TGIF

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TGIF

Good Morning,

Thought I would put that in as today's title for those who are out there working while the rest of us are doing what we want and going where we please. Even if it' spending an afternoon in the grocery store  Martha, Harold reminds me of my neighbor. I don't like to go shopping with her. She goes in gets what she wants and back out the door in no time.

Love the idea of a breakfast chef. All those breakfasts ordered yesterday sounded so good. I'm looking forward t the return of my neighbors from FL for their short summer stay here. He is a Master Chef and can whip up some scrumptious stuff. I well remember the fresh Whitefish he made while we were camping a Copper Harbor last summer and the roast he fixed when they had my neighbor and I over for dinner one night.

BJ, you dogs are like Molly I can't keep her in either. She loves to be out in the snow and now that spring is getting closer, she will be in for a whole new learning curve. I'm watching the weather down through TN and GA as I have a friend driving an older family friend down to FL to clean out his house and put it up for sale. He wanted to leave regardless of weather and they managed to miss the mess on I-65 yesterday and got into TN last night. Still have to contend with the mountain passes before getting to GA.

I went to Camping World yesterday. An I was a good girl Only bought a new Good Sam Directory. Had a coupon with me and got it for $9.95. Oh I browsed the store, but really don't need anything right now. May have to buy a trailer to haul that directory in though  That thing is 3 inches thick.

OKey dokey, time to be off here. Going to the store this morning. and maybe later on take Miss Molly over to the park for a nice walk. She needs the exercise. We are going into a warm up which will be nice except it will start to melt stuff and the road will be a sheet of ice. So no walking again :( But the wait will be worth it. Have a nice day all.

Moring everybody. Ah, the sun is out this morning! Still very cold with lots of ice around but it looks so good right now! I need to make a run to Sam's and Petco today so having the sun will make it easier to get moving and getting out there! Is the breakfast chef on duty today? I like breakfast, just don't like to cook it! DH used to make breakfast for us and I enjoyed someone else cooking! I don't even mind cleaning up afterwards!

Got a text last night from my friends in SC and they are coming up this week end for a quick visit with his family. They plan to stop here for a bit on Sunday on their way back home. They will have their 2 pups with them, the youngest is a 4 month old Labradoodle! So we'll have 3 Doodles running around! What fun that'll be! My guys may be older but they still think they're puppies! Sue, loved the pics of Molly's paths in the snow. My backyard is full of tracks all over the place, no paths for my guys! I pulled a couple more toys out of the snow yesterday so they are drying out now! Wonder how many more I'll find as the layers start melting?! They don't like the door being closed, they seem to think the doggie door should be there all the time! Even if they don't really want out! I open the door and Rascal looks at it, walks away and settles down for a nap! Silly Doodle.

Liz, loved your pics on your blog. Sorry it's so warm and humid! Well, maybe not! I'll share some of this cold and snow with you! Lol! Beth, how's your new workcamper working out? Kathleen, it's always a good feeling to have goodies in the freezer! I have a ham I want to cook so I can make some split pea soup. I got the peas already so just have to get the ham baked! Barbie, hope your back is feeling better. We really do need spring to come, I think that we'll all start feeling better. Hope everyone has a good day.

Love split pea soup. Mom would make it so thick you could stand a spoon in it

Well, I'm getting my stiches out this morning so I'm pretty happy. Pretty amazing how quick you can heal after the orthoscopic style procedure.

Well hope everyone has a great day I need to get moving.

Good Morning... very very cold here but they say it will be 50 by next week... oh that will be great I can take Shadow for a walk...
Sue Molly is getting so big... she is such a cutie... I for one am so glad you decided to get another fur baby... it helps fill the emptiness these long winter nights... she makes me smile every time I see a picture...
I called Medicare yesterday and they said that I may qualify for some medicaid not sure how but have been on line filling out papers... the reason for this is to get another insurance company other than COVENTRY... that would take a lot off my mind for sure... I desperately need teeth so time will tell... the lady also does not understand the rejections... my spine and hips are in a mess again but I will be patient...
Oh yes a chef would be great... I do not get breakfast until almost noon time... drink my coffee and catchup on forums and games then think about breakfast...
Liz brag all you want about the oppressing heat and humidity!! do many of those campgrounds have cabins and allow dogs?
That would be a nice thing for the winter months...
Glad you knee is healing nicely Melissa...
My bean soup was very good... I did not have the energy to make cornbread so will do that and have a cup of beans before I freeze the rest...
Have a great day everyone... Tina wake up that lazy chef... he did not fix my waffles...
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Good Morning Everyone,

Spring has arrived in Florida. It's been in the 80's this week and the humidity is creeping in.

Melissa, I'm glad your surgery went well and you are up and about. Maybe some spring weather will help everyone feel better.

It's been crazy busy here at the youth camp this week. We are having a music festival tomorrow with Christian bands, choral groups and choirs. It'll be a lot of fun but a lot of work leading up to it!

Sunday, after church, I'll be going over to Hardee Lakes park. Thought I'd check on the girls and make sure they're behaving themselves  One last visit before they head to new adventures.

Take Care and enjoy making your summer travel plans,
Oma/Vicki

Good morning all, I am experienncing severe ""hitch itch". Went down and worked a little on the cosy camper yesterday, and will do so again today.
Daughter and SIL are getting along quite well considering...Maybe go over to AZ for a few days.
I do not understand what is going on with the gasoline situation. Price was up to $3.00 a gal, here, and article in paper said storage tanks are full!
Hope all have a nice day. Lyn

Me too! Where are we going? Want to go out to the hot springs by Niland? Kind of pricey but feels sooooo good!

Waiting for the temps to cool off and the rain to come tonight. After the hot weather, a little cooling off would be nice. Of course, I am heading even further south to Midway on the edge of the Everglades, tomorrow, so it will be warm there, but I am hoping not quite so hot.

I am getting REALLY frustrated trying to get parts for my toilet. Apparently it is discontinued, so after four calls to Camping World and two to Dometic yesterday, I made three more calls this morning to Camping World and another to Dometic. Dometic gave me the wrong part number--grrrrr

I was hoping to find someone who actually had the parts in stock, but no luck so far and still do not have the right part number. Dometic is supposed to be emailing me a parts list with a diagram. Then I need to make more phone calls. I am leaving tomorrow morning, so may end up waiting.

Glad to hear it is warming up a bit up north! :)

Hello ladies!

So glad it's starting to warm up for most of us. Kathleen, I hope you get the insurance straight. Barbie, I hope you're feeling better soon. Are the ladies from the FL GTG heading back to McIntosh? Martha & Sue, I wouldn't be a good person to go shopping with. I'm one of the get what you want and go home, type of people. I shop for groceries, but that's only because we like to eat.

JudyJB, I feel your frustration about trying to find parts, but your unit is almost new. Good grief. I've been trying to get the storage units for the inside of our freezer door and they're obsolete, but I can get the storage units for the refrigerator door. I have gone online and looked everywhere I can think of, to no avail. Liz gave me a link to try and they couldn't help me, either. We've gone this long with just one storage unit for the freezer, so we'll use the one we have and make do.

Although it's damp and gray and cooler today, things will warm up again tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!

My pups and I are heading to AZ tomorrow. Will stop first for awhile to see Anita in Salome. Marda (WickedLady) is arriving Monday I think. After about 4 days there I'll head out and not sure where I'll be going - maybe check out Yuma and other points east. Have to be back home March 30.

Sharon, the new camphost is wonderful. He's never done this before and is also pretty new to rving - so he's trainable :) Truly a nice guy and without the ego, etc of the last. Yay!

Melissa - I think that's the only good way to make split pea soup - the thicker the better. You've got me hungry for it now. I know I have split peas in the cabinet, might be time to make some soon.

For those of you in the deep freeze, I shouldn't be complaining about this week in the mountains in AZ - highs in the mid 50's, lows low 30's. Might have gotten down to 29 the other night. Starting to warm up tomorrow and we'll be seeing 60 again - lows probably will stay in the upper 30's. Don't mind that - even though the lowest temp is usually what we're seeing when I get out first thing in the morning. I'll take it over what you're getting! Although I love to look at the snow - that part I miss.

Am still eating the asparagus I bought. Good think I like it and can make it with various seasonings - I know I have more for tomorrow, not sure if that'll finish it off or not.

Wish I could meet up with some of you on the western side of Arizona - will wave.

Google "dinosaur RV parts" items you may need. That's how I found a mother board for the refrigerator in our TT. I think I ended up buying from a Mark's Service in New York....not sure.

Sue and Irmi, shopping with Harold is an experience. lol If we go together he tells me I missed an aisle if I don't go down every aisle. He and my son like to joke about me going up and down every aisle. I didn't go in with him yesterday because he was only going to get a milk and bread. It seemed like he was taking a long time and when he finally comes out he is empty handed. He didn't have his wallet and I had to give him some money. When he comes back he has the wrong bread and a box of Triscuits, which he doesn't like. He was looking for the Waverly Wafers. Today I got to spend the day with my shopping friend. I think I got my fill at the Mall.

Irmi, what are referring to as a storage unit in your freezer? Are you talking about the shelves? I kept all the door shelves out of my old rv refrigerator. It was an old Dometic so don't know if they would fit the newer models. I ended up getting an electric refrigerator.

Judy, they didn't give you the paperwork for the toilet. I have a notebook with all the manuals for all the different appliances. When my toilet needed work it was just as cheap to get a new toilet as have Camping World work on it. It was 10 years old so I figured it was just a matter of time before something else broke.

Irmi, lots of RV repair places have spare parts. I've gotten shelves for my RV fridge at one and they gave them to me.

Pat, I will check the dinosaur RV parts. Thanks!

Martha, yes, I'm talking about the shelves for the freezer door. We have the side by side refrigerator freezer and the refrigerator door is wider than the freezer door. I have contacted the RV dealers in the Ocala area and also in MD and they, too, have checked their factories and warehouses. There was one person I found online that was advertising them, but they were already sold.
