Chilly Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good morning
Nippy here in nw TN this morning with a bitting wind.
I should go on home today but think I'll stop one more time. I need to dump tanks and that little passport park where I met Carol seems like a good place to take care of that chore, then on home Saturday.
Have a nice day.

82 here this morning, although that's supposed to be the high for the day. They tell me it's supposed to start cooling off and drying out in mid Oct. I don't mind warm but I'd definitely enjoy some dry!

Not much doing here today, just checking the online job boards and seeing if there's anything out there.

Morning all,
Not much here today. It's sunny but very windy and chilly. Same old, same old on the agenda for today.

Tomorrow going to breakfast then a tack sale with some friends. Sunday we are cooking for our hunting pals for lunch.

Wind took out my $5 bargain patio umbrella yesterday, darn it :x . Will have to keep my eyes open for a replacement, don't think this one can be saved.

Have a vet appointment for Buddy for shots this afternoon. Need to reschedule my horses' vet as I just took on another petsit on that day so it will be too much to do in one day.

Everyone take care,
Kathy

My grandson's cross country race was at Canning Creek in Council Grove, KS yesterday. That is where we had a gtg a year ago. Great place for spectators to move from point to point. We watched him go from back in the pack, to 12th and finish 5th!

Weather is really cooling down here!

Good job moving up (your grandson) Anita.

I'm laying in bed with Peaches stuck to me while the rain pours and the lightening lights and thunder roars. I have an appt for an oil change on the RV this morning. So hopefully this let's up very soon, or I'll miss it. I don't want to miss it, but don't want to drive in this either. I have to leave in an hour, so fingers crossed the worst passes soon.

About half or so of the inventory of the store is finished, plus did all my laundry yesterday. Hopefully I can finish the inventory tomorrow, relax Sunday and my hit the road day is Monday after meeting with my boss one final time.

Definitely a heater day here in Ohio! My electric heater ran all night, with an occasional boost from the back furnace.

Waiting to be picked up for my rental car. Then will pack up the goodie bags I made for my three grandkids and drive over to my son's house. Have been here two days but have been running errands and they were in school and their mom busy, so have not seen them yet. Dad was out of town on business. Tomorrow we are moving my bedroom furniture to his new bedroom in the newly finished basement. Will be nice to see it done. There will be a mini-kitchen, full bath, and large living area down there also.

Stay warm, everyone! (Except for those very few of you in Arizona and Florida, who are already warm!)

I'm at Ford's truck service in Rapid City. In other words, the really bad stuff stopped long enough for me to unhook, etc. Even stopped raining, but a minute into the drive the rain came back. Serendipity. Was mainly a light rain. Just sitting in the waiting room now.

Changing sites for the weekend to one on the lower level (not a Workamper site), with approval. Hope to take a specific pull through along the creek. Will make it easy to hook up the car, etc, between raindrops Sunday.

I woke up with a headache this morning. Yesterday I bought some Halloween candy and thought I could get away with eating some. Guess I still can't eat chocolate. Since I was up I decided to cook a roast for lunch. My younger son is suppose to come do some work for his dad so thought I would cook lunch for him. It's been cooking for over 2 hours and it's still pretty tough. It's a shoulder roast I bought because I couldn't find a chuck roast. The stores seldom have chuck roasts and if they do they are expensive.

The cool front came through last night and it got down to 57. It sure felt good when I went out this morning. No plans for today.

No, Mickie. Just finishing his large basement so he has a guest bedroom and extra bathroom plus place for kids to play. He had four bedrooms and three kids so no place for guests other than very uncomfortable couch. His dad and father in law also live out of town so need a place to stay while visiting. Also kids can move junk from spare the room to basement and play down there now that they are a little older.

I'm off the road for the day in central TN.
Cold (forecast says 20 degrees below normal thru the weekend), windy and now raining. Got lucky and was able to get set up in light rain and get Nicky to nearby tree before harder rain started. A lot of other RVers getting off the road once rain picked up. I had my choice of spots when I arrived but looks like the CG is almost full now. Hate to drag a lot of stuff out for just one night but think its time to get space heater going. Sure hope the rain stops soon. Want to clean out fridge, take garbage out and give Nicky a little walk.
Need to dump tanks in the morning. Sure don't want to do that in the rain.
