Good Morning from the Snowy 45th,

Yep, the storm has finally passed through here after two days of rain/snow, Snow, rain, cloudy etc. but can't complain as the U.P. Got hit far worse. I'm waiting for the local John Deere dealer to deliver both my snowblower and my neighbors tractor this morning. I took mine up there 3 weeks ago for a repair and since neighbor took her tractor in to have blower mounted, told them they could bring mine back at same time. No plans to blow snow today. Will put the cab back on and park it in garage till tomorrow.

Carolb, I had forgotten all about the snow we had in May when you were here. I was trying to be an accommodating host, as you had mentioned you missed seeing snow last wintr

Got to play catch up on here. Saw that a GTG is being planned for FL? CArol, I know all about those eyes drops. Been there done that. Barbie, get yourself a can of Prestone Spray DeIcer for your windshield. Will save you a lot of scraping. I also use Prestone DeIcer Windshield fluid in my trucks washer bottle. Works much faster and in colder weathere way better than that blue junk out there.

Okay, time to be off here. Got eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, toast, bananas, etc. if anyone wants to come up to snow country. You all ha e a great day out there and keep warm.

G'morning Sue & all to follow :)

Sue, even if you wouldn't have given me snow, you were a very accommodating hostess! :D Glad your first snow storm is over for you, Barbie & other northerners--now just try to keep warm...Anita, love your sense of humor! Less grass to mow if the leaves kill it  Thanks to all of you who shared your/your family's history of military service--you are among those heroes we so much appreciate.

Now Kathy, like Kathleen says, it's very okay to share your "down" times with us--we're here for you. I hope you'll get some relief soon from being "overwhelmed,'" & really looking forward to our T-day :P Kathleen, you are soooo gracious to invite us all & to put the invitation out to others. Vicki/Oma, you're also a great addition to our MC "group"--looking forward to the FL gtg, which I tentatively plan to attend :)

BJ, poor Toby still afraid of his bowls? I had a friend who had to use a flat plate to feed her dog--hey, maybe try that? Obviously won't work for water

This afternoon, it's our turn to have the bottom drop out of the temp. So this a.m., I'll get more stuff into HB--OSharon & I have connected, & I'll be on my way Saturday :D

Wishing y'all a great day & be safe always 8-)

Morning, all. Chilly here this morning, makes me long for FL. But at least no snow! The forecast is changing hourly it seems, they rarely get it right to begin with but it's amusing to watch them scramble around.

I just went to a get together at a State Park in Florida. It rained off and on the entire time, but we somehow managed to keep cooking, laughing and dripping. I felt sorry for the tent folks but they stuck it out with good humor.

One morning someone was knocking on my motorhome door before I was ready so I hollered out "Hold on! Still getting dressed, trying to figure out what looks good wet!"

Good Morning,

Sue, hope the snow season will go easy on you! Carolb, so glad to know you'll be getting on the road and have GTGs lined up along the way. I had a brief moment a few weeks ago of following you to Florida, but it isn't going to happen. :(

We had a LONG ride in the desert yesterday - 50+ miles. As a passenger, I'd prefer shorter, but I won't say anything. At any rate, we were the first of the year on some trails. Came across quite a bit of trail damage from the summer rains. Made the trails quite rough in some areas and interesting in a few - had to decide best way over some places. I think today is running nearby errands - hopefully I get a few things done in here.

Verizon says I used over 2 GB with my hotspot the other day. Ran a scan yesterday and found 6 trojans on my laptop. Hadn't been having any issue.

Hope you all have a good day, stay warm in the north and safe travels to all on the road!

Good Morning All, o'cast and cool here. No rain nor snow nor wind..same ole, same ole. Today is my luncheon with the retired water safety instructors. Our 101 year old member is in the hospital so she won't be attending. That's it for my schedule. I received an iPhone for my birthday. Have to work each day on learning how to do different things on it. It is going to be my "hot spot" when I travel. Lyn

Good Morning... wow what a difference a day makes... more than a 30 degree drop in less than 12 hours... looks like the very cold is here to stay...
Anyone thinking of coming to my place on the 22nd I put an invite in the GTG folder... Queen give it a look please...
I could not sleep last night but went to bed at 5 for the 2nd time.
Kathy I hope you enjoy your breakfast on Sat... you have been burning the candle at both ends... how is your friend doing? I am a bit remiss when it comes to going back and reading... I try to remember but you know how that goes...
I ran out of milk Sat... had a small carton of cream and put a tablespoonful on my oatmeal... WOW that is de-lish... makes the oatmeal a whole different dish...
Normally I go to my daughters for the holidays but they will be gone for a week this year so the ladies will be my substitute family and a better one than most!
When I have had a glitch while posting I finally went to a blank e-mail then copied it and pasted it here... was so much less hassle...
Barbie what a large snow fall you all got.... and Sue I heard where parts of the UP got 24 in... will you still go up for the Christmas holiday?
Beth is back at work and on her last few days of an interesting work camp experience.. makes you appreciate the good ones more...
If I am gone my iMac will be in the hospital... the tech said it is not a virus so e-mail is safe...
Third load of laundry is humming away so maybe I need to go fold some of it...
Have a great day everyone...

Only got about 3 inches of snow around here. Most of it went north a bit where they got 12-16 inches! Just cold now...brrrr!!! SO not ready for this! :(

I found a cute little popup tent trailer on CL the other day and sent an email about it. Haven't heard back, so maybe they sold it, or it is buried under a foot of snow (it is about 50 miles north of me). It was a good price and looked to be well cared for. Oh well, there will be others available in the spring.

Hope you all have a great day! :D
