Already 10:30 and no MC yet? Everyone must be busy! I haven't started MC for ages!
Nothing much new here. Been getting my Jeep all cleaned up to hopefully trade it in tomorrow for a 2004 Grand Cherokee I looked at over the weekend.
Weather is finally cooled off and not nearly so humid, which is great since I can finally open my windows at night and listen to the crickets and get some fresh air, without hearing all that traffic noise! Very peaceful on this side of the building!
Have a great day!

Whew!! Been locked out of the forum since Sunday, I changed my email address and had to wait for an admin to let me back in... I've been having withdrawls!!!
Barbie - We had an '05 GC for years, and my mom had the '04, great cars. Just watch your brakes, those Jeeps are known for soft rotors, if get the thumpy pulse when you brake, just get them turned and they're good as new.

Good Morning Everyone, almost noon here. I've had company all week, a friend from Az. So I have not been on and have loads to read up on. First on my agenda is getting RV ready for trip to GTG. I'm surprised no one here this morning, everybody have a rough holiday and now kind of tired ??
Nice having you open morning coffee, Barbie, hope the jeep deal goes through as you hope. Have you moved into your new apartment yet?
I know some are not well on here, sure hope you're feeling better soon and those on the road, stay safe, and if you happen to be dealing with disagreeable weather, well hang in there, it all changes really quick.
Take care all,
CArol
Good morning, Queen, you snuck in on me

Yes, I moved into my studio a couple weeks ago. Still have a lot of unpacking to do but it is nice and comfy cozy in here. Much better view (back court yard garden and lake) and much quieter! It is about the size of a class A RV so I could move into one of those some day with no problem!

Trying again. Got a bit of energy yesterday, so I went out to see the Green Gables museum. Lucy Maud Montgomery did not live there, but often visited her cousins who did, and she chose the house on which to base her Anne of Green Gables books. If you have never read these books, you absolutely MUST read at least the first one. It will cheer you up and give you a positive attitude. It is really not a children's book--even Mark Twain said he loved it! I downloaded the first book and several others to read at night on my Kindle.
I also went for a drive along the coast--really beautiful here! Yesterday was sunny and breezy, so perfect day to do that.
Then when I got back, I paid a $5 fee and washed my motorhome in my camping spot, which they let you do. It was really dirty, and I was happy to get it clean, but the result of all that reaching with my long brush caused my shoulders and neck to really be achy, so I had a lousy night's sleep. It rained in the night, and today is cool and cloudy, so I am staying at home catching up on things. Semester is almost over and I have almost everything graded, which means I have a little break before starting work on next semester. I do still need to record final exam grades once students complete them and record grades, but that is easy. I need to make some tweaks to assignments for next semester so students cannot submit "old" papers.

Sorry, Mickie - but glad we have you back.
Judy, when I do things like that I always think, "Oh, I'll sleep well tonight" but the reality is, while one part of me needs the sleep, like you, those are not the best sleeping nights!
I'm at work - slow, slow slow now ... this weekend was pretty much the last hurrah of the season here. But the weather is fabulous. Needed my heater to take the chill off the air this morning, but that's ok ... was great sleeping and is a beautiful day.

Checking back in after a long absence this summer - life has just been throwing way too many challenges my way over past few months.
Hopefully my luck has taken a turn for the better now and I hope to dust Magic off a bit and attend the IN gtgs. Rockville is at least looking good but I have not had any luck getting thru to the campground at Shipshawana to see if I can get a spot. Will keep trying. In the meantime I'm getting several appointments for next week rearranged so I can get out of town for a while.
I'll never get caught up here so Happy Birthday to those I missed and Welcome to all the new members.

Morning all, well actually afternoon by 20 min. HOT HOT HOT here with over 100 for next few days including 107 on Friday and Saturday and humidity only 15%. Hope we don't get new fires. Thankfully this is likely the annual last hurrah of heat and will move into cooler fall temps within a week. I sure don't want 100 when camped at the hospital as it was two years ago.
Son started coughing a few days ago and then hubby started and I've got it a little, so guess we will stay in and fight whatever bug is visiting. Does not help that air quality is climbing into unhealthy for few days. Beginning to sort and organize what I will need in LT van for Mel's hospital stay.
Thinking about your new apartment Barbara, is that a 28 ft Allegro Breeze class A or a 45 ft Revolution class A? Apartment??? ha Ha. So glad you got that new quieter place. And hope you get the car/jeep you want.
Judy were those books a free download and if so where. It bugs me they charge so much for many decades old books. And that often happens. I think I might like to read at least the first one as I don't recall ever reading it.
Have a good rest of your day all.
Velda

Raining here all day, but a welcome relief from the 90+ days we've been having. I just don't like to have the AC on for so long a stretch...feel too closed in. Tomorrow we can open the windows, and I can get back up in the attic to sew. I do have a little AC unit up there, but in this old house it just can't keep up when it's so hot. And 90s is nothing to those of you out west in the 100s every day, I know.
I'm working on a camping list, too, since it's been years since we camped in a tent, and I want to be ready for Shipeshewana. Noticed they only allow campfires in their designated group spots: anyone know if they permit those self-contained portable campfires at the sites?
Sure am enjoying the travelogues from Canadian Maritimes and Ireland...but wanderlust is getting to me. In Star Trek-ese: "the Force is strong with this one."

I don't think I needed to rest today because I didn't do anything yesterday and most of today.
I did get caught up with the washing and got gathered up and went to the post office and grocery store. Last night I was watching a show about the food in New Orleans. I bought some Bananas Foster Ice cream. It is ok but I hope the real thing is better.
I watched the Anne of Green Gables series on PBS years ago. It was one of my favorites. I haven't read a book in years. I use to read all the time but it puts me right out now. I can barely get through a magazine.
Sarah, I hope you can get a reservation and get out of town. It's time for some R&R for you.

How wonderful! Hope you can get to at least one of them. Sounds like you need a getaway.
