Good morning Donna and Sue
Sue, fun to hear about your trip. I am eagerly awaiting the pictures of your adventures.
Donna, sounds like you are excited to start some projects. I need to dig in and get some done too.
DH's blood pressure has been near perfect (low 120's over low 80's) ever since Sunday. We can't figure out what caused the spike in his pressure on Sunday. He never misses his medication so I know it wasn't that. He'd been out fishing with our son and was just relaxing at home, nothing strenuous. We are continuing to monitor it daily and we have to go back to see the Dr. in about a month.
Darn dog tripped me at the vet's and boy did I hit the floor with a big thud! That pup and I just can't seem to get along. I had fallen over my own dog a few days before at home and landed on my right knee, yesterday I landed on my left so now I have a matched pair of bruised knees! When we got home I was determined that pup should walk correctly on a leash-no more pulling. I've never really worked with him on leash training, he's DH's dog but yesterday I got out my correction collar that I used for Buddy. The minute I put it on Shooter it was like a switch was flipped. He walked quietly and almost perfectly on the leash. I was amazed! I've taken many classes with Buddy so I know how to use the collar correctly; I never even had to pull on the leash! And the darn thing had been in my car when I took Shooter to the vet's, I could have used it on him from the start! Boy am I dumb!
Looks like we are in for some hot humid weather here in IL today. Dogs are still inside which is a good thing. I sure don't want them out in the heat even though their kennel has a roof for shade. I thought if it got really warm inside, we could go out in Angel and turn on the a/c.
Making a call to wildlife trapper this morning. Skunky is still hanging around and I'm getting pretty tired of the smell.
Have a good one,
Kathy
