Good Morning, looks like 3 of us jumped in pretty close together yesterday.

Donna, you sound excited as time gets closer. Some last minute things and off you go. CArol is slowly making progress and hopefully hitvthevroad eventually. I'm getting down to last minute things here and now a friend gave me an idea for a folding shelf at end of my sink counter, so will run to town and get the necessary stuff and get that done. Then will give trailer and truck a bath. Want to put clothes in as well, so will be busy day.

Have been wondering about Cheryl and how her trip went. BJ, glad you are enjoying your new wheels. See they felt an earthquake in Vegas yesterday. Jane is on the road too, safe travels.

Time to get moving here, so wishing you all a great holiday weekend, be safe :)

Good morning gals,
Early morning for me today and for the next 2 to follow. DH made lovely biscuits and gravy with sausages, I ate my share and even the dogs got a bit of sausage for a treat.

I am supposed to go camping with horse friends next weekend but am not bringing a horse. I am just not ready to ride and don't feel up to dealing with either of my horses' issues at this time. There is also a contagious equine disease going around the state right now and no way of telling if an infected horse has been in my campsite recently. Since I already have the site reserved, I'll go anyway and enjoy some quiet time while others are out riding and visit when they get back. It will be AG's maiden voyage since I wasn't able to get out last weekend.

Everyone have a great weekend and stay safe,
Kathy

Morning. I’ve been AWOL for a while. First the good news is that we’re finally getting some moisture. In fact it’s raining out right now. Normal Memorial Day weekend! Guess that’s why I’m not too disappointed that we never make camping reservations for this weekend, mainly because 90 days in advance we’re never sure if the spring planting will be finished.

I’ve been fighting some respiratory problems since around Thanksgiving. Symptoms would go away then start up again. Had been doctoring with our local clinic and finally the doctor said that he wanted me to go to a pulmonary specialist. So Monday I spent the day taking tests for the specialist. No solid answers. It’s not cancer. I have asthmatic symptoms. Of course I smoked, too. The strange thing is that I can feel fine in the morning and it gets worse as the day goes on. By the time I have to walk to the gates after work I can hardly breathe. That leads me to believe it’s the chemicals from the shop, mainly formaldehyde on the fabric. But strange that it’s taken over 16 years for it to cause a problem. Any who I am on different inhalers since Monday and they seem to be working. Still have to use the nebulizer twice a day. I go back on June 1st for another check-up. A sleep apnea test may be in my future.

Going to be a quiet weekend. I’m going to Mitchell today to pick-up flowers at Missy’s greenhouse. Those of you have been around the forum for years know that I’m usually up helping her every weekend during the busy season. This years I just haven’t felt up to it because of the respiratory crap. So I need to go get my flowers today before she’s sold out. Going to feel strange paying for them….every other year I’ve worked for flowers and beer!

Well, I’d better get my hinder in gear. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend. I’ll be following those of you traveling.

Good morning! Have a little time before heading off to work this morning. It has been crazy busy the past few days and my feet, knees and back are really feeling it!

Posted about my new popup camper! Am anxious to get it and start getting it fixed up and ready for my trip in less than 2 weeks! Lots to do before then, and not a lot of spare time!

I found out that when the police and ambulence were here a couple weeks ago, a 33 year old man died in his sleep from a heart attack. Very sad. I knew it was serious because the police were here for a long time.

The past two days have been picture perfect weather-wise! Too bad I had to work. Would have been perfect kayaking days! Supposed to be nice again today but it looks pretty cloudy right now. Then rain the rest of the weekend. I just have Monday off, so if I don't have the camper yet, I will spend the day cleaning house which needs it desperately!

Hope you have a good day and a nice long relaxing Memorial Day weekend! :D

Good morning to all. Just got home from a great breakfast at the local café. Now it is time to pack a couple more boxes. I figure if we get two a day done we won't have so much to do at "go time." The last couple of days here in Indiana have been beautiful. Makes us wish we didn't have to leave. Bill went to doctor yesterday and got a shot for the allergies. Right now it seems to be working. He says he feels energized today. I hope it keeps working. It is nice to see him smile and in a good mood.
We're trying to figure out how much we can stuff in the Alfa - to take to Vegas when we have to go out there later in the month.
Oops he is calling me about something. Have a nice day. And safe travels.

Good Morning Everyone !!! Sorry to hear you've had problems, Pat. I had a young woman dr. tell me when I was just over 60 that I had allergies, and I went to see her because my cold?? kept hanging on. I had never had any allergies at all, but she tells me, that we reach an age we develop things as we age. I wanted to slap her !!! :o  She is saying all this with the word "We" and she probably was in maybe her 40"s. Hope you can get it cleared up soon.

Barbie, looked at your new camper and it looks great, you'll have a great time in it. Carol, I know about the moving, packing kind of stuff, no fun. Wishing you good luck in your endeavors and your move. Hope Bill stays feeling ok for awhile at least with that shot.

No news from here really. I have changed my place of cleaning to the RV instead of in here. I'm thinking I need to get it ready to hit the road, so when I can't take being here any longer, I can just get in and go. Maybe I will feel better too, right now the thought of taking off, there would be a lot to do to leave, not good, so fixin' it :D I waited until I was home to do a real major cleaning, and have to do that I feel before taking off again. Wanted to play and know I will want to play not clean when I take off again.

Nice cool morning to be out there in it too, so best get at it.
Have a good day, stay safe,
CArol :D

Good Sat morning. Just got home from an early hair appointment so having another cup of coffee and trying to decide just what of the many tasks today I want to start. It was so cold this morning in the house but I refuse to turn the main furnace on! Later in the week I'll appreciate the coolness in the house! Just add another layer for now!

Barbie, so glad you found your camper! How exciting for you! And Carol and Karen, don't envy you the move but once it's over and a memory I hope all will be well. Sounds like the right thing to do for you. Years ago when my dad and husband were military I took it in stride but now I'm not thinking it would be as easy. Just trying to weed out around here now is getting to me and it doesn't involve a move! I tell my kids I'm helping them out!

Looks like I'll be shoveling dirt this week since the church has finally decided to do something about the water in my basement from their parking lot. I told the guy what I wanted to do, said he wished he had known before they started. Gee, maybe they should have talked to me before they started! Anyway, said he could get me a load or two of soil so may take them up on it since they have a truck. The end result, I hope, is no more water in the basement! Even if it means I get to move the dirt around! And it means my jello plans to meet up with Carolb probably won't happen this week.

Anyway, time to get started with something! Hope everyone has a great week end!

well good morning ladies, :D needless to say I'm tickled that school is done for the year and summer plans are in the works.
Lots to do this week before I hit the road. Don't know if I mentioned or not that I've decided not to go to the wedding in Las Vegas, it would just cause me too much stress later on down the road. Besides, the money I would have spent on that portion of my trip is better spent on a new set of tires as I make my way to Vancouver WA. Tires are ok for now but somewhere along the line they will start making me nervous as I put more miles on whats there. Seeing my dad who is 89 is very important to me right now and he's looking forward to me coming to visit. At 89, I certainly can't be putting it off.
So excited for Barbie and her new to her camper.
My daughter finally sold her condo, they closed on it yesterday and now she's debt free. Now, if she would just come and get her cat!!
Lots of things on my schedule for this next week and plans are to hit the road on Friday morning. Doctor appt on thursday so we have to get that over with first. A trip to Home Depot today to get the nine pickets I need to finish the fence, not going to worry about painting it right now, will do that when I get back. Have to do weeds before I go and spray the pre-emergent so they don't grow while I'm gone. Then of course there is always the clean the house thing before leaving so I don't come back to a dirty house.
Certainly am not getting anything done sitting on the computer. Ya'll have a great day, be safe and enjoy life.
