Morning all,

That heading for today is a reminder to turn your clocks ahead before you go to bed tonight, for those who serve Daylight Saving Time. Guess that's a sign we are heading toward spring. I know Mom Nature is.

I see cases of "hitch itch" out there. Same here. Chomping at the bit to get that trailer out and ready to go.. But will be a bit of a wait as things have to thaw and melt and..... But I do have a project inside and would love to be able to start it. My water tank and it's drain valve as well as pump are under my bed. So want to cut a hole in the bed frame box and install A door for access as well as one for the little storage area under there. Then don't have to lift up the bed every time I need under there.

JudyJB and Irmi, hope you get your repair issues taken care of. I don't know why the manufactures of these fridges never put enough bins in them. T's much easier to take one out we don't need then to not have enough. Maybe it's time to just replace the toilet Judy.

Melissa, glad to hear your knee is doing good. Yes, it is amazing how fast they heal. Martha, love your tale of Harold and shopping. Men don't realize we don't need to go down every aisle, because we know what we need and where it is. I see many men with grocery lists in hand, on the cell, probably talking to the wife, cause they can't find something. But they know where the beer aisle is  O'Sharon, glad you have some sun now. Have to admit, the with the Great Lakes pretty much frozen this winter, we had a lot of sun as compared to normal.

Start of spring cleaning on the agenda today. Going to give my bedroom a good cleaning etc. so guess I had better get a move on. Enough of sitting around and being sluggish this winter. You all have a nice day out there.

Mornin' Ladies & all who follow ~~~

Getting a taste of Spring weather here for a few days 40* - maybe 50* today thru next Wednesday. Now just have to hope the Super Bowl blizzard snow doesn't cause too much flooding here.

Yes, I am seeing evidence of hitch it too. Maybe I'll get something this year, and if not, I can always still do my day trips during vacation week.

Hopefully all health issues have been taken care of and glad that eye surgeries and knee surgeries have good results. Now we just need to get Kathleen better too.

Have a good day ladies and if you're on the road stay safe.

Martha, I don’t ever want to shop with you! I‘ll have to go with Irmi. I go into a store with my list, get what I need and get the H out. I despise shopping. Thankfully I have Missy and Faye to shop with because they are the same way. Several years ago when the four of us girls went on vacation together and the three of us were ready to lock Cathy in the trunk because she had to walk through every souvenir store in the Black Hills. And she buys! Didn’t think we were going to have room for our luggage on the way home. That girl is a shopaholic.

Missed two days of work this week. Got my annual March sinus infection. Started on Sunday, went to the doctor on Monday morning and pretty much slept until Wednesday morning. Starting to feel better now. At least it wasn’t the flu. Seems like most of my workers are sick too. One inmates says he never gets sick and the rest of us are starting to call him Typhoid Mary as we sit around and blow our noses.

Posting some pictures of Bronc’s first birthday. Poor little guy…didn’t get anything! They’re going to have to build onto the house to accommodate all the toys that kid has! However Dennis and I were the pragmatic grandparents….outside toys. A couple I work with are moving across state and had just bought a seven activity swing set for their child last fall. They didn’t want dismantle it to move so they sold it to me for $75. Ryan took the horse trailer and loaded it up and it is now sitting by their house waiting for the ground to thaw so it can be anchored. Also had my graphic worker make a replica of Bronc’s brand (yes he already has his own cattle brand registered with the state) and we screened that on the back of a sweatshirt for him. The one with two little guys is Missy’s grandson Blake and Bronc. They were born three weeks apart and are already buddies.

Taken with a phone so it's fuzzy.

Grandma and her best guy!

Not much else going on. Missy is gearing up for the greenhouse and a load of dirt is going to be delivered this afternoon so I’m going to ride to Mitchell with her so she can sign for the delivery.

Have a wonderful day. So enjoy everyone’s posts during the week.

Good morning
Getting ready to roll in a couple hours heading to California to take
the jeep and trailer to Jon. Carolb is all set to house sit the critters.
Last minute bump in the road consisted of making sure I had all insurance
cards in place...yikes these are the old ones, so of course the new ones were
still in the unopened mail. Phew, all is well.
So now, just waiting for my hair to dry and then I can go get gas, come back
and hook up.
Ya'll have a great day, be safe, get well and be healthy.

Pat, if I didn't shop at Walmart I wouldn't get any exercise. They keep moving things so it's usually from one side to the other a couple of times because I forgot something. The other day I was looking for the dried cranberries which use to be with the fruit juice. Now they have all the dried fruit together on another aisle. My younger son would have liked to travel with Cathy. When we would miss him on a trip we would find him in the gift shop. I see a lot of shared mischief ahead for those 2 little guys. lol

I almost need sunglasses to look out the window this morning. We will have 2 days of sun and the rain starts again on Monday. Is daylight saving starting early this year? It seems earlier than usual.

I just upset a camper :o Doing rounds this morning, I was pretty sure she was sleeping in her car on the side of the road - pulled off, yes, but not in a spot. I let it go because I was off yesterday and wanted to talk to the other camphost. Before I got a chance a couple across the road from her (turns out they are friends) asked if we had another site available. Turns out (we were full) someone had just told me they'd be pulling out early. So they were taking it for that woman. Thought I could keep my mouth shut about last night. She was off on a walk. When she returned she came to say she didn't want the site, she was fine. I told her she could not sleep in the car NOT in a site again tonight. Law enforcement would be around and would make her leave. She huffed away, but decided to take the site. Just think if all the people we turned away did what she did - you wouldn't be able to drive the loops!

I have a love/hate relationship with shopping. I hate when stores move things that I know where are - hate more that the same chain will have things in different sections in different stores - but often spend way too much time walking the aisles, just to find something else that I just might want. That's mainly grocery shopping - as I try not to do it often, sometimes something will catch my eye and make for a different meal.

Cute pics, Pat.

Good morning everyone (from sunny KS!),
Need to catch up here - been busy between work, board minutes & learning all about medicare & SS - ha! :D
Love the pics of Bronc - he's darling!
And loving the pics of the GTG. Looks like so much fun!

Got the big van out yesterday since the temps are supposed to be nice for the next week or so. Didn't think I was getting it out for the season, but heck - decided, why not! Just gotta catch a ride over to pick up my minivan from the caves this weekend. It's so nice to have my "travelin' van" back home. :D

AND... I talked to the CEO Thursday. Told him come Sept 1, I'm going to be in Cali helping with my new grand baby & asked if they'd consider me for a developer spot (I have 2 new developers budgeted for this year). He was pretty excited about this idea. I already know the systems & database, just need to learn C#. This way I'd still be available to help the new director & possibly work on some other projects. As long as they are ok with the remote aspect, it will be a win-win. We'll see how it goes. I'm prepared to go on leave or retire if necessary, but staying on payroll & working remotely would be the best! :D :D :D

No matter what happens at work, I'm very excited about my new grand - They just found out that it's a girl! I can't wait to meet & hold her. And then to be in Cali for however long they need me is exciting. What a great way to try out a new place. ;) Hopefully, I'll be able to meet up with some of you west-coasters on weekends out there.

Better get moving... need to get things in order. :D
Safe travels for everyone on the road...

Shopping...I don't like malls, but once in a while it's necessary to visit one. When you are inside a mall it is impossible to tell what city you are in. They have no "genius loci". But after saying that, I have to admit that last week I had a great few hours in a mall! I went in with buying a few T-shirts in mind, and I found them in about 10 minutes. Usually it take hours to find just the right fit and colors. That day, I loved shopping. Other days, not so much. Grocery shopping is my favorite - you don't have to try anything on and face those big mirrors.

Cute baby pics Pat.

Beth - you can't make everyone happy!

I learn something new everyday on this group. Pat talking about getting Bronc's brand registered made me curious so I went and did a little research. There is much more to a brand than most of us "non-ranch folk" realize. A language of it's own. Happy birthday to Bronc.

Don't know who has "hitchitist" or hitch-itch worse, Chezza or I. Looking at the weather I'd be tempted to get the camper out, even if I had to re-winterize. Doctor won't let me drive yet since it's my right knee and I don't make a good passenger  They are predicting 9 days above freezing and a couple of night above freezing. The weather is teasing us.

I don't like to shop but Phoenix will go up and down every isle and can't bypass the clearance isle. She hops on that powered cart and off she goes. Lord help me if she see's a yard sale or a flee market. I keep kidding her I want to by a small camper so I can wait in comfort while she shops

A man with a plan

Thought about a van but I already have 3 vehicles and don't really want a 4th  Maybe I should just trade one of the cars for a nice class B :D

That would work Melissa! There is SOOO much room in the van for purchased items and in summer I have the fridge cold so I can out cold food and frozen food in to protect it until we get home.
