Gmorning all:)
Hello westcoaters! Glad y'all carried the ball yesterday, so I thought an eastcoaster better open MC this a.m. to let you know we aren't all sleeping in
And soooo sorry for the loss of Maggie & Krissi
Not easy anytime, & now too close to the "happiest" time of year. My heart goes out to both of you, CArol and Sandi,& to those of you who will be going through your first Cmas without your best buddies...Donna, special thoughts of your Maggie, as you enjoy your first Cmas with her "little sister" ...
I too must have missed the post about your new little ones, Kathleen. I like the names "Noel & Holly"--or maybe a "Carol" as in Cmas Carols???
What do you other "Carols" think of that one
Still plugging away at my last chores here at sis's farm. Then going to Donna's on Thursday to spend Cmas with her, the Diva & her dad!
Hope y'all have a great day

Good rainy morning everyone,
Yes, rain here again. So much more mud! Yesterday my dogs' paws were caked with it just from walking in the back yard.
Counting down to Christmas; this will by my first without my Mom. But I will be spending it with people who care about me so I'll be ok.
Carol and Sandi, I am so very sorry for the loss of your furbabies. As Donna said, words can't take away the pain but I hope you know my heart is with yours at this time.
Need to run to a couple stores for last minute gifts and to do my grocery shopping. Only have 2 dogs today as my German Shepherd has gone away for the weekend and will be back tomorrow.
Everyone take care,
Kathy

Morning everybody,
Raining here too. Looks like some record highs for Wed. too. Gonna be a green Christmas for sure. Donna, how wonderful that Carolb will be spending Christmas with you, Diva and dad. Know you will have a great time.
Breakfast such as it was is don, load of wash put in dryer and now I have to get dressed and get myself moving here. Shopping and banking on agenda for the morning. Otherwise not much doing here. Course the afternoon walk later on, rain or not unless its a downpour which isn't supposed to be. Did our additional walk on the nature trail yesterday, so will skip that part today as too wet. Course Molly I'm sure will start heading n that direction as she loves that trail.
So, that's all for this morning here at the 45th. Have a wonderful day all, those on ther road or making plans to be on the road, travel safe.

Raining here in Ohio but at least it is a little warmer. My fingers and feet may not stay white and cold all day.
Stuart left this morning early to the vets to have his teeth polished. He is planning to go with Audrey to the Spaniel Club show in Knoxville and play in the Veteran Sweeps ring just for fun. The rest of the gang here are hanging around the office with me trying to stay as dry as they can while going out enough to keep the inside of the house "dry".
Lets face it, Puppy Josef isn't all that picky left to his own internal choices and Remi just really doesn't like rainwater unless forced to go out at acceptable intervals.
The man from the recliner came back to the office earlier this morning at check if we were exchanging gifts this year. I mentioned that his was in the mail. (an i-roomba.... I can always hope.) But I suggested that he make my gift the cost of good cleaning crew to come in and deep clean the house in the spring before I return from Florida.
I think he took the suggestion well.

Good morning all. Looks like a green Christmas here too, some sun yesterday and now cloudy again with rain to come. I ventured out to a couple of stores yesterday and for the most part people seemed to be in good moods! I like going to the stores just to pick up a couple of things last minute just to take it all in. Today I may run to the mall in Altoona to see if I can get a CD of The Piano Guys. I see they have a new (er) CD out and I enjoy their music and style. Then grab a cup of coffee in the food court and watch people for awhile. I get tired of my own company sometimes and like to get out among people. Yeh, I know, crazy, or so some of my family have told me!
Carol, glad you are going to be with Donna for Christmas. Sounds like a fun time. Liz, enjoyed the photos and tour. You take such great pics! Kathleen, hope your new babies get new names soon! Some good suggestions here!
Well, coffee is done so need to go throw a load of clothes in the dryer and get my day started. Travel safe if you are on the road and hope everyone has a good day.

Good afternoon! Am on a split shift today, so home for a few hours.
Just got a notice in the mail that my health insurance (Obamacare) has been cancelled for 2016 because I now make too much money (yeah right! $25K is not that much!). Somehow I knew those nice raises at work were gonna bite me in the butt! Not sure how one can get kicked off Obamacare tho? I thought that was for anyone. Will have to look into that. The insurance that is offered thru work is way too expensive and I just missed the deadline (last week) to sign up for that anyways. Good thing I just finished up all my physicals and dental work! Just worry about unforeseen circumstances that can pop up at any time.
Got my new tent the other day but haven't looked at it yet. May try to set it up in our large laundry room (tent is 9' X 10') and make sure it is all in working order! (If it was just a tad warmer outside I could set it up out there since there is no snow yet). Am looking forward to the two+ camping trips next summer!
On Wednesday we are closing on my dad's reverse mortgage finally! That will give us some breathing room on his finances and protect the house until it is sold someday. Will take off a lot of stress for all of us!
Hope you all have a good day

Our weather is ucky. It has rained off and on all day. At least it's not cold. I bet it's going to be foggy tonight because it is already kind of foggy. I had to bring Hank(dog) to get his shot. I wanted to make 4 other stops and I was able to get in and out with out getting wet. It's a good thing because my umbrella still hasn't made it back to the car.
I didn't go by Walmart but the parking lot at one of the local grocery stores was fuller than I have seen it in a long time. I need to make a grocery list for Christmas and not get caught trying to shop on Thursday.
I better to go feed the outside cats before it gets dark and see if the mail passed. It is passing later and later everyday.

Been out and about shopping with the kids and to see Santa at the mall. Can you believe there was only one family ahead of us???
Realized last night that tonight is the winter solstice. This means the days will start getting longer!! This means it will be easier to get to campsites before dark, which has been a problem for me lately. Yea!
Think I have all my shopping done and almost wrapped. More tomorrow....

Donna, please let Diva take her time with people and ask people to ignore her unless she comes to them. The worst thing to do with a dog afraid of people is to push her into them. As to big dogs, she may never like them. People can be worked with, but one of the hardest things for little dogs is everyone expecting them to want to be handled by the world. But if you are around people and they all ignore her, she'll start coming around as she'll discover they aren't so bad after all.

Barbie, something is screwy there. Check into that as anyone can get ACA. The only thing income does is determine how much you have to pay.

I read an article that said a lot of insurance companies have stopped selling ACA policies because they have lost so much money.
