Gmorning all...

My apology for being so rude to be absent for so long without notice:( I was on "special.assignment" helping my bro through a very rough time. On top of that, my laptop is on the fritz--keeps shutting down on me. And y'all know how fun it is to type on a cell phone. Oh, car and RV repairs, to boot, as well as keeping up with the harvest which is just about finished. No canning this year tho:)...Anyway, thx to those of you who checked on me during my absence...

GTG! Such fun--they always are...

Sarah, good to see you back after your absence all summer:)

Y'all have a great day. :)

good morning ladies
woke up early so I got up early, felt rested. What a great surprise to see Carolb open morning coffee, :D
With the cool mornings now I can get some yard work done and save the inside stuff until the heat of the day
when I typically keep the door shut. Even the kitty is spending more time outside now, in fact she spent all
night out last night.
Will do routine stuff today, laundry, shopping, dishes, etc. Real exciting huh! But I do have plans for wednesday
when we have another day off from school. Will do another trip to the lake, meeting up with one of the gals
from my paddle group.
Looking forward to pictures from the gtg, ya'll have a great time!!

Headed back to the U.S. from Canada. I am still in NS, but one more night in New Brunswick will do it. I have been having my old symptoms of kidney problems--left flank pain and dark urine, so have been drinking water like crazy. The pain in mostly gone but occasionally the urine color is still not right, so I did not use the campground I had paid for ahead of time in Cheticamp along the Cabot Trail last night and drove 290 miles further so I could get closer to New Brunswick. I really would feel better to be in Bangor, ME, and the US if I have problems, although the particular Medicare C plan I have does cover International medical expenses to some degree.

Sitting and having some really good bakery blueberry loaf--Yum! Now to unhook and go. Have another 250 mile drive today and 160 tomorrow to get to Bangor where I will rest a day. Then on to Salisbury Beach state Park in Mass. This past one has certainly been my year for beaches, from driving down the coasts of Washington and Oregon last fall to Florida this winter, and now all of this New England and Maritime stuff.

Also, planning with my daughter-in-law a trip to Oregon and Washington for us all next July. They have a 20' trailer they will pull and I will follow in my RV. Kids will move between both, I think! And they will have a babysitter for evening they want to go out. My son tends to plan trips where they move fast from place to place with a full "if its Tuesday, this must be ??" kind of schedule, so the agreement was that this year his wife would do the planning!

Good Saturday morning all! We started out with some sunshine but it seems to have faded away. Oh well, it's the weekend, Mary is off work, and we get to pack for our Rosie the Roadtrek Retrieval Trip!!!

Hope everyone is having a fun weekend and our Indiana gals are enjoying their gtg.

Carolb, glad to see you back! Alice, sounds like you have the right idea to end a stressful day! Spent Thursday tearing down the carport DH built a few years ago. My RT fit under it but Lola is higher and wouldn't fit so it needed to come down. Managed to get my son here to help so it went fairly quickly. Now I just have to get rid of the debris! I got a hitch put on the Subaru and bought a small trailer so just have to finish up some cleaning up and I can haul it all to the transfer station. Going straight isn't the problem, backing up will be my problem! Plus I need to get some tie downs to use when I have a load on it. A new learning curve!! But all and all it's been a good week, garage cleaned out and carport gone. Yesterday was a do nothing day, I ran out of steam! But loving checking off chores from the to do list! DS brought his 2 Goldens with him the other day for a play date with my guys, it was a real zoo with 4 big guys running around and his boys figured out the doggie door so it was in and out with them! Comical! They just need to learn that 2 of them can't use it at the same time!

Liz and Tina, loving the Ireland travelogue! What a wonderful trip you had. Looking forward to hearing about the GTG. Hope you all have good weather! Well, coffee is done so I need to get going on my day. Hope you are having a good trip, Donna. Stay safe and have a good day, everyone.

Good morning, everyone!

Glad to see Carolb starting things up this morning. Of course, I've been a little absent myself lately... :(

Been trying to catch up on everyone's comings & goings. This sure is a busy group! JudyB, hope you don't have any kidney problems (period) but if you do, hope you're back in the states. Donna, glad to see your headed south - slowly but surely - I can't wait to catch up on your blogs - I always love to read them. And Ava, hope you get your outside work done before it heats up. OtherSharon, tearing down a carport & then hauling it off makes me tired just thinking about it. ;)

Starting to get settled in my apartment in LA. I could really get used to this - no maintenance, no grass cutting, no gutter cleaning, no tree trimming... cleaning & yard crew come around daily & spiff things up. Sadie & I just have to enjoy it. I'm a 10 minute walk to nearly every store & restaurant imaginable - most important is Sprouts! (don't even have to cross any streets to get to it). :D

Baby duty is pretty easy - she sleeps most of the morning & when she's awake she's a delight - cooing & interacting with me & her surroundings. Of course, I'd better have her milk warm when she's hungry though 'cause she's pretty sure she's going to starve to death if it isn't immediately available.

I've worked a shortened schedule this week with work. I'm trying to be online during their work hours which allows me to get a couple of hours in before Little Miss Olivia arrives. I'll have to make up some time on weekends or evenings - but that will depend on how Olivia's day goes.

Well, I'd better get moving...
Looking forward to seeing GTG pics.
Take care,
Catherine
