Good Morning all

Frosty morning here at the 45th. Going to be a nice day though, and yesterday was great. Plenty of sun and warm enough to run around in just a sweatshirt. Finished up some chores I wanted to do before winter sets in. Got lawn tractor put away for season and gave my truck a good cleaning inside. Miss Molly and I took our daily walk. The day before I deviated from our usual walking route and took her back through a nature trail at our little township park and let her off leash. She probably thought she was in doggie heaven as she just ran and ran and ran back and forth up and down the trail, the whole length of it, about half a mile I would say. Such pure joy. Tongue hanging out, panting, eyes sparkling, etc. Fun, fun, fun. Today we are going to the vet's for a pedicure.

Sounds like everybody's doing okay out there. Those on the road are traveling along not running into anything too serious at the moment. JudyJB, bit scary about the sinkholes though. Carolb, glad you got your sense of direction back  I'm reading about the travels and thinking about next years possible trips already. Know there are a couple of possible GTG's along the way I am sure. Right now I am looking to probably head for PA. Want to see Gettysburg. Lancaster, Hershey and other points of interest. Not a city person, so won't go there. And I'm sure I will be doing some camping within Michigan too. Maybe even northern WI, who knows. Course if I join what seems to be a movement on here of people selling their sticks and bricks and moving to smaller places or even our of state, that might alter my plans a bit. I do have my eye on a house not far from me that I am tossing around buying and downsizing too. So who knows. And Barbie, I've been thinking of you every time I go by my hair dressers place too, as it looks like it's been kind of dead in there too. I need to get my hair cut later this week sometime.

Oh, and the other good news for today is that I now have lost 15 pounds. Onward and downward :D

Enough jabbering. Time to let somebody else in here. You all have a great day out there today.

Good morning to all. The first words out of Bill's mouth this morning was "It's going to snow today." What? He is just complaining that the high today here in Vegas is only going to be 50! That is pretty cool.
This week is a week of doctor appts. To our new doctor today for results of blood tests etc. Hope all is well and he will renew all our prescriptions so that will be done with. Then all we have to do is fight with the pharmacy to get 180 day supplies so when we head out to MX we have enough until we get back. Tomorrow I go to my surgeons office to see if there is any thing they can do to help with my peepee problem. The pills they gave me seem to be helping a little. At least I feel great. Yesterday we - yes Bill went with me - for 1 1/2 mile walk and no pain - first time in years. Friday Bill sees the cardiologist. Then we'll be done with all of that and can start getting ready to go.
We think we have our mail problem settled - our neighbor will pick it up for us. But we are still going to check out a mail box place this week.
Got to call our TV and Internet service to see if I can put them on vacation suspension.
Good race yesterday - but late - who would have though a race in AZ would be rain delayed and rain shortened. My favorite #18 has made it to the final race of the season. Hope he wins and is Champion.
I imagined a lot of you laughed when I said we went 1 1/2 miles - but it is only my 4th day of walking so gradually building up.
Hope all of you traveling have a great and safe day.

Good Morning,

Clouds have rolled in. :( Yesterday was so nice and I did take a ride to the grocery store. There is a HUGE Kroger store not far from here - I could have spent half the day in there just looking!

Sue, you mentioned not going to the city while in Pennsylvania. If you have any desire to see Philadelphia, I highly recommend this KOA http://koa.com/campgrounds/philadelphia/ Granted I haven't been there for 14 years, but they have a tour from the campground. When we were there, the guide was a high school history teacher. It was a small van and run by the campground.

All the cleaning and organizing I have been blabbering about needs to get started today!

Have a great day everyone and safe travels.

Morning gals
Cloudy and gloomy today, totally changed from yesterday's gorgeous weather.

Had our family here for fish fry yesterday, so much good food! Our son brought his 2 dogs along to run free in the yard and play with our dogs. They had a blast, just like your Molly, Sue. Tongues were definitely hanging out by the time they went home.

Took advantage of having several guys (and one gal) here to get the downed tree cut up and hauled to the wood pile. Don't know what to do about the clothes line, it's concreted in at the base so I don't know how we'll weld the top cross bar back on.

Shooter got a deep cut on his foot on Saturday and we had to make an unexpected trip to the vet's for stitches. Today they want to see him back to check and rebandage it. I think he's digging being an inside dog today. He sure doesn't act like it bothers him.

Everyone take care,
Kathy

Frost? What is frost?? Haven't seen any for a very long time and don't intend to see any soon!

OK, but there is a lot of wind today. Yesterday was cloudy with a few sprinkles, but the little quail (Sealed Quail) were out running around and cheeping like crazy. (I assume they are saying I'm over here, no over here, come join me!) I just adore those little birds, but they are SO hard to get pictures of. By the time you pull your camera out of your pocket, they have run off. I did get some for my blog, however. I looked them up, and these Sealed Quail are not as common as the Gambel's and California varieties. They have slightly different patterning on their chests and a white feather tuft on their heads instead of the longer topknot that the other quail have.

I was going to drive into the botanical garden and zoo here today, but think I might skip it because of the wind. I will be heading to Alamogordo tomorrow, but not supposed to be so windy then. Also, I'll be in Phoenix on November 24 for a few days if anyone wants to get together. Then I will be in the Las Vegas area first week of December.

Loving this life!

There were only 5 that showed up for our meet and greet. One of the ladies I knew from the Getawaygals and have camped with her several times. I will probably see her again in a few weeks at the Christmas campout. One of the ladies is heading out with her husband to see Colonial Williamsburg. I spent a few hours there many years ago. I had never heard of it until I went to a retirement party for one of the boat captains. The fishing company I worked for has a plant in Reedville, VA. I would like to see it again if I ever make it to the East Coast.

I spent Friday night at the state park North of Lake Charles. You can tell it was built before most of the RVs have slide outs. The sites are very close together. If my rig had been any longer my neighbors campfire would have been right beside me. As it was, I thought about backing up another couple of feet. They have plenty of land and could build something better but the state never has money for the parks. I decided to go up to the lake after the meeting. I didn't tell my sister I was going. I didn't bring the portable satellite dish and she would have been pretty bored. She has trouble getting around because of her knees and I end up being the maid when she is along. I forget that it's a 4 1/2 hour trip home and didn't leave early enough. I didn't get home until 7:00. I sure don't like to drive at night but I could see much better when I cleaned my windshield while I was getting gas. lol

Anita, if you like to tour grocery stores go to an HEB while you are in Texas. We don't have them in Louisiana and I have to go every time I go to Texas. It seems like stores in other states have things your home store doesn't. We toured Walmart several times when my Texas friends were here looking for Gumbo mix. Surely they have it in other parts of the country but our stores usually have a bunch of different brands.

It was pretty cool Friday night and I had to turn the heat on. Saturday night wasn't as bad and I got along with just a blanket. It has already warmed up to 76 this morning. It's very windy and we have some rain coming in from Texas. The weather people are talking about areas of severe storms. That is sure getting old for Texas and Louisiana.

The cats must have had one heck of a fight in the bathroom while I was gone. They pulled the curtains down. The curtains needed washing anyway.

Harold is in dirt heaven this morning. The parish is cleaning the ditches and some of the land owners must not have wanted the dirt along their land. They will give it to anyone so they don't have to haul it a long way. He will be playing with the dirt until the rain gets here.
