G'morning all :)

Crazy storms last night--looks like they hit most of the northern US. Hope everyone is safe...just some rain here to accompany the spectacular lightning show....I can understand how you weren't impressed with the humidity that preceded it, right Donna??? A lot like FL yesterday, but today much cooler...

Good go on the cataract surgery, Kathleen--hope you're okayed to start driving again :) Oh, Barbie  Hope you're feeling better this morning as you hit the road--keep taking that Zicam & have a great trip! OSharon, thanks for reminding me of the Windex window wash. Something I need to do this summer..

Today, a little more work on HB, as well as garden weeding. I'm really getting a bad case of "hitch itch"! Already been home a month, so I think an overnight will help til I can get away for a real road trip...

Y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Good Morning Carol and all to follow:
It is a dry morning and will be the next couple of days, if we get an afternoon sprinkle, it will turn to steam with temps staying in the 90s. I'm contemplating getting something for the dogs to keep them cool for camping. Does anyone have something for the dogs to stay cool ? I was checking these out, they look really nice and I like the bright colours for nightwalks. http://www.pettemp.com/05koolkoatmain/index.htm

Carol, I know the feeling of the camper itch, yes, take a weekend away and if you cant, at least backyard camp.

Have a great day and even better if you are lucky enough to be on the road !

Friday, Rosie will be on the road again :D

Good Morning very warm this morning... hot this afternoon... we did not get rain yesterday... I wish I had the weather channel... Cheryl helped me set up NOAA on my iMac but wish it was on my tv as well... they do not have the weather channel on the smallest package of internet and tv...
Oh I do hope Barbie is doing ok for her vacation trip... It looked like Sue may be in the rainy area last night... hope everything is going ok for her...
Slept better last night.. I did get a few things done yesterday morning... Kelsie comes today she will do my bathroom and bedroom... things do not get real bad but so glad she is coming every week... I did ask my daughter about Salvation Army for donations she did not think they had a store in this area anymore... so guess Good Will was the only place to take the donations...
Margie is going to have a garage sale the first part of July so the large items I want to get rid of will go then... if they do not sell they will be given away! She put most things back in the MH while she was here... it will be like starting all over again with junk all cleaned out. I know how I am so it will gradually things get back in there as I simply think I will need this and that and do not use them!
Has anyone used the RustOleum restore? they say you can use it on warn decks and it fills in the wood... let me know if you have used this or another product...
Me and My Shadow are looking forward to your morning coffee messages...
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Well, I just cancelled my reservation for tonight's camping site. I feel really awful, my throat is burning, have a splitting headache and really tired. Not up for a 5 hour drive today. Will take it easy today and see how I feel tomorrow morning. Will miss going to Ely and seeing the Bear Center, but maybe I can still do the rest of the trip.
Meanwhile I am going back to bed...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning. Got a good nights sleep last night ( no headache to speak of ), and made it to Quest for blood work this morning early. Not sure why I was so weak and headachy yesterday, may have just been the heat.

Have an apt tomorrow at the Ford dealership for a general checkup on the little bit (RV). Will definitely get new spark plugs and wires. Other than that just check everything out prior to July 4 weekend. Kind of ironic that I'm going to Lake Possum Kingdom where the big 5th wheel is hooked up. There will be somewhere around 20 people there, so I'll have my own little place to hide out.

Still taking the old wall paper off the kitchen/dinning area. Down to the last little area in one corner, then I can start with the texturing.

Got to go, you all have a good day.

Good Morning All, Barbie, that is a shame you are so sick. Hope you get feeling better soon so that you can get on the road. Carol, your lightening storm sounds spectacular! Yesterday when I went to the store I bought the ingredients for the soup that Kathleen made. It sounded so good, and, it is!!!
Today having fish and chips down at the waterfront with a couple of friends. lyn

Good Morning, Going to be a hot humid one here today too, but so far no storms predicted. Dogs finally ate their breakfast, they stand around while I'm fixing like they are starving, then Winnie is the only one who will eat as soon as I put it down. The other two are like, is this it.. are you sure we can't have something better...finally Winnie comes in and threatens to eat theirs if they don't. She could do it too, she is tiny but I think she is all stomach and kidneys :)

Barbie I am so sorry you are sick and can't leave as planned for your trip! I hope you will feel like going tomorrow. Lyn wish I were in San Diego having fish and chips with you today, I bet your weather is lovely.

Good morning :D
so sorry Barbie is sick and had to cancel her trip, hope you feel better real soon and it doesn't settle in to something
really nasty.
The deck is coming right along and I'm going to post a few pictures in a few minutes. The heat of the day stops me earlier
and earlier so not getting but an hour or so of actual work done outside before its time to come in. Don't suppose I need
to remind anybody how much I hate Arizona in the summer :x they keep saying...But its a dry heat,.....well so what, its
still hot.
Time for Danial Boone. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning !! Barbie, so sorry you had to cancel even one night of your camping trip, sure hope today helps and you feel much better soon.

Getting over a going away to Army and graduation party here today. What a good time we all had especially my GS, last night, only downer was the dad didn't show, has a seriously jealous girlfriend, wish he'd. Forget about himself and think of his children's happiness above his own, for once !!

DD had to work, in court on big case today, she'll make the day ok, but I plan to do what cleaning I can so she doesn't come home to the party aftermath. So busy day, but will pace myself, little ones are even tired, slept in and now quietly watching cartoons. It ended in a swimming party and wore these two out :

Wishing you all a fabulous day with some fun of your choosing included somewhere in it !!!
Most of all whatever you are doing, stay safe !!!

It's still morning, barely. Crazy storms here again yesterday evening and overnight. The news last night talked about golf ball sized hail in some places. So I'm very glad to have missed that. Hope all of you in the storm zone faired well also.

Barbie, so sorry you weren't well enough to leave today. Hope you kick this today and can make the rest of the trip.

My Monday today. Back to work this afternoon. Got a lot accomplished on the website I'm building. Waiting again now on some answers to questions I emailed. Then I think I can get her finished with another good day to work on it.

Good afternoon to all!

New baby and cleaning out 37 years of "stuff" from the house has kept me too busy to get on here since I got back here. Black flies are the worst I have seen them since the early 60s, prior to their aerial spraying of poisons that killed everything that flew, including birds. More recently they have been putting BTI (Bacillus thuringienis israelensis) larvicide in our fast moving streams where the black flies breed. However, they are saying they missed the first hatch of them this year but hope to get the second hatch under control. Also the deer flies are now out, much earlier than ever before, and so are the no-seeums at night, along with the mosquitoes. Can you tell we are really buggy here this spring? ACK! It is impossible to do anything outside without getting totally covered up, lathered up with DEET bug juice, and head nets if you don't wish to breathe the little suckers into your lungs! I cannot wait until they peter out so we can get outside more often. Now we have to stay inside the screen rooms I have set up here by the trailer.

My son and his wife are coming from FL on the 28th, so I'm looking forward to a family reunion here soon. As far as a formal GTG goes here this year, the Ruckus in the Mountains, if it happens at all, will be just a very informal gathering consisting of RVers not too far away, hamburgers, hot dogs, s'mores, campfires, and good country music. I am far too busy to organize anything this summer other than just a simple campout week attended by whomever can show up. I will post dates when I won't be away at bluegrass festivals, and then we can decide what might work. In the meantime, I think of you often, write daily a few lines on Facebook, and pretty much try to work inside the house on sorting, tossing, storing, and burning!

Barbie I am so sorry you won't get to the Bear Center in Ely. I get emails and reports from them every day, and my dream is go there some day and meet Doc and sue who run the place.

I hope you all are doing fine wherever you may be.
