and finally figured out that they were probably on CNN right before the ball drop in NYC. CNN replayed it all again so I watched for a while. We had some rain come through about 11:30 so that shut the fireworks down.

I am watching the Rose Parade. The one passing now has a motorhome and trailer on it. I'm not much on parades but I would like to see the Rose Parade and see the floats up close. When I was in high school in Shreveport the band marched in the Rose Parade. That was many moons ago. The ridding club I belonged to rode in all the parades. It's a lot of work to get a horse ready and try to stay clean. And either freeze or burn up.

I have my black eyed peas cooked and my pork roast started. I still need to start the cabbage. I should let Harold cook it because he says I never get it dark enough. He wants it almost burnt. I try not to burn what I cook. He is so impatient that he starts everything on high so he burns a lot of things.

My friend called last night to tell me she had been in Dillard's right before they closed and they were putting up sale signs for today. Her husband is cooking and she is going shopping. There isn't a thing I need but am tempted to go this afternoon.

Harold went to visit a neighbor this morning that has a Jack Russel puppy. He said the dog was so excited he jumped in his truck. He should have brought him home to play with Frosty. That would freak the cats out. Posse is limping on a back leg and I can't tell which one. I sure hope Frosty didn't bite her. They get on top of the cabinets and then jump all the way to the floor. I'm waiting for one to break a leg.

Happy 2016 to all.

It is a chilly 23 degrees here this morning. Hope the sun comes out soon. Still camping at the Casino until Tuesday. I am enjoying my down time. Casino had BIG fireworks last night at 10:15 and will repeat again tonite. I was dreading it as my dog does not like ANY booms of any kind. However was a good test to see just how deaf she is as I have noticed she has gotten considerably worse over the last year. The fireworks must have been set off right behind the RV resort cause they were very loud. Well she must be deaf as a post cause she never moved off the bed, didnt even raise her head LOL the shaking of the Motorhome with the booms did not even phase her. This has an advantage for sure LOL

The sun is peeking thru the clouds so think I will go for a long walk around the RV park, the dog will be happy. No plans for today as I am not going over to the Casino until all these fools go home on Sunday ha ha I have gotten so anti crowds in my old age. I might venture in to Roseburg and see about getting a few groceries, I feel like fish ha ha Seafood is my food of choice ALWAYS but I like it pretty fresh so we shall see. I have some left over spaghetti so I surely wont starve.

Anxious to get home and get started on a few projects I have going on or will get going. Plans do not always come to fruition however, but I have good intentions.

Looking forward to a great 2016

Happy 2016 to you all. Boomer was unfazed by the noise now that Monty is gone. He had started picking up on Monty's fear but when I didn't react to the noise he ignored it. I dozed off about 10:30 watching TV; woke at 11:30; went to bed and the new year arrived without my help.

Happy 2016 to everyone.

Just got back from spending Christmas with family and friends in Canada. I did manage to make it back home before the 48 hour lake effect snowstorm that is forecast for northern New York State. Home now until the end of January when I head to GA and FL for 4 - 6 weeks. Hoping there will be some gtgs when I am there as I would love to meet the FL sistas and be able to put faces to names.

May you have many adventures this coming year. Safe travels to all.
