Good Morning all,

Beautiful morning out here for the final day of May. Except the mosquitos are out in force too, it being so quiet out there with no breeze.

Reading through yesterday's posts, it sounds like a lot of you are either camping this weekend or making plans to do so at future dates. I finally set my itinerary in place for my trip in two weeks. Will be heading into the U.P. and staying at Lake Gogebic State Park near Marenisco,(far western end of peninsula) for June 16h through the 19th. Then will move to Van Riper State Park near Champion (30 miles west of Marquette) for the 20-23 and will head home on the 23rd. Will probably leave here on the 15th and overnight along the way as it's long drive and one doesn't make time on U.S. 2 with all the hills, trucks and so forth. Plus need to let Sassy have leg stretches as she gets stiff from laying down for too long of a time in one place. Anybody want to join us, you are welcome, but the parks are filling up fast, so need to reserve a site pronto.

We had a good day yesterday, Sassy and I. Took a ride to Mackinaw City via Paradise Lake, a bit south of Mackinaw. Wanted to scout out that lake. Have often thought it might be a nice place to move to if there was a place for sale with the right price. Had planned to walk along the shoreline of the straits at Mackinaw, by the bridge, but the Mayflies are out in force up there right now, so had to abandon that idea. Bug season in MI. So took a leisurely drive back and stopped to visit one of my old bosses at Burt Lake State Park near Indian River. So we had a good day all the way around despite having to shorten our stroll.

Ava, you are posting pics of your new deck, right  CArol, sure do wish you were able to join me in my little U.P. jaunt. Oh well, next year. Kathleen, glad you got that emergency button thing. One of those have been on my mind too. I'm really looking forward to Liz and Birdie's adventures today.

Need to go do a bit shopping this morning, gas up truck and get gas for lawn tractor. Power washing house and deck on the agenda today. Borrowed neighbors power washer and don't want to keep it here all summer  You all have a wonderful day out there and enjoy it.

Good Morning Sue and all to follow :D
It is a rainy weekend here, but good weather for studying. I am going for my Animal Behaviorist certification and its is learning a whole new way of training, but positive training is so much better than the old style. I have been using a lot of the techniques on Beck and it has made some great changes.

My house needs a good power washing, can you come here after you are finished?

Good Morning Sue and everyone else still sleeping or moving around doing other things...

I had my last counseling appointment yesterday. Things have settled down in my mind and heart since there has been no contact with my twins. The lady I counsel with gave me such a nice complement 'You are so happy so many people aspire to be like you'. Wow that was unexpected along with a hug. I told her I would be back if needed

Shadow wiggled on his belly up to touch my hand at 5 am. Now anyone that truly knows me knows that is not my favorite part of the day! I told him 'Its too early!' Then i felt bad and said 'Do you really have to go out?'. So we got up at 5:15. I have had a cup of coffee fed the mut and am reading what is happening in the world of cyber space.

Sue sounds like a nice trip you have planned. I will not be coming to Michigan until the end of July. My grandson gets married on Aug 2. Would like to go visit my bf in Six lakes but not sure just yet.

MY first cataract surgery is Monday so I will be at my daughters for a night and day. The Dep on Aging approved my help for cleaning and other things. The lady starts on Wed from 2 to 5. Perfect for me.

I have looked with awe at Ann's remodeling of their Alfi that has been over 12 years. Simply amazing. And Sue yours is also so nice. Ava you soon will post pictures of your remodel I hope. Kathy glad you are taking a short break and to boot Cheryl will be there. Bonnie I have enjoyed seeing the pooches and your posts... Liz you are having such a great time with Birdie. And now Anita is well into Canada on her trek to Alaska. Not sure I would want to go that far alone.

It is cool this morning so I need to get on the trail and ride my trike. It will be way too hot in a while... 87... now it is 63..

Me and My Shadow wish everyone a beautiful day

Everyone have a great day. Another day here for not getting to move the pile of RV things from the dining room out to find their new home in the new rig. It has been two weeks and between long days at work and dog shows the pile has not moves. Stuart does nothing when I am at work but keep a watch for squirrel invasions. :o Maybe in another week there will be a break in the schedule. Today I am off to be the obedience judge for the 4H dog show. It is nice to see and speak with well mannered children and beautiful dogs! :)

Mornin' Sue, Kathleen, Tina & all that follow.

Looks like it's going to be a great day weatherwise today for meeting Kathy (GingerK) at Illini SP. And hoping to meet up with Sandi tomorrow near her mother's home town.

Sue - glad Sassy seems to be doing OK. Can't wait to see some pics from your trip in two weeks. You deserve to finally get on the road after all the work you've done to the TT. Have fund!

Kathleen so glad things are getting settled and you have the cleaning help coming for you and news from the counselor is awesome!

OK - I definitely miss things on the forum - I thought Tina was in Zion but now sounds like your home? :? Geesh I'm so clueless.

Have a great day everyone and if you're on the road, stay safe.

Good morning :D
not to worry girls, I'll post pics of the deck when its done, but thats a good week away yet, maybe two depending on
the heat and how much I get done in the wee hours of sunrise.
Plans for the day, well I have an appt at the Virginia Piper cancer center for a skin cancer screening. Its one of those
free events and I signed up a couple weeks ago. Appts at 9:25. Lets hope there are no suspicious spots, but this is long
overdue as I've never had a total body screening.
Not worrying about laundry today, its mostly linens anyway. Will while away my afternoon by cleaning and sorting cubbies
and cabinets. For now I'm just enjoying the coolness of the morning listening to the birds. Can't get anything done cause
I'll get hot and sweaty and we can't have that since I have that appt.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

oops, two snuck in there while I was posting :D but let me fix somebodies confusion.....Birdie is in Utah with Liz, Tina (birdbybird) is home. Two different ladies :D

Sue, looks like you and I will be on opposite sides of Lake Superior at the same time in June. We can wave to each other across the lake!

The nice weather is leaving here soon. We have nasty weather moving in later today for the next three days. Torrential rains predicted with more flooding. We surely don't need more rain here! The lakes and rivers are still way up over their banks around here.

So much to do yet with unpacking the new place and cleaning the old place, but have a full work schedule this weekend so not much will get done til next week sometime.

BayouLady, is that course on line? I have thought about taking something like that myself. I looked into ABC Animal Behavior school awhile back, too.

Have a good, safe day!

Good morning Everybody. Tina, I guess I have
n't been paying attention. I didn't know the Short Bus was history and you have a new rig......
My friend, Nancy from Florida, who some of you met at Silver River a few years back, is visiting for a week. We're going to see how much trouble we can get into while she's here. Enjoy today. Peggy

Good Morning Ladies !!! Think its going to be a hot one here today, great sleeping last night with my window open. so still this morning though, had to turn the A/C on already. My neighbors left on my left here and I can see now for quite a distance. They're headed for Traverse City, MI, sure would have liked a ride going up  They could have pitched me out at your place Sue  we could have done the Up together and then I could have went to my cousins in Traverse City, and hitched a ride back with the neighbors, who plan to come back in Sept. Oh my goodness, I am becoming quite the dreamer !!!!

Nothing on the agenda here, have most straightened up, but do have loads of papers to go through, and toss or put away, must get myself to doing that today. Taking up my seating here at table, and if Grands come over I will be getting all out of order again , for them to set down  I'm such a lazy person :o

I, too, am anxiously waiting for the report from the gals out there riding in Bryce. Aren't we all having such a fabulous trip with them ??

Have a good day, hope your appt. goes well Ava. I should make an apt for such too, but right now have more then I want to deal with, just hope its something ok to be put off.

Those on the road, enjoy the ride, and please stay safe,
CArol :)

Good Morning to all.

I baby sat on my own this morning while Mandy and Joe went to the bank. Little O and Teeny O and I took a little nap on the couch after I fed the Teeny O his first ever milk bottle! (His mother's milk, but a different dispenser!) It's sunny but cool today, after a very cool night----my trailer furnace came on and I have it set as low as it goes without turning it off----must have gone down to about 45 degrees in here. Not sure what's on the docket for the next few days, but I think we will begin to head home to Vermontville with as much stuff as we can haul.

Not only is this the last Saturday in May, but it's the last day in May! Where on earth did this time go this month????

Good Evening,

I am going to be so far behind on reading the forum. Can't begin to keep up with Liz and Birdie - do they ever slow down? They are in great country tho.

I pulled into Whitehorse, Yukon Territory a little earlier - luckily I got to WalMart before I had to pullover due to the wind!! It started as I was coming into town and really kicked up. Dirt and sand blowing so I hated to get out of the truck.

Will try to do a blog post - really a bit boring, days of driving. Pretty sights but nowhere to pull over. I did see 3 black bears yesterday!

Love the engine brake system on the new truck. I think of Catherine on the 8% grades - think someone else mentioned not liking those. They have never bothered me but the engine brake is pretty nice!

I will try not to forget 'Rabbits' tomorrow!
