Morning all,

The day for the start of the Hardee Lakes GTG in FL has arrived for those who have been awaiting it. That park is going to be busy with folks arriving from different points. Hope the fog clears so you can get there.

Cloudy and about -8 here this morning. About 3 inches of fresh snow awaits me out there, but will get to it later. Miss Molly has already had her romp through her snow trails to make sure they stay clear. She's her own self made snowpacker

Yes Irmi, this winter has been cold, but more in Feb. than the rest of the winter. Dec. and Jan were actually above normal. But Feb. is on a pace to be the coldest ever recorded here where I am am. The average temp for the month so far is 1.6 degrees. Being this is a highest elevation area in northern lower Michigan (1,343 ft.) it does have hard winters. But I sure wouldn't trade the spring, summer, fall and the beauty that surrounds me for anything. I am getting a bit weary of this cold though, however we are on the downhill side of winter now, so it will start to moderate before long. Who knows, maybe next winter I might head south for a little break :) Martha, hope you get the septic system figured out. That 50 ft. rule applies here too. Beth, great job on getting all the campers in. Nice feeling when you know you have made their ay and their trip hopefully.

Well, sun is appearing, Miss Molly desires my attention and I need to get a move on here anyway. Have a nice day everyone. Drive carefully those heading to the GTG.

Good Morning!

Excitement builds as the GTG gets started. Seems we wait so long for some of these and then they seem so short, but a great time.

Martha, always something to figure out when dealing with government! Beth, you have such patience with your co-worker!

I had wind all day here yesterday so stayed in a got a few things done - including my income tax. L went back to Salome since no way were we riding. Cold enough overnight that I have to preheat the water for my Keurig!

5 1/2 weeks (-1 night) of boondocking and I am checking back into the park in Salome today. Time for desert riding and to get ready for summer travels. Today is the memorial ride/gtg for one of the men who passed away last summer. His widow is here from Colorado. I'm also looking forward to more driving of the RZR so I'll be good to go when some of the gals get here! :) I don't want to scare them! March is going to be a very busy month!

Have a great day everyone and safe travels for those on the road.

Another warmer day here, low 30's and so far a bit of melting including a huge snow slide that fell from the porch roof. I try to keep it knocked off if it slides a little at a time to keep it from falling on the dogs, none of them were out when it fell thank goodness. Toby has been in a bad mood lately and my patience's are wearing very thin. Yesterday morning he ate my prescription sunglasses  they were in a case and I had put them on my purse so I wouldn't forget them when I went out. While we were having breakfast my 'there is something going on radar' went off and I got up to see where the dogs were. He had torn the case apart and had already chewed them up beyond repair. He hasn't done anything like that since we first got him. My radar must be sluggish from the cold. Later in the day he jumped on poor Andy who was just walking by and I jumped on Toby. He is such a smart little guy but he sure has a bad temperament. I think he needs to be an only child and that is not going to happen here.
Sue, maybe next year you can at least plan to be gone a couple of the coldest months, that kind of temperature sounds really depressing! Sounds like Anita is gearing up for fun and planning more travels, hummm must have been cold if you had to pre-heat water for your Keurig. I was inspired this morning and got our taxes ready to take to the tax man. I mentioned to DH maybe I should do them on Turbo Tax and he said they had a major hack a couple of weeks ago. Carolb, you do stay busy, wish I could get motivated to do more work around here.
All those headed for the FL GTG have a great time!! Hope the weather is perfect.

It's raining here again. We aren't going to have freezing temperature in the South but North Louisiana is going to have another ice mess. I hope the rain doesn't get to the GTG in Florida. It looks like it will go more Northeast.

No plans for today. I made tuna fish salad for Harold. I'm not Catholic but I have lived in South Louisiana for so long that I automatically think of fish on Wednesdays and Fridays. We always had fish sticks on Friday at school and Mother made fish sticks on Friday. She use to buy fish in a frozen block that was about an inch thick and 8 inches long. I haven't seen that in a long time so guess they quit selling it like that. The cats seem to be mind readers. If you even think about opening a can of tuna they are all in the kitchen. It's hard to make the juice go 5 ways. They each only get about a spoon full.

BJ, you can come do my taxes now. It doesn't take long to do them, it's the getting started that I keep putting off. I got a gold star last year for not having to file an extension. lol I use to work for the CPA firm we use so they know me pretty well. There is so much fraud going on with taxes that I wouldn't use one of the online places or the ones they open up for a few months. I don't want someone in Walmart having my information.
