More fun for Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

More fun for Friday!

Postby carolb » Fri Dec 11, 2015 5:05 am

Gmorning all :)

Oh, such a GREAT time with Donna, Margie & even Roger!!!! Roger was a dear--spent quite a bit of time in his "man cave," I think mostly so we could have our "girl time" :D Really enjoyed his company & contributions to the conversation whenever he emerged. Margie, so sooooooo glad to have met you & Roger, & thanks for posting pix on fb--I'm not a fb person, but Donna showed them to me....& of course, all the 4leggers amused us to no end! Poor Tigg's goose-honk cough has returned, so after calling my vet on Mon, he's back on antib's, but now it's 4 days later, & he's still coughing--may have to find a vet here in FL...

AND, such a great time that I didn't want it to end, so asked Donna if I could hang out with her for a while. A definite "YES" to that, so the fun continues!

Speaking of dog coughs--Andy? Not coughing, but not eating? Is that a side effect of any meds he's on? Hope he gets back to his normal self again soon:)

Thrift store & yard sale shopping today:) Y'all have a great one & be safe wherever you may be 8-)

Good Morning Carolb and all,

Carol, sounds like you are having so much fun in FL. You may not even want to leave and head west. More fun with Donna and thrift shopping to boot, how great is that. Hope Tigg gets over the cough. There is a lot of doggie flu going around, so y'all watch those pups.

Nothing exciting to report here. Same old. Weather is downright boring these days. Saw some sun on and off yesterday after a week of misty, foggy, damp weather and more clouds for today, showers again for tomorrow and on it goes. Winter is no where in sight. Just got done having a little snuggle session with Molly who loves to have me sit on the floor and watch TV, so she can snuggle up against me and sleep. Just now headed off to her bed for her morning siesta. She's gotten to where she loves to just be cuddled and snuggle up against me.

Not sure what's on the agenda for today. Have some log snowmen to finish and then will be done with those little projects. After that, will find something else to get into . Kind of want to get into basement and go through some tote boxes, box up some old pictures that are down there and just do some general cleaning. Have a bit of insulation work I want to do along the joists as well. Can always find something to get into, although this weather makes one want to be outside since no snow and nothing to do out there.

Beth, liked the pictures you took. You can see by the water marks on the bridge supports, where that river should be. Great testimony to how bad the drought is in CA. Hopefully El Nino will help out, but not to the point where it has been in TX and the PNW. Speaking the which of, hope any of our forum members in those areas are doing okay.

O'Sharon, hear you on the downsizing thoughts. Been saying the same here for way too long, but at moment am comfortable and not sure just where I want to move to. Have a house down the road here that would be perfect, but yard is tad smaller than I would really like. At moment it's off market anyway. But I have pared down stuff and will be doing some organizing in that direction, for the day when I make that decision. House is market ready, so I don't want to wait too long.

Okay, enough jabbering. Going to go do breakfast dishes. Have a nice day everyone :)

Good Morning from another sunny warm day in Southern Illinois, It was 65 yesterday and tomorrow supposed to be 70

Carolb glad you are having such a good time with everyone in Florida. Andy coughed one time yesterday and that was the first since he started these meds. Loss of appetite is one of the side effects but at his check up yesterday, he had only lost one pound and that could have been fluid as he had quite a build up around his heart. I hope you can find out what is causing Tigg's cough.

Kathy, did you see my accusation re your furry friends, could you please redirect them.

I should do any Christmas shopping I need to do in July, too many sales now, so far have only bought for myself. ACK I need to focus.

Time to start the day, I need to get a dog on the grooming table, my never ending chore. Why didn't I go for that Mexican Hairless breed....

Good morning, tgif and one more week to work. Have enjoyed the pictures of the gtg.
Carol and her crew make friends everywhere they go. Poor Tigger with a cough though, and looks like Piper almost as big as April now. Funny when I think of April , she would disappear and we would always find her in my bed.
Its a tad cloudy here right now but temps are not bad.
Y'all have a great day and be safe

Mid-afternoon here. There was some snow on the ground this morning. Probably would have seen more if I'd gotten up earlier. Work is slow so I'm not getting many hours right now. All's good. More time to hibernate. :-) The sun is trying to peek out now, the snow had long melted but it's still too dang cold lol Gotta get used to it because the next week will be more of the same.

Starting in January I'll be busier. They just placed in ad in Living Social with greatly discounted rates through that website for reservations made from purchases through that site for use Jan through Mar. They have desks on both RV sites and cabins. I'm guessing the cabins will get pretty busy again.

Ava, yay, winter break coming up.

Carolb, I hope you get to the bottom ofTigg's cough. No fun.

Good evening!

Too busy this morning to post so I'm doing so now.

Carolb, you make it sound so fun in FL that I'm tempted to join you all. My friend Terri just moved to the Tampa area so I know I have a free parking space for Angel. Also, regarding Tigg's cough; a new strain of kennel cough has been making the rounds up here. Since you do visit doggie parks, maybe that is what Tigg has picked up?

Ava, a well-deserved break from the busses. Hope you and Maggie get some time in the kayak.

BJ, I am NOT sending those little buggers your way  . I'm catching them as fast as I can up here. And pretty dang sick of doing so to boot!

Beth, sounds as if you are enjoying a bit of being "lazy". I know you like to keep busy but isn't it nice to have a light schedule once in a while?

Sue, your days sound about like mine: cloudy, grey and same ol' same ol'. The rut of routine has set in here. Biggest excitement of the day was taking my friend to her medical test appointment, which they then decided they couldn't do because she had an infection. So take these pills and come back in January! She wasn't pleased, to say the least!

Nothing worth watching on TV these days and I don't feel like playing dueling remotes with DH so I guess I'll go surf the net awhile. Sure hope I don't see anything I want to buy. I've bought a ton of stuff for Angel in the last couple weeks already! Spring better get here quick or I'll be broke before I know it. :o

everyone take care,
Kathy

Kathy, I'm finding mice too. Catnip mice that is, in the toilet. Frosty is the only one that plays with the mice and I guess he thinks they need a bath.

I didn't do much today except go to Walmart. I had to get the short pants back out. It's been in the 80's the last couple of days.

If anyone needs to replace a curtain that goes around the windshield inside a motorhome I got an email from Dryers RV Supply and they sell custom drapes. The email showed about 6 or 8 different kinds of the little plastic things that go in the track so they probably have just about anything made. I ordered some of the plastic things on my curtain and replaced the broken ones a couple of years ago but more have broken. My curtain is 13 years old and is showing it's age. I didn't look to see how much the curtains are because I would have to go measure the track. If I wasn't lazy I could probably make a new curtain.

The other day Harold showed me some drag marks in the barn. We can't figure out what made them. I tried to take a picture but they don't show up very well. For a while I though a cat was missing but she showed up. Last night I put a game camera in the barn. I have about 40 pictures of cats, a couple of skunks and a possum. We'll see what we get tonight.

Good evening. Still not feeling well mainly due to allergies but I did get a couple of errands done, hung a chandelier to replace one that sold this morning and finally made it to the park to check on Magic. She seems fine and the park staff has done a remarkable job trying to get all the mud off the flooded roads. They still have a lot of clean up to do, especially on the marina side, but at least you can get around in most of the park now.
Nicky just had his last outing for the night - think he is still searching for body parts of that misfortunate little bunny.
Hard to believe it is almost the middle of Dec and the temp near midnight is 65 degrees. Record high near 80 tomorrow but with two strong cold fronts heading this way the warm weather won't last much longer - highs in the 40s by end of coming week. I'm never really ready for the cold of winter. Do hope we have clear sky for Christmas as the moon will be full then.
