Gmorning all
(sorry if I messed anyone up, crikey, my original subject was "Tuesday"
Do you think I've lost a day with this cold? Ha, well, at least I felt well enough to move on down the road to the next rest area. 11/11, honor our Veterans
)
Trying to keep up with ya'll, sounds like things are good for the most part. I heard about the restr that ate the cars hahahah
Ok. so I jinxed myself by saying I felt better. Have been absolutely miserable the past couple days, even took a day off from driving. Catherine, I'm thinking of you--remember I was sick a couple days at your house last year? Could use some of your TLC--but you're not here, & you're giving all your TLC to your new little girl:)
Just wishing y'all a great day, & be safe always

Good Morning Carolb and Everyone, So sorry you aren't feeling up to par, Carol. Not having much fun so far on your trip are you? Just take care, get plenty of rest and plenty of fluids, hopefully it will leave soon.
We've got a couple of nights coming up this week end, that will be in low 20's most of night, wishing I could be out of here, but not yet. Sure hoping neighbor young man will get this shrubbery picked up that he has cut down and the thick layer of leaves raked up back in that area around all of the deck. Of course, I still have a list of things I wanted to get done before I left too, its getting smaller.
Not much news here to chat about, have tried not to be on computer that much, I can waste a day away here, if I allow myself too.
I hope you all are well and those on the roads, stay safe, weather hasn't been that super out there, that I've heard.
Need to get moving, its daylight
Take care all,
CArol

Good Morning from Marshall, Texas,
Carolb, I was worried about you and was hoping you just didn't have Internet service. Take care of yourself and be safe! No worry about getting the day wrong - I don't know what day it is most of the time lately.
CArol, hope you will be headed out soon! Kathy, wondering does the vet have something for the horse or is it just the walking that helps?
I had a very nice drive yesterday - saw blue sky and the sun for awhile - first in days! I did unintentionally drive by the iHop sink hole in Meridian. Suppose to rain here later, but it is to be nice Thursday and Friday!
Hope you all have a good day and safe travels to those on the road.

Good Morning All, finishing up my pizza for breakfast this morning. I will be home this afternoon. Then the work begins on getting ready for the next trip! Quartz site!
Had a good nights sleep behind the truck stop at/near the foot of the grapevine. Gads, I have to drive through LA to get home. Hate that, but unavoidable.
Clear, sunny skies for traveling.....lyn

Up and ate breakfast, so getting ready to head out and visit a couple of missions here in San Antonio. Might go back to riverwalk, but I have some laundry and want to clean out a couple of storage areas today while I have a nice clean patio next to my rig.
Had a great time with Colleen and Birdie yesterday. Check out the photo on the Get Together area.

Good morning all. Honor to all the Veterans. My U.S. flag is proudly out but no wind just yet - still looks pretty though on this beautiful clear sunny morning in CA.

Judy, there's a really neat mission right by the Riverwalk that still does church services in German.

Well, it ain't morning but here's my 2 cents worth,
Very productive day, got more done outside even got the gutter on the horse barn cleaned out in time for tonight's rain. Wanted to visit with my friend who's moving to FL but I managed to miss her by a few minutes as she had already left to go out for lunch. Left her a card and a cute little daisy plant. She can plant it in her new yard in FL!
Found the leak in Angel, it's waaay up at the city water connection. Don't ask me, I just report where it is. Bought some more pink and hope to get this nailed down before I send her into the barn for winter.
Anita, to answer your question, the vet gives the horse injections for pain and to make him dopey so she can do an exam (which I am NOT going to describe) and pass a nasogastric tube (through his nostril and into his stomach!) to pump him full of water, laxatives or electrolytes as needed. The walking helps to move food along the gut and hopefully helps to work it and any gas out of there.
That's all from here,
everyone take care.
Kathy

Way past morning here also.
Two days in a row with sunshine! Think that helped me get more done today.
One antique mall Open House under way, faucets at house covered, new lights on front porch, two yard drains cleared, and drained water lines in Magic. Had to move her to another site as I noticed a very big dead limb that part had already fallen right next to her. Manager said they would get it down and I can move back to my favored site whenever they get to removed. Storms with high winds forecast for overnight and neither of us thought it wise to leave Magic where she was. Being at campground longer than anticipated, I did not get the driveways blown. Maybe just as well as the wind tonight will drop a lot more leaves.
Dentist appointment tomorrow.
So glad to see photos being added for all the mini gtgs.

Ok, it's not even close to morning, but this is when I usually get to catch up a little.
Carolb, I thought about the same thing when you said you were getting a cold. I loved having you at the house - we got so much done & you'd be so proud how easily I can get rid of things now. I hope you can keep warm & just lay low until you're felling better & I hope that's soon.
Lyn, remember I'm in the LA area (actuallly out of the muck in La Habra) - not too far from most highways - actually I'm just off Imperial Highway. if you feel like taking a break, call me & i'll give you my address. I don't have the carseat base at the moment or I'd meet you somewhere. But I did make beef stew last night & it might make a good lunch,
Sounds like fall is cool/cold & wet in so many places - blowing driveways, winterizing & putting your homes on wheels away for the winter. Being in CA is a unique experience for me. Reports of snow (in the close-by mountains), beach weather, inland weather, LA weather - very interesting - I can see why folks live here. I love being in an apartment - the house is so much work & hearing you all talk about tending to yours confirms it. Not sure what I'll end up doing - living is cheaper in Kansas & the house is about paid for - but my 2 youngest are out here & I enjoy being so close to them - especially close to my precious grand baby. May go back in Jan for a quick visit - mostly to show my face in the office. Won't make any decisions for a while though.
Well, I need to straighen up this place & get a little more work-work done & then hit the sack.
Hope everyone stays safe & warm.
Take care,
Catherine
