Good morning everyone...are we every happy with our weather like me...to hot & muggy in Florida...to rainy and soggy in PA...what a mess it is here...real estate man came by yesterday said he has never seen the market so bad here...with so many houses for sale..he did tell me that the house has been shown I guess it was not recorded on the paper I found in the kitchen ...I ask about reducing price but he thinks not...so will not do that at this time...need to make WM run today, pay my taxes, take recycle to the boro center...then I think might just fire up the sewing machine and see what comes out..have a fun filled day & B safe...donna & maggie

Good Morning !!! Hot here, but wets coming, and I am leaving today, probably driving right into it  Oh well !!! Just wanted to wish everyone a good morning, in spite of weather or whatever, we all woke up this morning I hope. :D

Donna, I'm sorry along with the lousy weather you seem to always be finding, that you also find so many houses for sale right around yours. Its got to get better soon, all of it, just hang in there. Glad you have your crafts to occupy you inside, out of that lousy weather. You will show us what comes out of the machine won't you?? :o

Having my morning coffee, but need to get moving around here, going to be really warm early. Did the dump and filled water etc all yesterday evening, so not much to get ready to hit the road. Filled water as it seems most of Tn state parks have elec. but no water at sites, or that's the way I read it, so carrying more water then usual today.

Sorry, have no breakfast offerings, I don't feel hungry, the heat you know, so I think a banana will be it, have two will share !! :D

Have a good day, and stay safe ,

CArol :)

Mornin' Donna, CArol & all that follow~~~
Lots of fireworkds in my 'hood last nite - the Chicago Blackhawks won their 3rd Stanley Cup in 6 years. So nice when hometown teams win a championship (are the Cubs ever going to win? :? ) Too much rain everywhere I think. Flooding and lots of new ponds where there shouldn't be. Seeing some ducks in the oddest of places lately. :P

Fiscal year end is the usual madhouse around here at work. July 1st and 5th are the craziest for me. Then one more busy day on first Monday in August. Hopefully then I can get someplace camping again, even if it's to a SP off I-80 (close enough to get to on a Friday after work).

Had some backing up practice last Sunday. Funny how the 2 semi-drivers that helped when I first picked up Colt, both forgot to tell me one tiny detail (found out my problem by Googling). Not jack-knifing Colt anymore - woohoo! Still need more practice tho.

How fun to see everyone's adventures. Liz & Nan on ferry ride & up to Canada, Alice whale watching, JudyJB visiting family and others that I've missed by trying to catch up with the comings & goings. Would be nice to meet Anita since she'd be so close, but might depend on timing and where she is going to start heading into Wisconsin from.

Best get crackin' here. Have a good day ladies & if you're on the road, stay safe.

I hope it's Tuesday, because our ferry reservation is for tonight, and I'd hate to think we'd missed it. Cold and rainy yesterday, supposed to be about the same today, but nice tomorrow when we land in Nova Scotia. Sorry to see there's more rain forecasted for TX and the Gulf Coast. Stay safe out there.

Good Morning all,

I'm with you LIz, it had better be Tuesday as I'm supposed to pull out of here on Wed. Beautiful sunny morning here in Victor, ID. Had a couple of nasty looking storms come by here last night. But just caught the edge of both. Very dark sky over toward the Teton range and could hear storm over that way. We did have some wind and a little rain, but not enough to bother with. Had hail while I was gone though.

Plans for today are to go back into Grand Teton NP and then head back here later in day. Want to go to dinner at a place here in Victor that has Buttermilk Fried Chicken on the menu. Sounds so good. Will find out if it is. Did get to Jenny Lake yesterday and took a cruise out on the lake. Got some good pics. Molly is sleeping, not moving to swiftly this morning. Want to wash my hair before we head out. Going to be a really nice day.

Sorry to hear so many of you are in heat, humidity and rain. Hope I can avoid it when I start heading east tomorrow. Plans call for route through eastern WY into NE and then up into SD, across MN and into WI. Anita, when are you going ot be in WI? I know my route there but not sure just when I will be there. Figure maybe around 24th/25th. Depends on stops on th way along my route home.

So much going on here and have missed a couple of days, so won't comment on anymore Just hope those on the road or getting ready to get on the road have a good trip. Those in rain etc. get some relief. But whatever, you all have a nice day.

Yep, it best still be Tuesday or I need a 48 hour Wed!

I'm happy for the Blackhawks, but even happier for my nephew who is, imo, their biggest fan. He knows most of the players (probably all, lol) and with their win last night he and his wife were given passes onto the ice and an invite to their party. He even got to hold the Stanley Cup Trophy. They didn't get home until after the sun was up, and he's still babbling and so happy. He posted on FB that there are only two occasions better in his life, meeting his wife and the birth of his son. Before last night, he didn't think their winning yesterday could top how he felt when they won in 2010, but this did!

Find for me to walk Peaches and head into work.

Safe and fun travels fir those if you on the road. Same fun to those of you not.

Good Morning Everyone, just like a lot of you it is hot and sticky here in South Fla. and no rain in site. Well after over a month of helping my sister redo both her home and condo then moving her from home to condo my hubby and I are running away this weekend. There is a County Park just down the road call John Prince Park, it has a nice campground (never stayed there so not to sure) Told him we are going to get off work Friday night, pick up camper from storage and not tell ANYONE were we are going. We are both so tired and worn out, I cant wait to get away and not have to paint, lay wood floors, hang shelfs, ect....
For all those on the road around Texas please take care, they have Tropical Storm Bill coming on shore today.
Well have a safe wonderful day everyone, and for all those on the road please drive safe :D

Morning all,
Yep, had to join in the mania and watch a hockey game last night. Fun to watch them win! Boy, I thought football was a tough sport but hockey players never stand still it seems! What athletes.

Need to go pick up bedding for horses this morning. Just enough to get me through til the yard dries up and I can get my trailer out to go get a whole bunch. I'm afraid moving the trailer will just get my truck stuck in the yard.

At least the sun's out right now!

Good Morning All...on Tuesday!!! Donna, it is difficult enough to keep track of the day of the week without MC confusion being added!!!

Sorry for all the people getting rained on, and on, and on....

I'm getting excited about leaving on my trip! I was also happy for the Blackhawks last night altho I did not watch the game. The US women play a soccer game tonight. I'll watch that. As I do not have a TV in the cosy camper, I will have to find a sports bar while on the road to watch the other games.

I also do not have AC in the camper...I have bought a "thing" that is not AC, but is supposed to lower the temperture in the camper. Bought it from Groupon for $100 off the asking price.
Reports will follow on how it works and how I like it.

I'm shaky but victorious this morning!

We had the big meeting yesterday and distributed the rest of the assets from my mother's trust. It is done, done, DONE!

I'm shaky not only from exhaustion but also because my brother put his lawyer (who has known our family for decades) up to a reconciliation attempt -- "You can be friends again." Makes me nauseous just to remember the moment. Why would I be friends with a dishonest bully just because of an unfortunate accident of birth? For that matter, why would he want to be friends? Does he need someone in his life to kick around? NO THANKS!!!

By this afternoon, when I get over the shakes, I'm going to feel very happy. Then I'm going to start working on Kit and planning trips. :D

Good Morning,

Well, my plans were changed, but not by me. I had to leave my lakeside site yesterday due to flooding! Downstream wants no more water so they are not lowering the lake level. They think the park will be entirely closed by Thursday. That is the COE park so I moved down to the more expensive State Park. For some reason, I can only stay here until Saturday. I could have taken another site at COE but they are all blindside backs and I can't back this trailer for beans to begin with!

Not suppose to rain today so I am going 30 miles or so to historical museum where I will go through some old newspapers. Will stop to visit my aunt and uncle on the way back. I got brave and rode into WalMart for a few groceries last evening.

Sue, Wisconsin will be July or August - just don't know yet. Liz, will certainly be watching your trip so I can decide if that's what I want to do next summer! LeRoy has been planning, but he doesn't know I am dragging my feet. Lyn, I know you are going to have another great trip! Cheryl, I had intended to practice backing - gonna check out Google! Kathy, thanks for the offer of a place to park - will let you know when I get dates figured out!

Everyone stay safe whether on the road or all of us in the wetlands!

Louise, you snuck in! Glad that is all behind you now!!

It's still very windy today but the rain bands from the tropical storm have moved to the West of us. Our yard is a soggy mess. I need to find my rubber shoes and quit getting my shoes soaked every time I go outside. Any one headed West better try to get past Dallas before tonight or they are going to run into a lot of rain. I'm afraid Louisiana is going to get more flooding from the Red River.

One of our barn cats had been missing for over a week and she showed up yesterday afternoon. She looks like she lost a few pounds. I was afraid she was gone for good. There was half a dead rat in the barn hall. Yuck! The barn cats are on the job.

They fixed our phone yesterday without causing me grief. I have reported a problem before and they wanted me to go outside and open the box and check it. HELLO, I don't work for the phone company. It was a burnt out circuit board down the road somewhere.

No plans for today other than clean my office. That's an ongoing plan that doesn't happen very often.

Anita - Google mostly returned results for videos on YouTube. Most of them are just videos of people when they bring a trailer home. The best one (in general) is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSyylWzrOX0 done by a dealer.

My problem is/was I had no clue what to do with the truck (i.e. direction of the tires, way to steer). It was always "turn the opposite of the way you want the trailer to go". So this is the actual mechanics of backing (new to me at least).
http://www.artofmanliness.com/2012/02/06/how-to-back-up-a-trailer-like-a-man/
The pics are actually blind side steps too. Step #2 is what my 2 guys and anyone else I've talked to have forgotten to mention (probably because it's 2nd nature to them - but hey - newbies gotta know this!)

OK - call me dumb all you want (yea I didn't catch the wrong day either  )- but at least I'm trying! :P

Also glad it is really Tuesday since it is my day off after 8 days in a row of working after my camping trip! Slept in til almost noon today!

Louise, so glad that whole fiasco is finally over for you, and you can move on now and not look back!
Martha, glad you got your kitty back! Such a worry when our pets go missing!
Cheryl, what was the "tiny" thing you discovered about backing up? What did you google? (never mind, just saw your new post...)
Sue, any idea when you will be coming back thru MN?

Sunny and warm here today! Need to get outside and clean the bugs out of my kayak and go for a paddle today! Rain coming tonight again, but at least we haven't gotten the deluge that everyone else has been having lately. Too bad no one can figure out how to get all that flooding rain over to California!

Found out the title for the camper hasn't even been processed yet and won't be for at least several more weeks or more depending on MN's govt shutdown. Do any of you know if there is a way I could sell the camper without actually having the new title in hand? If I wait that long to get it, it will be after the 4th of July and nothing sells well after that, when it comes to summer "toys".

Have a fun, safe TUESDAY!!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
