Well, since I'm still up I'll open the morning coffee.
Talk about driving in the wind, we had 40 mph gusts on my way from Fort Wayne IN up to Three Rivers MI which made for a fun ride. Being heavy is the secret. Since I came back empty I'm glad the winds dropped off after sundown. Turned around and ran back up to Tecumseh MI to pick up a second load so it was a 400 mile night. I'm tuckered out. Today is suppose to be 30 mph winds so I guess it will be somewhat better
Don't have much to offer as I'm off to bed for "my nap" but help yourselves to bagels and coffee.

Good Morning Melissa, or maybe in your case it's Good Evening
that was a lot of hauling yesterday especially with the winds. Between that and the traffic areas, sure it was more stressful driving than being on the open road. Too bad they couldn't have scheduled that 2nd pickup while you were already in MI.
As for here, winters back. We have a layer of white on the ground here. Not usual though. I will just stay in and do some things in the house here. Would rather be out in my trailer, giving it a spring cleaning, but that will come. Need to make up a few little stretch cords for the end cap on the sewer hose carrier, but can do that in here. Otherwise same ol' here. Have a nice, safe day all.

Morning Melissa, Sue and everybody!
Walked out to go to the barn and walked right into SNOW pellets! Will this dang weather never straighten itself out?
I posted in Campfire about 3 Class C's I'm thinking about; I'd appreciate any and all opinions especially the last one I posted with the V10. It would be sweet to find my MH practically right in my backyard; the other 2 are more than 2 hrs. away and driving all over to look at RVs that aren't what they say they are/not what I'm looking for is getting old (and expensive!)
Have just about made up my mind not to pursue probate regarding my Mom's will. I think I made my peace with it over last weekend when I got away all by myself. Just too little possibility of finding anything and risk of wasting what small amount of money I did get from her trying to find it. I think I'd much rather spend the $$$ on my cute little MH instead. Something I can enjoy and it would be like a gift because the money came from her. Even though my DH is still very angry about the way we were cheated, I feel a kind of relief, like my gut is telling me this is right for me. Of course, I'm not just rolling over; I still intend to string him out about her personal property, taking my sweet time and asking for the moon there! I really feel a reckoning is coming for someone and it's not gonna be me!
So off I go on my day, gonna call the mechanic, then depending on what he tells me possibly the seller of the '98 MH nearby. And as always, I have dogs to walk! House needs a bit (a bit? more like get out the industrial cleaners! lol) of cleaning too that's overdue.
Everyone have a wonderful day,
Kathy

Kathy,
For what its worth we have a 2002 31ft Winnebago class c with the V10 and we love it. No problems whatsoever. In fact we were pleasantly surprised how nicely it handled going through the mountain passes last summer in Colorado. DH is very happy with it.
Karen
p.s. sorry for they way I "quoted" the parts of Kathy's text. I haven't figured out how to do that like you all do!

Good morning everyone. I'm in Coalinga, Ca on my way to San Francisco to visit my son, his wife, and their 4 kids. It seems like lately I'm going from kid to kid, making the rounds. But it's fun! Finally got the big scratch fixed from my run-in with the darned gate at an RV park in NM. It's good to be on the road again!
Have a great day all!

Good morning all, although nearly afternoon here. We returned from our Lake Michigan Circle Tour a day or two early due to the weather. Who wants to hike in the cold, wind and sometimes freezing rain? The best hikes we found last weekend were in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Fabulous, reasonably well-marked, and a variety of terrain. We will be back after the RV is purchased, which will be 2016. Glad to hear everyone is mostly hunkered down where the weather is unpleasant. Safe travels to those on the road.

good morning
weather is pleasant, not too hot yet and the little breeze makes it even nicer. I like the breeze but not the wind.
I'm just as happy as can be lately, as my time to retire gets closer, I'm taking care of certain details this next year.
That includes tossing and sorting shed stuff.
Time for my nap, ya'll have a great day.

Mornin' (?) ladies...
We had some major winds here yesterday also. Cousin texted me to say thank goodness you're not pulling the TT in the winds. I second that. I've already learned to check weather.
Sue please keep your layer of white up yonder. I don't mind it still being cold (no chance for tornados when it's this cold), but sure do not want snow after I've already started cutting my grass.
Kathy I glad to hear you've made peace with the money situation from your Mom. Better for your health this way, and you can still go after him for some other things. Just remember karma is a _ _ itch.
BJ I sometimes think if posts go poof when typing that I'm a really bad typist, but then I end up blaming static electricity on my home laptop. Maybe type them in Notepad (or WordPad) and then copy paste. Emails sometimes go poof too.
Liz - love the pics of the old churches with Nan. Now that tour I'd do
Well back to work from lunch time. Have a good day everyone.

I'll be in Ohio in three weeks, so I hope the white stuff is permanently gone by then!!
I am really enjoying my gorgeous site on Lake Lanier with a 180 degree view on a peninsula. Hardly anyone here during the week, so nice and quiet and today is sunny with an expected high of 75. Love the chilly nights, too. Highly recommend this place.
Got another call from a recruiter today! This one had dug up my resume from 2006. Last call I had a couple of months ago had dug up info from 2001! (Talk about the bottom of the barrel!) Obviously, the job market is getting a lot better, at least in Detroit. I told them both I was sitting in my motorhome in a beautiful place and there was no way I wanted a real job somewhere in an office. (Teaching is a job, but one I can do at my leisure, so it is not a "real" job.) I spent too many years sitting in windowless offices on uncomfortable chairs. Anyway, I am thankful every day for this life I have chosen in my little home on wheels. What an office!
Sorry, Eileen, that you got frozen out of your circle tour. I did the circle of Lake Superior about 35 years ago when I was married and my kids were small, and sometime I want to do it again. Glad you enjoyed the dunes, however.

Kathy, I think that anything you have to hire a lawyer for, it's the lawyers that make the money. I don't understand your reference to the V-10 engine. I have a 23' on an E-450 chassis and it gets 10 mpg. The motorhome I had before this one was a 27' on a E-350 chassis and it got 8 mpg. In the 1980's I had a 24' motorhome that had a Chevrolet engine that wasn't big enough for the weight. If you plan on doing any mountain driving you want E-450. The mountains in the East aren't that bad but the Rocky Mountains are something else.
Judy, with all the crap that is going on in the schools I know they are losing teachers here. Between the school boards and the government no one is going to want to be a teacher. They are talking about how much money they can save by increasing the number of kids in a class. The last school board president finally got fired because of his policy of letting the delinquents stay in school no matter what they did. When we were kids if we got a spanking at school we got one at home too. Now the parents want to fight the teachers.
We didn't get any rain yesterday but the weather man says that storms are moving in later this afternoon and tonight. We usually only get the rain by the time it gets here but Texas and Oklahoma get tornadoes.
I got everything washed in the motorhome so need to make the beds and get ready for the next trip. Don't know when that will be but want to be ready. lol

My last rig had the E350, as does my new one. For the size I have never had problems in the mountains with either.
I'm so glad you are making peace with the situation, Kathy. It'll always have been wrong of him and you'll never forget, but it's (to me) not worth the long drawn out battle over money. Money is not what makes the world go round (although, yes, it can help). Do make things as difficult as you can for him with everything else - but do so at peace with yourself and your decision.
I'm sitting here watching the deer out my window. Peaches just tried to get one to play with her. I think I got a picture - about to go see.
