Good Morning all,

Been sitting around here reading the forum and waiting for that early bird to catch up with me as Kathy said. But guess another no show today, so coffee's on.

Beautiful sunny morning here and no freeze last night desite another warning. Fruit growers are assessing the damage from Wednesday. Think some of my blossoms got nipped. Oh well. I have 3 apple trees left after losing my best one to a Labor Day storm last year. Two of them have never amounted to much after 12 years, so gave them the ultimateum of grow apples or out you go this year :)

3 more days left before Molly and I hit the road. And Jane will be off tomorrow. Glad to see Cheryl made it to her destination and even got some help backing in.

Got the weeding, weed whipping and mowing done yesterday, so yard is all set. Battled the Mosquitos while doing it too  Sowill work on trip budget this morning, head to bank and do the last of my shopping except for perishables and pick up a few other things. So going to wish you a safe, nice day out there :D

Gmorning :)

Wow, Sue, Donna & Jane, all getting ready to be on the road in the next day or so!, Me? Jealous  ;) Y'all have a great time & safe travels. Glad to hear news of Soos:) Anita, so happy to hear that Sophie is finally getting her new series of treatments, & you're off to next destination, too? BJ, I'd say your yoga classes were quite a success if they're asking for more. Wishing you good results with your young hypno client.

Down to last week of wearing my cast--road trip to Delaware next week to go to same dr for appt. OSharon, join me? Will meet up with RT friends & cool people (& their dogs) that I met at dog park.

Still only limited use with right hand, & still trying to not over-use left  . With that, wish you all a great day 8-)

Good Morning, It is down right cold here this morning, not sure the temp outside but supposed to have been lower 40's and high today of 61 :? It was 66 in the house when I woke up so gave in and turned the furnace back on. I'm not complaining though it is better than being hot.
So excited for Sue and Donna as they have planned and hoped to be on the road for so long. I'm glad that Soos is good to go but think her doctor was cruel for not giving her the results of her test sooner. Maybe there were circumstances thought that we aren't aware. Carolb I know you can't wait to get that cast off!!!
My young hypnosis client did very well yesterday and I was amazed at the insightful questions she asked before the session. I will have to wait until she has an encounter with a bee or other flying insect before I know if it worked. The process is fairly involved, I have them imagine they are in a movie theater and will be watching a movie in black and white of them freaking out over the object of their fright, but I tell them they are in the projection booth watching through a glass window and the movie will have no emotional effect on them. I have them play the movie from beginning to end and then ask if they are comfortable. If not I take them deeper into relaxation. The next step is to have them play the movie in color with sound only to start at the end where they are safe and relaxed and run it backwards very fast, like in a couple of seconds. Then have them repeat it twice. If they state they are still relaxed and ok, I end the session by telling them they will no longer be frightened by their particular phobia.
I talked to Cheryl last night and her furnace wasn't working right and she had left her little ceramic heater behind. She was saying she might have to spend time in her truck to warm up. I was so sorry I didn't get her PM and we could have met up.
Beth do you know why it would say 'no PM icon' on her member page? She said she had sent PM's recently and they went through. but I couldn't send her a message nor did I receive hers.

I'll pipe in here...go to USER CONTROL PANEL. Click on the BOARD PREFERENCES tab. Three options down is ALLOW USERS TO SEND ME PRIVATE MESSAGES. I'm not sure that's the answer, but it might be checked to NO?

Good Morning !! Procrastinating here this morning, have done several chores, one Maggie enjoyed, we walked all over outback and picked up small sticks and threw on the burn pile out there. She enjoyed that, she doesn't walk much but she got around really good and seemed to have more energy this morning, which did my heart good. Its quite a large area back there, and many more sticks to pick up which is what Maggie and I, used to do each morning outing here. Will resume, as when neighbor boy came over and mowed yesterday evening heard him hit several, not good. One place he just left, because you could see some good size sticks in, well I can't have that :D so will get them picked up for next mowing.

Woke to everything wet, so have to adjust how I planned to do things today :D Wanted to clean out things not wanted in RV and get it cleaned, but traipsing in and out will just make a real mess out there. I do need to go to store for a few fresh veggies and make a trip down to dump to clear the full trash bag holding area out in here :D and other then that, not sure what else might get done.

Will get at something though, just wanted to say hi and wish you all a good day, and travelers, wow, thinking I'm a wee jealous, but my time will come, have to keep telling myself that :D
Have a good one, and stay safe,
CArol :)

Can't believe it is almost June. Sure does not feel like it here in Michigan--cold and rained last night. Supposed to warm up for weekend, however. Am in Sterling State park with an excellent view of Lake Erie from my campsite.

Having some of my favorite Michigan Awrey Bakeries Long John Coffee cake. Been dreaming about it. Yum. Had allergist appointment yesterday and dinner with friends. Today is the initial appointment with the dentist for a cap on a tooth, so not looking forward to that. Then I will have the rest of the weekend to myself and relaxation.

Good morning.
Excited for those just about ready to hit the road. Look forward to reading about your journeys.
Most of my week so far has been meetings, errands and then not getting much done when I get home. One more day of that and maybe I can get back to tasks here and feel like doing something. Allergies have been the worst ever this year and I've really been dragging. My last successful burst of energy was last Friday. I have not even been down to check on Magic this month.
Surprisingly cool out this morning but humidity is still high and forecast is for a hot/humid holiday weekend.
Hard to believe it is almost the end of May already.
Have a good day.

Good afternoon!
Well, no longer morning but I'll chime in anyway. Sue you have mosquitos already? Here it's those tiny little gnats and they drive the horses crazy big time. Even the dogs are bothered. You almost can't be outside for them trying to fly up your nose! (Gnats, that is, not dogs LOL)

I'm very lucky with my mechanic. He could easily have put the new trans cooler on and charged me $300, or even not done anything and still charged me and I wouldn't have ever known the difference. What a good guy. He didn't even charge me for his time or a restocking fee for the cooler he had ordered for me.

Got my new distance glasses and returned my readers. I just could not get used to them after trying them all week so I took them back. The new distance ones are ok, but will also take some getting used to as the lenses are smaller than I am used to. I have so much trouble getting new glasses because I am so picky.

DH will be deep frying a turkey for Memorial Day. Every single holiday he wants to have a cookout or a get together and it means more work for me. So now add extra house cleaning on top of making side dishes and double petsits that I have all weekend. Just once I wish we would get invited somewhere else!

Cody's new medicine came yesterday and she started on it this morning. I have a client whose horse is also on this and we have to put it in applesauce and syringe it into her mouth. On a whim I put Cody's in her feed bucket with a little grain just to see if she'd eat it. When I looked again it was gone. If she continues to do this it will be so much easier than my client's horse!

About time to feed the zoo here so I'll go.
Kathy

Kathy, your husband could be the complete opposite like mine and not want to go anywhere. He won't go to any get togethers. And he is sure not going to put one on. We didn't even get invited to our neighbor's retirement party and he has know him all his life. I'm thinking we were invited but he "forgot".

When Harold wants to give his horse something he puts it on her feed and pours a little syrup on it. It's the cats that are a pain to give medicine to. I can push a pill down their throat and some can still hack them up.

The mosquitoes were bad at the campground last weekend. It wasn't just the small ones but some were the big one inch ones. We were walking around with bug spray but it wasn't helping much. They made sure we went in early.

We use to have a great mechanic that we had a lot of faith in. He sold out and retired. I don't have as much faith in the new owner. We won't go to the local Ford place. I have mostly been happy with the one in Lafayette except they seem to have a big turnover of the service advisors. They give you their card with their personal phone number but they never return your call. They usually make me mad enough to call the main number and complain. That gets a return call.

I would like to go somewhere this weekend but we have rain in the forecast for the next 8 days. Might as well stay home. I hope we don't get the flooding like they are having in Texas.

Martha

It says no pm icon on everybody's page. You can select an icon if you want. That had nothing to do with the settings. I suggest you try sending another message and see if it goes through. Have you checked your pm outbox ? It's possible the message never sent on your end.
