Tuesday with sunshine

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday with sunshine

Perfect morning here in northern Michigan. Sunny and blue skies. Temp of 41 with promise of warmer temps. So will be great morning to finish yard work at neighbor's. They are having family crisis right now and still down in FL where they winter, so thought I would. clean up yard, one less thing they have to come home to. Whenever that may be. Then will go do some work in my trailer later.

Kathleen sorry to hear about your friend. Hope you can get your MH fixed. I've lost 3 friends this winter. Just brings us closer to our own mortality for each one we lose and each year we get older. JKermit and O'Sharon, nervous here too with big first trip coming up. Think it's natural. But we will do just fine heading off in our respective directions. And Tina hitting the road too. Also seems to be a rash of battery issues out there too.

Barb, sorry about your glasses. Too bad water is so cold or you could have jumped in and probably found them, but at least you didn't lose a really expensive pair. Beth, good luck in adjusting your hours. No rest for the weary. Ava, busy counting days till school's out. Glad to hear no damage from al the storms down south although TX sisters haven't posted at all.

Time to get a move on here. Work to do. Have a nice day everyone :D

Good morning
Glad I am not the only one nervous ;) about the first trips out. It is another beautiful day here in TN . I hope to finish getting the pool deck cleaned and the pool completely open for the summer so I can move on to getting the rv washed. I may just see if I can find a truck wash in our area and take it there.
Time to get busy lot's to do today
Don't worry if plan A fails there are 25 more letters in the alphabet.

Good morning, I had plans to take Elsie to STL today to my doctors appointment and then visit with a friend in St Charles. But, she only had time for dinner and as I gave it more thought I would really need electric for the night as low is going to be 45 so..since the only RV place near her is around $50.00 a night ,will hopefully seen her another time soon. It was fast notice as I called for the appointment yesterday and they had just had a cancellation for today. I'm hoping my appointment is over in time for me to beat rush hour or I may just stay put in a nearby restaurant till it slows.
Not much going on otherwise, yesterday was our 19th wedding anniversary. Doesn't seem possible!! I wasn't sure how I would do at being married after being single for almost 20 years after my first marriage but guess I figured it out :)
Everyone sounds as though they are counting the hours until they are able to get on the road. Sue if you need to work off some more energy I have a big yard you could come get in order.

How nice of you to take care of the neighbor's yard, Sue. I am sure they will appreciate it.

JRkermit, look online to see if you have a Blue Beacon Truck Wash near you. They do a terrific job for $28 for anything 30' or under. I love'm because it is getting harder and harder for me to wash my own motorhome. And when I have done it myself, I end up getting soaked and have to change my clothes and even shoes!

Heading out for a short drive today to a campground near my elderly aunt and uncle's house. I want to reduce their driving, so I am going to stay as close as I can and try to get permission to park in their gated mountain community's pool parking lot which is empty this time of year. I will just spend the day with them tomorrow and then back to campground and on my way to Tennessee on Thursday. At least they are more seriously considering packing and are going to list their home with a realtor--long story, but they have been trying to sell it to friends of friends of friends because they don't want strangers going through it. They are 85 and with lousy health, so they need to get down to their Florida condo, but are moving so slowly....

On to Camping World today to see how I can switch to DirectTV from Dish. Hate that they dropped my favorite channel. Also need to make brief hardware trip.

Good Tuesday Morning from sunny Normal... Cindy is mowing my lawn... was not sure if she wanted to again this year... she asked to do it last year as she sure needed the money... not so much this year with two of them sharing expenses...

I put a loaf of bread in the frig last night and took it out to rise this morning... it rose way way over the loaf dish... now it is baking and smells so good.... opps timer... wow it is a huge loaf... will share some with Cindy...

Oh Barbie sorry about the glasses... we went with a group to the Atlantic ocean and when my husband was playing in the water his glasses came off and he could not find them! that was an expensive trip... but he got to be chauffeured around... glad yours are not real costly... I only have to use the reading glasses since cataract surgery and I got maybe 6 or 8 pair from HSN... lost the sunglasses and got two more pair for $18... so I am set... have glasses stowed everywhere!

BJ I am guessing you do not have a generator... that sure helps when boon docking... but you can run the furnace off your house battery... I learned that from Beth! Sue counting the days to your leaving... you will have a great trip! Impatiently waiting Kathy's pictures... what a find!

Time to finish my v8 juice and take Shadow to get his nails trimmed...

Have a great day everyone...
Kathleen or Kathy

I was thinking that Sue would be a good neighbor to have too. :D One of the reasons I didn't want to move from here is because we have known our neighbors forever. When our horse or cows were on the road they would get them back in for us or track us down.

Last night the weather said we wouldn't have anymore rain for the rest of the week but it sure looks like it could rain. Yesterdays storms did a lot of damage in South Louisiana. I sometimes think about moving my motorhome out into the rain and washing it but lately there has been a chance of hail. Or it's lightening so I'm got getting out in that. Everything is so wet here now I don't want to add to that mess.

Barbie, sorry you lost your glasses. I need to remember to just wear sun glasses when I'm on the water and not my good glasses. I was so use to the transitional lenses that I had my glasses fixed for reading and sun glasses after my surgery. I leave them around the house but keep them on when I go to town. They are my shopping glasses.

I want to go to the post office and bank but that could probably wait until tomorrow.

A bit late for breakfast but wanted to jump in here today. I don't remember who mentioned Lyme Disease the other day with dogs but got me thinking....I took the boys in this morning and they got their first shot and will be able to get second before we leave on our trip. If you have a dog tested for Heartworm they can do the Lyme at the same time and save the pups going through it the second time at a later date. I'm sure they explained that to me but at the time I probably didn't see the need or something. Then it's just an annual booster. I also asked her about their microchips so they pulled out the wand and found the chip on my younger dog but couldn't find the older dog's chip with either of the 2 wands they had. So I had him rechipped. The first chip was put in at the SPCA so don't know what might have happened but I feel better knowing he has one that can be read. Now I just have to get to the county and re-register him with them. Poor babies were so excited to get to go but by the time we were done they were looking at the door to get out of that place and they were both sitting as close to me as they could!

Kathleen, I'm like you, I have glasses all over the place! But I'm still always looking for a pair! Barbie, I've knocked my sunglasses off my head too...just so far not in any water! Waiting to hear how Kathy is doing with her new RV too! and Beth, sounds like you handled things just the way you needed. Hope they stay serious about their jobs! But nice you didn't have to fire one of them or both! BJ, my niece is in the St Charles area today getting a boat loaded for its overland journey to Canada. Guess it's pretty big since they'll be living in it! Or is it on it?? Anyway, gotta run. Have a good day, everyone!
