Good Morning !!! This is from a happy camper, even feel different having my driving privileges returned. thank you all for the well wishes on our trip.. It was a quicky but we accomplished what we went for and more, so a very successful trip. You all do not realize the full extent of what Liz did for me, so I have to tell you, she is game for most anything.!! You remember I had a water pipe break last year, well its not fixed yet, so we went up there with jugs of water to do everything with, let your imagination roll No complaints from that lady, just no problem. She really went above and beyond in doing this favor for me, volunteered yet, love her lots !!!

Need to be moving and getting myself ready for church. Really was tired last night, sign of age?, Liz did all of the driving, too. Running my mouth must be really taxing anymore

I'm not really up on the happenings here, but in the coming week, might catch up. Hope you're all well, or getting better and if on the road, please stay safe and those not, stay warm, relax and enjoy your day anyway.

CArol, such wonderful news! Liz is such a wonderful friend! Now nothing can stop you anymore from traveling.

Quiet here this morning, I have one visit to a mysterious cat to accomplish; I know he's there somewhere as he's eating, drinking and using the litter box but I can never find him when I visit. Oh well, at least I have evidence he's doing ok.

DH got the icemaker hooked up in the new frig yesterday, yippee!

Was up early to drive my hunters, next week is their last for ducks. Maybe I'll finally get to sleep in, lol!

Breakfast was a cherry coffee cake DH baked yesterday--turned out pretty darn good! There's some left if you want to sample.

good morning ladies
what a busy day we had yesterday, got all the laundry done (3 weeks worth) and concentrated on cleaning out his black tank.
It was so full of tp it was just all wet mush, seemed like no water at all. Disconnected my sewer hose and brought it around to hook up to his, using my flush king we eventually got it cleaned out. He learned alot with that experience. Will continue to
clean out the rest of the camper as times goes on. We drove around town a little and hung out at the lake here in the park
for awhile. One of the residents caught a bass and since we need no fishing license to fish here we are going to do some fishing today. That will be fun. Fishing is one of the things I've missed doing over the years.
So....another couple weeks of this and then all this stuff will be in the spot next door....

I'll be glad to get my yard back but for now we do what we need to.

Windy and cold so today will be an indoor day catching up on work and getting my cabinet project done. Might even bake some bread to go with the beef barley soup I made yesterday. Right now I am looking forward to the noisy family next door
to pack up and leaving. Aren't I a grumpy old lady??

Supposed to be up to 74 today...Yayyyy! Twins are out from Arkansas for a week and I got elected to make the family dinner on Thursday. NP. Got a text from one of them that they'll be over to see me today. Leaving tomorrow for a bus trip down to the Viejas Casino in Alpine just south of San Diego with Evie (Pooker). She drug me kicking and screaming on the first one and now it's one of my fave trips. I normally won't do a bus on a bet, but this one is only 2 hours and Viejas is just super!

CArol...when are you gonna get behind the wheel of that house of yours? I think you need lots of practice to get your mojo back and I also think a trip to Quartzsite would be just the ticket! Jan 17th or so .

Gotta run, I've been out of canned cat food for a week and someone in this house isn't talking to me at all. He'll get over it. Or not. LOL!

I haven't posted lately because my days are all the same. Walk the dog, go to the store when necessary, go to the library when necessary.

Anita, your new toy reminds me of something that happened to me. When I was 41, I got a Nissan 300ZX. Very sporty and I loved it. About 3 years after getting it I was at the grocery store and the bag boy offered to load my stuff into the car. When I showed him which car was mine, he asked, "Is that your son's?" I was not even 45 yet!!! Guess he thought I was way too old for that car.

I just got back from a weekend with the Louisiana Belles. That's a group of Louisiana women we have been trying to get going. It was a great weekend and lots of fun. There were 14 campers and about 23 women. Some just came to visit. I know some of the women from other groups. Most have the little vintage campers that they have fixed and decorated. Some people are so talented but not me. They had decorations and lights and a few had a Christmas tree. I dug around in the old containers that have Christmas stuff and found a gold star and a plastic wreath. That was the extend of my decorations. More than I have up at home. Next weekend I am going to Natchitoches for the Christmas Light Festival. I went to college in Natchitoches. I hope it's not too cold. The last time I was there I just about froze. The booths selling hats, scarves and gloves sold out.

Kathy, years ago one of our house cats was named Boo because he was so afraid of everything. Our neighbor was taking care of the cats when we were gone for a week and she never saw him. Our cats can tell when a stranger is coming up the steps and don't let someone knock on the door. There's a cat explosion.

Martha, this particular cat has always been this way. He is even like this with his owners. I just try to look for him to make sure he's ok and not stuck or sick somewhere. But as long as he's eating, he's ok.

I had a trio of cats that I watched for a month while the owners were away. The girl was quite friendly, the boys not so much. As time went on, the handsome black long haired one became more friendly and let me pet him while I was there. Hadn't seen them for a while and the owners just had me watch them recently; first time I came in the black fellow started to run off but stopped in his tracks when he realized it was me. From then on, we had cuddles every time I was there and he was always waiting for me by the door when I came in.

Had the day off today. Got up late and started working on some projects and cleaning around here. Then headed over to my dad's. He wasn't feeling good yesterday so I figured I better check on him. He still wasn't feeling good today but I got him to eat some soup and take his meds. He looked better after that. I will check on him again tomorrow morning.

Then my friend Steve and I went to pick up my kayak. Got it home and noticed two plastic pieces that the bungy cords wrap around on the back deck, are broken. Will have to see about getting those replaced. But I am very happy to finally have my kayak!

Have a little bit of a sore throat today, so took some zicam and hope it gets better by tomorrow. Had a lot of sneezing, coughing little kids in my chair this week, grrrrrr!!!!!

Was warm out today but started sleeting when we went to pick up the kayak. Didn't last long tho. Will be warm thru next week I guess. Fine by me!
