Sunday And The First Day OF March

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday And The First Day OF March

Postby Colliemom » Sun Mar 01, 2015 7:06 am

Good Morning,

A balmy 10 above here to start my day. Miss Molly actually started it a bit after 5  We've both had our breakfasts so a bit of relaxing here before cleaning up the dishes and getting ready for church. Other than that, nothing special on the agenda for now. Yesterday was a beautiful day, so warranted a doggie walk over to the state park to enjoy the scenery and the sunshine. Also made a trip to town to buy a new vacuum before the sale ended. So was a good day.

Looks like the Hardee Lakes GTG went well yesterday as did the Dutch Oven Cookoff despite the rain. Liz's Indian Pudding sounded good. Tina on the road to home. Looks like she might run into a little bad weather. Prayers for a safe trip Tina. Barbie, hope you are feeling some better today. Gals in AZ still chugging along. GTG posted for OR in July. Martha waiting for weather so son's mobile can be moved. Can't keep track of everything going on. And now that March is here and the long slow change to spring is beginning, more will be happening.

Time to head for the kitchen. I've got pancakes (somebody bring some syrup, forgot I was out  )' toast, eggs, bacon, cereal, sausage etc, for breakfast, so help yourself. Have a nice day all. :)

Good morning Sue & everyone!

Sue, that was a great recap on things going on with the group of women here and I don't have anything to add to it. Tina, I'm wishing you a great trip home and hope you'll enjoy your new solar system.

I remembered to say "rabbits" last night just after I put my book down to go to bed. It's been very gray and overcast in central FL but the clouds are supposed to move out today and we'll be seeing the sun again and temperatures in the high 70's to low 80's. We didn't have the rains here that the ladies at the FL GTG had and hope everyone has safe travels to their next destination. Karaoke was last night and we have friends coming to visit, arriving Tuesday and leaving Thursday. At least the weather will be nice while they're here.

Sue, I have several varieties of syrups to go with your pancakes. Dinner this evening will be chicken cordon bleu and twice baked potatoes, so stop by if you're in the area. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning everyone. Soos reminded me to say rabbit today and I remembered! Most everything has been covered by the others this morning so I'll just say times two. Some folks are up and about already today and some of us are moving slower.
It was great getting to visit with everyone at the gtg and putting names with faces. Hope I can remember
Wishing everyone a great day to start an even greater week.

good morning ladies
have felt like a real slug lately and not getting much done, so....today is the day, laundry and general house cleaning. Planning my trip for next weekend, looking at weather reports and 10 day forecasts to keep ahead of that.
Time to get dressed and get busy on my laundry. Forgot to get quarters yesterday so guess its a trip to the store and piss off the lady at
customer service asking for a roll of quarters. She lets me buy the quarters but tells me she's NOT a bank. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Morning gals!

Not very pretty today around here, gloomy and snow has begun to fall. I think Kathleen and BJ will probably get the brunt of this go around, sorry ladies!

Well, I may have just made an expensive mistake this morning--I found and bought a motorhome. OLD! 1985! but seems to be in good shape, engine sounded ok, shifted ok but I did not drive it on the street. Inside is dated (of course!) but cushions are not all torn up and there isn't any signs of water leaks in the roof on the inside. Seller said he got it from his buddy who had bought it new and kept it in a pole barn and I tend to believe him from the condition of the outside. Included in the sale is a portable gennie as the on board one doesn't work (no surprise there!), all jacks, has a newer frig (supposed to be 3 yrs. old and looks it.) and stuff for a tune up as well as the seller has all the records of repairs from when it was new, new tires on the right rear and the others are good, engine runs smooth with no knocks or funny noises. I gave the guy a deposit and now I just need to figure out how to get it home. So now I need to get insurance and look into a road side plan just in case it dies while coming home. Originally I didn't want to go this old but trying to find any C's in my area in the size I want has become impossible. If they're worth looking at they get snapped up before I can even call about them. And what I paid for this one I can afford to lose if it turns out to be a dud. Dummy me, I forgot to take pictures! When I called to tell DH I bought it and told him the price he asked what was wrong with it. Hopefully, not much so keep your fingers crossed gals! Oh yeah and it's only 20 minutes from my house.

Take care all,
Kathy

Wow Kathy what a surprise!!! usual questions how long ect.... happy for you... your hubby can fix any mechanical repairs and you can decorate the inside... Good Sam Road service is good from what I hear...
Now the other not a surprise we got dumped on big time... I let Shadow out about 7 and by 9 you could not tell he had been out... I needless to say did not go to church... this weather is getting to be an old story... if I had taken pictures it would be just the same as the last ones I posted...
My new Tracfone phone came yesterday but I did not open it until this morning... not sure if I can understand it... time will tell...
Ava I wonder what the lady is doing it is customer service after all... I have a roll of quarters left over from my last trip!
Sue pancakes sound so good... maybe that is what I will fix for lunch... have left over spaghetti for dinner... really needed to go to the store but that will have to wait until the snow goes away!
Take care everyone!

Kathleen, it's 26' and in surprisingly good shape inside and outside for it's age so I believe the seller when he says it was always kept inside a barn. I've seen newer ones in worse condition. My biggest fear is that it will die when I am trying to get it home. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.

Exciting, Kathy!! We will be patient waiting for pictures! Ava, I've always been able to get quarters from the campground office. Laughed at the Bronc stories the other day! So enjoying the DO GTG from afar!

Wishing Tina a safe trip home!!

It started raining about 7:30 this morning. Thought I'd stay in bed a bit and enjoy the sound - woke again after 11! Spent yesterday shampooing carpet and upholstery - wish I'd remembered to do the truck driver's seat before the rain!

Really concerned about my 15 yo granddaughter and her Crohn's disease. They just aren't getting it back under control. She's having a much worse time than my late hubby did. Prayers please if you are so inclined.

Happy March everyone - hopefully spring is just around the corner for you in the cold!!

Congrats Kathy, I hope you can remodel her and make her your own. There are some awesome "vintage" units out there.

Well, we got 6" or so of snow last night so I'm hope that's the" loin part" and that warm weather is heading our way.

Congrats Beth on the positive feedback. Some people just have too much ego to ask for help.

As for my knee I had a meniscus shave which was orthoscopic so it should heal fast since it's my right knee I'm not allowed to drive for 30 days which will be the hard part for me.
