I'll give Sue a break and start coffee. Well my ride just showed up so this will be short. 5 degrees in Fort Wayne and I'd like to have words with Phil about his weather prediction.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks for starting coffee, Melissa. Is nice having a break, especially when cereal is the breakfast of choice this morning. Your 5 degrees in Ft. Wayne sounds so balmy as I have a reading of -28 here at the moment. I too would like some words with Phil.

But I'm up and dressed and breakfast is in tummy already. Am waiting for delivery of my new washer, but don't know for sure what time it wil be here. So want to be ready. Pulled my old one out yesterday and gave the floor behind it and my dryer a good cleaning. So now all ready for the new. For those interested, it's an Amana. Top loader, no more front loaders for me. This one is simple to operate as it has dials for different water temps, load sizes and type of wash (regular, delicate etc.) No fancy digital or electronic stuff. Am hoping it wil get delivered this morning as I want to go to town.

Love the pics from the GTG. Definitely have to go visit that park. Don't know if it's county or state park. Al kinds of food stuff while be coming out this weekend with the Dutch oven classes. Yummy.

Barb, hope your dad had a good visit to new doctor yesterday and good things come from it. Also hope you get to feeling better too.

Have a great day all. :)

Good morning all! Been up since 3 am, had coffee, shoveled the driveway and had to have my friend at the hospital by 5:30! I am so ready for a nap! If you want to talk to Phil I know where he lives! They said we might have some snow flurries last night and this morning but they kinda missed this one! It was a real mess coming in this morning! At least for part of the ride, part was good and the other the roads were awful! Sounds like east of here was worst and it is so cold! Although at least it was 11 above and not -11! One day closer to spring! There's a RV show in Altoona starting today so maybe I can get to it later today or tomorrow. That'll make me think of spring!

Hope you enjoy your new washer, Sue. I went with a top load machine when I got a new washer a couple of years ago. I really disliked the front loader. MelissaD, please keep us posted on your progress. Sounds like the GTG is moving right along and fun being had by all. Love the pics. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day and stay safe and warm!

Good morning ladies,
Waaaay too cold today. Even with the sun shining it's not nice out there.

Up early today actually I woke up at midnight with a headache; Dr. said I'd probably have one today and boy oh boy was she right. At midnight I thought I could tough it out but by 4 a.m. it was beginning to feel like a train wreck. I didn't want to get up and disturb DH and the pups but I couldn't stand it anymore so I took some Excedrin which seemed to knock it back a bit. Took some more at 8 and I will continue during the day. It feels rather odd, almost as if I have an infected tooth or sinus-the pain seems like it's in the bones of my face not the skin. I'm hurtin' for certain.

Having issues with my internet today among other things. So glad it's Friday and also that the client whose dogs I would be watching this weekend called off. Just one pup to walk today and it will be a quickie!

Nothing much else on the agenda so I'll sign off for now. Ya'll have a good day, stay safe, stay warm.
Kathy

Good morning all!

My dad's dr appointment went really well, very thorough! I like the guy! I wrote more about his appointment last night on yesterdays MC.

I am very disappointed and frustrated with my new cable TV/internet package. I can't pull up any pages without getting a "this page can't be displayed" message. After about 4 or 5 tries, it might finally work. On Facebook, I can't look at any videos because it just shows a spinning circle on it forever. Never had those problems before I switched providers. It is supposed to be 20 times faster than my old service but is actually a lot slower! I am going to call them and tell them I will cancel them if they can't do something to fix it.

Steve drove my Jeep around all day yesterday to see what the problem is with it, and wouldn't you know, it ran perfect all day for him. Go figure! He is driving it again today...

Gotta head off to work now. Still have my sore throat and chest congestion. Hopefully, it won't last long. I want to go to the Home & Garden show tomorrow but will see how I feel in the morning.

Have a good day! Stay warm!

Sorry so many are having miserable weather. Hopefully, March will bring a little warmer temps! It is mostly chilly here and drizzly, but a lot better than north, obviously. Love this W.P. Franklin campground! Cheap and lots of quiet but friendly old people like me.

Looking forward to meeting my niece and her family at Disney World in early April. She is the one whose daughter has PKU, the very rare inherited condition where the child cannot eat protein because it can cause brain damage. This is one of the diseases newborns get a heel prick for--only 250 babies born with it in the U.S. each year, but it is very serious if not treated with a special diet. She drinks a special formula containing no PHE, which is the dangerous component of protein and eats a lot of fruits and vegetables. Most states provide this extremely expensive formula free to kids under the age of 18 because it is cheaper than providing a lifetime of special education. Here is a March of Dimes article: http://www.marchofdimes.org/baby/phenylketonuria-in-your-baby.aspx

She can eat limited amounts of potatoes and pasta and bread, but it can be a challenge to get her enough food on the road. I just found out that the Disney restaurants will provide special food for her if they give them a couple of days notice! In addition, there is one fast food restaurant in every park that has special food. This food includes what they call "medical food" or special versions of pasta, pancake mix, and such that she can eat more of than the regular stuff!!!

Normally her parents order this food from a special mail-order company that handles it, but I am very impressed that Disney carries this for its guests! They also provide other special diets, so good for Disney!

G'morning all :)

All is well here, down to my last two weeks before I start heading east. Can't believe it! It's been such a great time bouncing all over AZ, seeing peoples many times over:) Ava & I are having great times now that the needy neighbor is gone

Well, Ava is reading from fb for me, so I'll catch up with that news (I'm not a fb person)...Y'all have a great day, be safe always 8-)

Woohoo, Ava!! Kathy, sorry about the pain, but glad the cancers are gone. Sue, what I probably miss most is a washing machine! This park does have nice washers and I can hang laundry out on the rack once again.

I have today to myself and rain is predicted over the weekend. When I say the 'day to myself', I don't mean I always want it that way and don't want to see any of you ladies. Basically, it means someone went riding without me!! Goodness knows I have enough chores to do. I'm sure I need something from storage and the dollar store so I'll just have to take the SS for a ride after lunch! :)

Enjoying the photos and stories from the GTGs. A few names with the photos I don't recognize without their forum names.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow JudyJB, I can not imagine the "dietary pain" of your GD's diet. I think it awesome Disney is stepping up to the plate like that. I thought low carb was hard but to avoid protein... meat is my favorite food group. Well, you gota do what you gota do. I wish her well and hope they find a cure.

Ava, congrats of the senior parks pass.

O'Sharon, I hope your friend is recovering well.

For those that asked, Doc says my knee surgery went well this morning. Just rather difficult getting around on one leg until tomorrow when I can finally put weight on that leg.

Hope everyone had a good day.
