Labor Day 2015

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Labor Day 2015

Mornin' ladies ~~~hope everyone has some fun this Labor Day. Catherine is probably in heaven right now, glad she made it to CA in one piece.

Just checking again for routes to the gtg and double-checked that I don't have to haul water. I did cancel the casino campground. Still deciding of food too.

Got the trimming done in the back yard & south side of the house yesterday. Today is the front, and maybe the north side, once I decide if the day lilies are caput for the season. I know there is a baby bunny hanging around there, so will have to make sure he's out of the way. I hate the damage they do to landscaping, but can't bring myself to hurt them. At least Zorro gets some exercise chasing them.

Well, need to get going before any rain comes. Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads.

I am feeling back to normal here in Prince Edward Island. It was a horrible painful drive to get here yesterday, but somehow the pain went away yesterday evening so I passed the kidney stone, I suspect. Got a few things to grade today, and I will be done. Finals opened today but those are multiple choice and graded by the computer. Students get a number of random questions, several from each chapter assigned, that come from a large database so that there is some overlap, but each student gets a unique exam. It is considered "open book" but not much time to look things up. As I tell one of my friends who teaches at another college and is worried about cheating, "If they are cheating, they sure aren't doing a very good job of it!"

I found out they let you wash your RV here, so I might even tackle that later today. I've been busy this morning watching weekenders leave so it will be a lot quieter the rest of the week. Actually, I am in the far end of the campground, and it was not bad anyway.

Hope everyone has a good day--a restful one for those of you having to go to work tomorrow.

good morning ladies
thought I was going to be able to sit back and relax today but its not to be. My pressure regulator has sprung a leak.
There's a real nice spray out in the yard, including on my window so guess I'll need to make a trip to walmart. Time for a new filter as well so might as well do both. I knew it needed replaced as its had a fine mist for awhile now but yesterday its
truly a heavy spray. Hope they will have the brass pressure regulators this time, the plastic didn't last very long.
Other than that little chore, just laundry and dishes.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Happy Labor Day gals!

Was off to my usual (horses/donks) and had to refill and clean out water tanks today. They drank them way down and I won't leave them when they are that empty. One of the kittens there is winning me over, the only one who will come up and let me pet him. Yesterday I had to pick him up and put him out of harm's way when I brought the horses in. He's about 5 wks. old and of course, he's black & white. Follows me all around the barn. I'm thinking, there's a new barn cat in my future! lol

Having bbq ribs for lunchtime, and MIL is coming up. I don't know why but none of her other kids ever seem to invite her for holidays (except Easter and Christmas) so she always comes over to our house. I don't mind, I'm blessed to have such a nice MIL. We usually invite my friend Daun too, as she's become like a mother to me over the past few years and she and my MIL get along great. But today Daun is going out with some friends to celebrate one's birthday so she can't make it.

DH gave me a good scare this a.m. I got up and went to get dressed and he was still home. It's hunting season and they have been out early every morning since Saturday. I actually asked him if he was sick! That was when he informed me that they weren't planning on hunting today. So now he's out cutting the grass, only some of which needs doing. A lot is already dead and brown.

I bought myself a 20 ft. extension ladder this week and used it yesterday to wash the siding on the north end of the house. It's something I've been wanting to get done for the past few years but never had a tall enough ladder to do it. For a lady who is afraid of heights, I think I did a very good job. And I never even fell off once! At least DH was home to call 911 for me!

Well, should get busy cleaning up this house before MIL comes over. There's enough dog hair floating around to make another dog!

Everyone take care and enjoy your day,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.
