MONDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY

Postby carolb » Mon Jun 23, 2014 6:10 am

G'morning all....

Sorry Bonnie, I thought I'd stress that it is Monday   or for you, the "first Tuesday." And already, a week has passed....

Well, great news! Irmi has taken me up on my offer of in-person hugs! So I'll be off Trekkin in a few days. Loved visiting with her last summer & have really been looking forward to a visit this summer...Peggy, don't know if I'll make it to your place, but think about meeting me along the way??? Maybe a gtg somewhere in western CT?

Sarah & Mitch? Didn't know you were on the road together? Martha, glad you enjoyed your gtg over the weekend. CArol, great to hear you're comfy in your rig--full-timing in your future ;) or does that depend on finding the tall dark handsome "driver"? Maybe Mitch can find you a cabana boy that would fit the bill

Off for more coffee...Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good morning Carolb & everyone!

CArol, so glad to read that you're enjoying and could full time in your RV. Sounds like you've got things set up just the way you want. Sarah & Mitch, have fun!

It's 62 here on the eastern shore of MD and we'll get into the low 80's. At least the sun is shining. Had lots of cloudy skies most of the weekend. Yes, Carolb is coming and I can't wait to see her! I started cleaning the gazebo yesterday since we spent lots of time in there last year for meals or just relaxing and talking. We ordered a new riding lawnmower yesterday as our Cub Cadet is on the fritz again and even though our yard isn't huge, it's too large to push the whole thing. We'll get the Cub fixed and use it as a spare. We've had lots of visitors the past couple days but things will slow down later in the week. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Yeah, itsa Monday, :( . Day to head on back home, but this has been a nice getaway. Third trip here, never seen deer here before but have been seeing does constantly. Haven't seen a buck, but one has got to around. Managed to get pretty close to one yesterday before she hissed and took off in the woods. Dogs are just fascinated with them.

Well, gotta get more coffee down, breakfast and get Rosie cleaned before we head on out.

Wishing everyone a great day, regardless of what day it is for you.

Good Morning !!! Rained during the night here and A/C has come on and have it set for 84, another hot muggy day ahead. This evening I will go back to my DD's as children will be home from time with their Dad. I will miss watching the programs on TV that I have enjoyed, especially the PBS one last night, 3 hrs of the Bears in Alaska in the different areas of Alaska. So interesting, they are so different, habits, what they eat and coloring. Just accidently found this program but I was so glad. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My sis called yesterday, they were on their way home from trip and she told me, it was good that I didn't go, and then mentioned a number of things that happened that were not fun to deal with. She has this way of thinking I'm so old that I can't deal with uncomfortable situations well, but that she can, she is 15 months younger then I am  . Her way of thinking and trying to treat me at times, is irritating  :( Like I am so old I shouldn't exert myself to do a number of things. I've tried to tell her not to try to coddle me, maybe I will have to say it stronger. I will admit the temps and heat at CG that they had, didn't sound appealing but I missed a lot of fun there and seeing people I would loved to have seen. Oh well, things are working out.

Want to vacuum and straighten things up in here today. Nothing else happening exciting here, so hoping you all have a really good day. Monday's are sometimes not good days, but lets hope you all have a good one.

CArol :)

Good mornin' ladies,

Been trying to catch up on what all has been going on, wow-a LOT!

Irmi, I'm so sorry about your Dad and Brother passing. Sending you an extra {{Hug}} via Carol when she gets there.

Barbie, sorry you are still under the weather but probably good you didn't try to go camping in all that rain, you might have gotten washed away!
Bonnie glad you had a nice get away trip. I know I need one myself! (I say that EVERY weekend lol)

Liz, that's really too bad about your sister, I hope she'll feel better soon. Glad the nieces are pitching in to help until you can get there. If you need a spot to stopover near Chicago, let me know. I have plenty of room to park a rig.

Carol, my clinic was for trailer loading and I was just going to audit it, not participate because the horse won't load in the trailer! At least I didn't pay for it so not out the fee.

Cheryl and I had our towing lesson yesterday, weather cooperated if a bit warm but at least no rain. She did a wonderful job! I even got her to drive out on the road a bit with the trailer. No worries, we will make her an rv'er yet! I know she was pretty nervous but I think she had fun too! I know I did. Can't wait to do it again! And no, no horses were involved-just us.

I am off work this week so will be doing little projects that have been hanging fire so to speak. Hope the weather cooperates as some of them are outdoor projects.

Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Good morning :D
Carolb, enjoy your trek to Irmi's, next time you come this direction, your going to be shocked at what I've done :D
Discovered a couple of folks in the park that had visitors with roadtreks and other small mh in their driveway, so guess
it seems to be ok although the lease says no, people do it anyway.
Am happy with the kitty finally deciding to come down off the shelf and do some snooping, acting like a cat instead of
a shelf ornament. This morning, in the dark of course....kitty and Maggie both sat at the end of the driveway watching
the street. Wish I'd had my camera handy cause they weren't two feet from each other sitting side by side. Daughter would
have enjoyed that picture too.
The outside of the flowerbox has been painted to match the deck, not painting the inside cause its treated wood but next
fall I'll get some flowers planted. :D Have the shade screens made, sort of, but I have to get the command hooks up and
that means getting out the ladder and the alcohol and cleaning the fiberglass so the sticky side will hold. I do have one hanging though
on the west facing window. Need more hooks on the bottom so the wind doesn't just blow them away. Right now it is
just hanging on the top.
The rest of my world is boring so I'll just say ya'll enjoy your travels cause thats all I'm gonna get this year. Be safe and
have a great day.

Good Morning we got more rain Sat and Sunday... makes everything so green...

Many things happening here... my gf T called yesterday... she is going to be a grandma in November... her daughter and son in law are getting married on their boat Friday and having a huge and I mean huge reception on Sat... they are both police officers in Lansing, Mi so there will be plenty of blue around!! She never thought she would be a grandma... she is over the top with joy... we talked for an hour and a half... oops I missed church... but it was so nice... we caught up on almost everything... I will go there in Aug have my own private camp ground and they give me the exclusive use of their golf cart... so missed seeing her last year...

My neighbor came home Sat saddened by this guy she went to see telling her to go home... she has had some awful experiences... her brother is in from Tx so that is a good thing...

My insurance is having a doctor come out to my place this afternoon to evaluate me... daaaa I could tell him I have a screw or two loose without his visit..
.
Oh Irmi I am so glad Carolb is coming to see you... she will be so good to listen and comfort you... Your sister in law must be having such a hard time... the children are at the age when they will be leaving the nest... life is so hard...

I got a very nice note from Liz... oh oh oh she is making my place a stop on her way back east... I will kidnap her!! She can park in my drive way and my neighbors will let us use their driveways for our cars...
I got a note from my son and he has not forgiven me for yelling at him last year when I came to my senses and said I was not moving!! he calls me Kathleen now... how funny... go glad my life does not depend on my children I would come up wanting for sure...

Ava this has been such a productive summer for you... it must feel so good having your space back!! And CArol you are back to helping your daughter... I did not see that special on PBS last night...

My friend Mollys cat has diabetes and she has to give him insulin... I would not like to do that!! he has been yelling in the night for a long time now... hope this adjustment helps him rest better...

I need to stop writing this book and get another cup of coffee...
Me and My Shadow are so very thankful for each of you... oh yes Cheryl a nice MH or tt should be in your near future... lol
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Feeling tired again today with a bit of a cough yet but getting better. Off to work in awhile but it will be a shorter day so that is good.

The weather up north where I was planning to go camping was just cold and damp with fog, no intense rains. That area got missed by the storms. Altho, cold and damp would not have been good for this cold at all, so still good that I didn't try to go.

Ava, you could "plant" some fake flowers in your planter until you get the real ones in. Some of the fake ones look very realist and would give some color to your new deck for the summer. Glad the kitty is doing better now. Hope she doesn't wander off and get attacked by a coyote or something.

Kathleen, where is your neighbor meeting these guys?? She should be careful. There are a lot of crazy men out there preying on lonely, desperate women, especially on the internet.

There is a new yoga studio opening up near here that is going to be open 24/7 with real and video classes going all the time. Am going to check that out. I am so out of shape and get so tired, stiff and sore from doing just little things now. I think that would be a good thing for me to do.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Kath, unfortunately, I think your neighbor is desperate and therefore, it's a good thing these guys haven't been preying - or she'd be in worse trouble than being upset about them dumping her. Glad Liz is stopping there. I'm lucky that she's stopping here, also.

Storms the past few days here. Then yesterday afternoon - while I was working, the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful late afternoon and evening. Sky is covered in clouds today. Supposed to see some sun, though, and so far no rain (today). I have come to the conclusion that the saying "Don't like the weather, just wait a minute" belongs to SD. Have been most everywhere in this country now, and have not seen weather turn on a dime as much as here. Day before yesterday it stormed, then the sun came out. I decided to take the broken down boxed to the dumpster while the sun was out. Just as I got to the top of the stairs (sun still out) a clap of thunder louder than any I've ever heard before occurred - if I had been one step further, I probably would have tumbled down the stairs, because I literally jumped and wouldn't have regained my footing there. Lucky me. Looked all around, could see no lightening strike. People were all looking around, shaking - the ground shook. Got the boxes to the dumpster, back inside, and within a minute or two, the blue skies were black with clouds and another downpour. Luckily no more thunder like that one. All that said, it's gorgeous here ... especially when the sun does come out. I'm told this isn't normal weather for here, but the last couple years I don't think anyplace is having normal weather.

OK, like Kath, I've said enough. Off today. Have had one good walk, a smoothie, cleaned up a bit inside - and hoping to hear from dear hs friend who is in the area - she and her husband are horseback riding today - so hopefully will meet up tonight or tomorrow.

Irmi and Carolb - have a great time together.

Barbie, hope you get completely over that soon.
