Black Friday or the Day After Thanksgiving

Good Morning everyone,

The big day is over. Have you all stuffed yourselves full of fun, eats and good company or if you were along, just eats? Not the day to get on the scale, that's for sure.

Had a nice day here. Molly and I went for a nice morning walk, despite a light mist in the air. Then I just puttered around in here half watching Macy's parade. Owners invited me up for some chat, football and snacks in the afternoon. By then the mist had turned to snow. Was nice sitting inside watching the snow fall and cover the ground. We got about 3.5 inches I would say by the time it quit last night. Then I fixed my dinner, some of which was cooked before I came up here. So all in all, a nice day.

Today is Black Friday of course and I am not getting into the madness of it although up in these parts, it's not the big crowds like it is in other areas. But I am going to head out to Tractor Supply later this morning as they do have a great buy on Sunflower seed and I need some. First will let it get daylight, take Molly out for a walk and let the county clear the main roads. Might see some sun today too.

Okay, Molly is bugging me for some play time, so am going to go pacify her. Everyone have a nice day ad let the diet begin

Good Morning,

What a wonderful place to spend some fall/winter time, Sue. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

I had a wonderful afternoon with Chris and Larry yesterday - and good food. Chris hasn't had a SS ride yet, but she wanted a photo. We didn't realize it had been misting so we had wet seats. :) I tried Photobucket again and got a small photo, when I resized it was fuzzy. :(

Gonna be wet here. I did manage to ride between drops yesterday tho it started misting pretty good when I got to the park. A few trees have pretty colors here.

Not sure what I'll do today - have several good books on my tablet!! :)

Have a good day everyone! Hope any of you shopping find the deals you were looking for!

I absolutely will not be going out today! Except to walk Casey around the block. We are having lite mist. Enough to wet the streets, but not call it rain.
Sue, it sounds beautiful up where you are. Anita, glad you are having a nice time with Red and her DH. As all my kids and grandkids are "out of town", I had a nice quiet Thanksgiving. I am thankful that I do not have to cook the large dinners anymore! Been there, done that. lyn

I have to go out to the mall today to get a haircut! I know, bad planning, but I wanted to go back to the guy who did such a good job cutting my hair last year.

I rode my bike around and took some saguaro cactus photos and posted them on my blog if anyone is interested. I think they have such "personalities."

I've got some weather stripping I am going to try to add to one storage area in hopes it will stop the water getting in. Then when I get a car wash on Sunday, I can test it out.

Happy shopping to those of you who still have some to do. :)

Had several things to be thankful for yesterday! Went to pick up my dad and discovered that the back road to his house, (which has been closed for a year with a long detour around it), was finally opened! Yay! Saves me 10 minutes now and no freeways to take anymore to get there!

We went to my brothers for dinner and had a nice time and a good meal. Dropped my dad off back home, and had seen an ad in the paper for JCPenneys that had great deals on clothes which I really need, so headed over there. Bought $450 worth of clothes for $150! Saved $300!! Wow! The best part was that everything I tried on was too big and I had to get a smaller size for each item! Yay! :D (Isn't that every woman's dream?) So it was a good day all around! :D

Was planned to get up early this morning to go to Target and Menards for more deals I wanted, but Sophie the kitten was sweetly sleeping on top of me all cute and cuddly and I didn't want to disturb her, so I went back to sleep. :D Just didn't actually feel up to going out and fighting mobs this morning. Wasn't anything big or important I wanted anyways.

So will just lay low today and get a few things done around here and relax.

Was so funny last night when I was going thru the store ads, I put the papers in a neat pile on the floor next to me. Sophie came running across the room and jumped on the pile, sliding across the floor on the papers and sending them flying everywhere! She kept doing that over and over! What fun to be a kitten!

Have a great day! :D

Barbi, years ago we had a cat that learned to slide on the slick store bags. You probable couldn't teach a cat to do that to save your life. They have to learn it on their own. Good job on the bargains. I didn't get the Thursday paper so not tempted to go shopping. I am only suppose to get Friday, Saturday and Sunday papers and special sale papers. My carrier seems to think it's OK to deliver them all on Sunday or not at all. I think it's ok to not give her a tip. Three papers are the least you can subscribe to and I got tired of trying to find a Sunday paper every Sunday.

Last night I must have had sciatica or a pinched nerve. My left hip would hurt so much it was all I could do to pick up my left foot to take a step. A little while later I would be ok and then later it would be back. Laying down didn't help so I finally took two Alieve and was able to go to sleep. It's gone this morning.

It's almost 80 this morning and very windy. It's so hazy it's hard to tell but I think it might be raining. It looks like Texas is getting it again.

We had a fairly quiet drive to UCD this morning and were home by 10:15, which was very nice. Not much traffic going or coming. Resting a bit, then off to Curves. No shopping for me today! We are mostly doinfpg Amazon this year again because we don't want Mel exposed to crowds. Had a nice ham Mel heated on pellet smoker yesterday, which was wonderful than you Costco for pumpkin pie.
Enjoy your day and weekend everyone.

Good evening everyone... some may be sleeping after a huge day yesterday!

What a great time I had at Danielle and Jakes home... there was enough food for three
times the number we had... my granddaughter in law made nice packages of turkey
and other goodies for people to take home... one of the fellas had a drone and the
guys were outside playing as only guys can!!

Today I did a first and I am to be 76 in a few days well Margie came over and we
went shopping!! Never have gone out on Black Friday! Margie got me a Christmas
tree for my BD... we had breakfast at Bob Evans then came home... she got all of
my things out of storage and we have quite a few things up tree all decorated too...
I am weary but smiling...

I hope everyone recovers from all of the food, fun and fellowship...
