Just checking in and what? No Sunday posts yet? We are damp but happy. Currently waiting for our tour of Dublin Castle. We meet up with our tour group tomorrow morning. Hope everyone is having a wonder ours day back over on the other side of the pond.

weatherman talking about a little monsoon action today, that would be nice, unless its damaging, then that would be sad.
I was up way too early this morning so definitely a day for a nap. Didn't do anything special yesterday, just a little routine cleaning and went to the store. Thinking I just might have a little issue with my ac on the car, when I turned on the switch for the fan part, I got nothing! Played with it a few times, pushing it harder and it finally kicked on. Now I'm really nervous about that issue, sure can't afford a repair right now, I'm still playing catch up on my budget and hoping to get tires next month.
Nothing else going on in my part of the world. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning all...what a beautiful weekend...with just a hint of fall in the air...yesterday Nan and I went to Columbiana Ohio...and visited the Shaker Woods Festival...this is the 33rd year for the festival...and it has been at least 20 years since I have been there...I use to go all the time when I was in the "business" ...over 200 vendors dressed in period clothing demonstrating and selling their hand made wares...I must say this is a top notch show and 95 % hand made some people tried to sprinkle in some commercial items but I did spot them as I knew the whole sale business also...we were there about 4 hrs before we pooped out ...and we did not see all of it...Needless to say I was impressed how it has grown...and for the better...if I had won the lottery there was a water feature for your patio or yard that I would have got for Margie...you will see it on my blog in the next few days...I am doing a blog post this am ...but not with that pic in it...it will be next...ok got to go have a fun day & B safe...donnna

Aaah but tis just a soft rain. You keep moving it will not get you too damp. A wee streach of the leg to the castle and your day will be over before you know it.

Ireland sounds so pretty, my grandma came from Cork and I'm told we have lots of relatives there.

Beach day here, getting ready to make sandwiches, grab some drinks, lotion up, and head over, I just love living right by the beach!!

Donna, your day at that festival sounded and looked very interesting. I'll have to hunt and see if you posted anymore pictures.

I'm washing curtains and windows, so its very exciting here, especially when thinking of how long ago these curtains were washed and crossing fingers they come through the ordeal of getting clean in one piece, a hold your breathe type excitement

Again I'm late to the party!

Buddy and I got home around 10:30 this morning and after unloading Angel and letting the other pups out and feeding horses and cleaning stalls I am POOPED now! We did have a very nice weekend tho' and the Big Dog is getting to be quite a good traveller. He no longer whines the entire ride, instead he lays down and is nice and quiet. I am thinking, tho' that I probably should put him in his kennel for the trip just in case for safety's sake. So on the ride home I was trying to imagine where I will put his kennel and what I will do with it once we get someplace. Think I have it figured out. We did enjoy some very long walks (Stuart would have been very pleased to accompany us, Tina, I think!) that wore the Big Guy out so we came home to Angel and took a nice nap! Had our campfire on Saturday night; just enough wood to last until the skeeters started to bite. Then this morning it started to rain, so we rolled out and headed home. Where we camped is kind of a low spot and gets muddy fast. Didn't want to have to have them come pull Angel out with the tractor! I was undecided about taking Buddy with me but now I am very glad that I did. Having him along made my trip so much better.

Kathy, I think of the dogs as part of my total health care plan. Stuart probably thinks that he is in charge of all the activities at "dog camp" this week but he does love his walks.

I'm pooped too. Harold's friend just left and I was cooking all morning. I had the big pot and the little pot and all the pots out. lol I never know what my grandson will eat so I fix a lot of dishes. We had a deboned stuffed chicken, a turkey roast with cajun seasoning, cornbread dressing, creamed potatoes, yellow squash casserole, green peas, red lobster biscuits and gravy. I never had bought one of the cajun turkey roasts and was wondering what it was like. It is just very seasoned and a little salty. Jeremy is going home on Tuesday and we are going back to simple cooking.

The festival sounds like fun. Most of the festivals here sell the same kinds of things. It's fun to go to one in a different state and see what they sell. I am to the point that about all I buy is something to eat. I have enough stuff.

Ava, hope your air conditioner doesn't give out on you. With the heat you have it would be hard. My step daughter won't use the air conditioner in her car and she lives in New Orleans. I refuse to ride with her. She says it might break if she uses it. Well, I am going to take that chance and if it breaks I'll get it fixed. The air conditioner is usually what determines when we sell a car. I won't spend $1,500 to $2,000 on a 10 year old vehicle just to put a new air conditioner.

It looks like my big Maine Coon cat's bottom lip is swollen and she doesn't want me to touch it. Guess we will be going to the vet tomorrow. I almost need a kennel with wheels to haul her around. The last time they weighed her she was 17 lbs. It wouldn't hurt her to lose some weight or me either.
