Good Morning Everyone !!! This morning starting my trek North for that ugly little picture on a small card (drivers license) that allows us all " freedom". Or that's the way I see it Being passed off from one person to another actually two people. My DD will drive my RV and GS will follow to bring them both back home once they've delivered me . The next person ( Liz) I'm being left with has graciously offered to drive me to NC to finish this trek I have waited almost a year for.
Another bump in the road though, I had been told my new glasses would be ready yesterday. I bet I don't even have to say if you recall the luck that's been mine so much this year that they were not ready. Liz, Bless her said go on up as planned and we'd make a day trip back down for them, when they are here. These bumps in the road that someone else has to come along and fix for me has been the hardest part of this year for me !!! There are no words strong enough to tell you how happy I will be to not HAVE to impose on people I love for every thing.

This actually is a happy day, I'm happy about my destination for today. I haven't seen Liz in a year and a half and since 1972 this is the longest period between our visits. Then to I love the church in the quaint little town and this time of year is usually a fun time there. So this really for many reasons is a very happy day.

Time for my second cup of coffee, need my alone time in the mornings so I was up before 5 but daylights breaking out there now and my DD will be up anytime. The GS we may have to wake

Morning CArol,

It's going to be a great day for you indeed, the beginning of the end of a long journey, I'd that makes sense Won't be long and you will have your "freedom" again. What a Christmas present that will be And I'm sure the reunion with Liz will be joyous for both of you. She is such a tremendous lady and I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet her last year.

On the northern front here, we have a little freezing drizzle coming down from what the weather people are saying. Don't have to go out, so don't care. Went north to what used to be a big craft snow yesterday and was disappointed to see about half the usual number of crafters there. But had a nice outing with neighbor anyway. Also returned the dog crate I bought as it won't fit into current truck. Ordered a dog pen instead. Wil use that in house and may come in handy elsewhere as well. Neighbor came over with some leftover corn bread casserole around dinner time and we wound up working on a jigsaw puzzle for about an hour.

Have some cereal here if you would,like some. Breakfast offerings are a bit low this morning. Need to replenish the stock after church tomorrow. Not going out today other than maybe over to visit a couple of friends around the corner here.Can walk over ever there.

CArol, I can feel your excitement about your life getting back to normal. After everything you've been through, you deserve this. Enjoy your visit with Liz. Sue, sorry the craft show wasn't as large as usual, but at least you had a good time with your neighbor. Good thing you don't have to go out with the weather you're having.

It's 40 degrees here in Ocala and we'll get into the mid to upper 60's today with lots of sunshine. Tomorrow we'll get into the upper 70's.

Liz emailed me a couple days ago and said the pianist for her church was unable to play this Sunday and asked if I might be able to fill in and I said sure. So tomorrow I'll get to see Liz and CArol, too! Have a good day everyone!

CArol, I, too, can feel your excitement! Must say, I have been expecting Liz to fit in here somewhere getting you from A to B. You are two great ladies and I know you'll have a good visit as well. Then there is the added joy of having Irmi play at church tomorrow. Wish I was there, too!

Sue, sorry the craft show wasn't what you expected. The last really great one I was at was the year Steven died. My sister, who I had been estranged from (her choice), and I went. I so enjoyed watching her buy things for her girls. I bought one ornament, a Santa frog in memory of Steven that I carry with me.

Guess I can say same ole, same ole here. Worked on Christmas cards yesterday morning, then an afternoon ride and another ride this morning.

I got to spend more time with my sibs last night. Brother hosted a bday parting for himself at a bowling alley. I hadn't bowled in a million years. We all had fun & I didn't embarrass myself too much - not that I really care - it was all about being together, giving high 5s for nearly every pin that got knocked down & lots of laughter.

Going to have a beautiful day here so will mulch the leaves in the yard before the cold sets back in tomorrow.

So grateful for this forum - each of you are a true blessing.
Mom always told us to 'Take good care of each other." This group does a beautiful job of living that out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who shook her head at the KS abbreviation. And I didn't get it for quite some time!

Found a nice local laundromat yesterday, but didn't do the laundry lol. Did go grocery shopping. Didn't really have the energy or desire to do more. Hate getting in funks, but at least I know the reason. Today I'm going shopping to find a few things I have in my Amazon cart and see if I can get them locally at a decent price. Otherwise, I'll be placing an order soon.

Tomorrow I'm going to see an old friend I originally met through the singles forum. She's no longer single so hasn't been a part of it for years but we've kept in touch. Original plans were to get together today, but I'm giving myself one more day to get out of this funk. Don't want to share it!

I'll also be making plans to go to a local truck stop soon to dump and fill with water. Ah, such a tough life and so exciting lol.

CArol, so glad you'll be getting back on the move. And that Liz can help you. No surprise there. And I love vultures, so give them a wave for me. And how nice that Irmi is able to fill in on the organ. Irmi, I remember you on the organ at Lake in Wood when the extras made sounds and you jumped. Wish you'd played more!

I must be in the after black Friday funk. I kept getting cramps in my toes, feet and calves last night and would have to get up and walk around. I didn't do that much walking yesterday but had on different shoes than I usually wear. My stomach is not happy either so I put some coffee in it. I'm sure that will help.

CArol, glad you are finally on your way to independence. Not being able to drive would have really upset me. Six weeks of being hauled around was not fun.

I finally signed up for a campout next weekend with some Louisiana women at a campground about 50 miles from me. I was already signed up for a campout the weekend after that. I haven't sprung that on Harold yet. Monday I have to go see about a slow leak in one of my tires.

It was 32* this morning and we had our first snow. Just enough to cover the ground and it is melting already. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if that is all for the winter
Can hardly wait for my life to reach the point that I can spend winters in AZ. Working on it.
