Memorial Weekend Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Memorial Weekend Saturday

Postby Irmi » Sat May 24, 2014 5:48 am

Good morning everyone!

Soos, I hope Little O's jaundice problems go away. Barbie, you must be excited to get ready for your move and get Chelsea back. Othersharon, have you considered putting your RT in your driveway and trying to sell it? RT's are a hot commodity item and you'll probably not have any problems selling and not have to pay someone commission to sell it. Lyn, I sure hope you're feeling better soon! Kathleen, you can never be too late for MC! I hope everyone else is doing fine, whether you're on the road or home.

It's a little on the cool side in MD this morning and we'll warm up into the mid 70's this afternoon with clear skies. Our motorhome will be spending the weekend locked up in our mechanics shop as they still haven't found the problem with the backup lights not working and there is still an exhaust leak, even after tightening the clamp, so they need to do something different with that. The good news is the airbag leak is fixed. One down, two to go!

German pancakes, sausage, sliced peaches and coffee are ready for breakfast, so please help yourselves. Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Irmi and everyone else... it is a bit cool here this morning but will also be high 70s later.

Augie my daughters shelty kept nose butting the bed and one yelp each time. I ignored him and finally he went to sleep. Shadow does not understand why his best buddy cannot play like they used to. They used to chase and wrestle and play for hours. But Augie is very crippled with arthritis... he is outside now that seems to give him the most pleasure. he watches for hours... he can't even go on walks like he used to..

Hoping the injections will kick in before the end of tomorrow. at least the 20 lb I lost last year did not come on but ugh need to lose so much more. Starting the program she had me on last year. So I have to pass up the German Pancakes and sausage but the peaches would go nicely with my oatmeal and blue berries... am going to fix a cup of coffee soon...

I got some more calls about how to do this and that with the motor home... By now they are heading for the rocks or canoes or hiking... I am so happy they could go...

Later I will go outside and enjoy the weather...

Me and My Shadow and Augie are smiling
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

G'morning Irmi, Kathleen & all to follow :)

Glad to hear you're getting all the little things fixed on the new MH, Irmi. Oh yes, this is a weekend for you to stay home--boy, do I remember all that beach traffic! Kathleen, poor little Augie. I bet he misses playing as much as Shadow does :(

OSharon, if you'd send more info on your Trek, I know someone who is looking. She's in Louisiana and would be willing to make the trip if it's the right one for her. Maybe send me a PM??? Irmi's right--they are a hot commodity & hard to find...

Hope the little O is getting over his jaundice...Barbie, have fun camping & moving  Memorial day plans for me are to celebrate with my cousin & all her lady friends--cookout at her house tomorrow. Rain today, so I'm going with her this morning to look at furniture--she wants new lvgrm stuff.

Still much to do to get my house in order, but I'm somewhat caught up on the yard!

Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good Morning, Its going to be in the 90's here, I'll trade with you. Everytime I think of spending the whole summer down here, it is unsettling, to say the least. One good point this morning, I am able to use my laptop as they had someone out to fix the wifi tower yesterday. The signal isn't the best, but think I am only one using in this area. It is so nice to type, instead of peck. Didn't sleep well last night, I have been sleeping with bedroom window open, which I enjoy and can never do much. It was warm last night compared to the other nights we've had and I could not sleep, hate shutting up and running A/C all night too.

This evening, my DD is picking me up and we're going to my granddaughters dance recital. It should be a nice evening. Not sure what the rest of the week end will be. They are having a cook out here, on Monday, so I'm sure to have something to do.

Not many left in the park for the summer, but ones who are here are really nice people. Each morning, they meet up on the porch for morning coffee and chat, which is really nice. They have a nice library here, which I have volunteered to help organize, needs doing every so often. The pool is a really big one, haven't been in it yet. I'm still arranging and fixing in here. Have found that I can read again, and to be honest that is where the biggest part of my afternoons go :o

Not really much news from this area, so won't keep rambling. Hope you all have a nice week end. Remember all of our military, we should each day, not a particular day of the year. We enjoy our freedoms because they sacrificed so much for the rest of us.

CArol :)

Good Morning to all!

It's overcast and cool today, so far, after some rain overnight. We all had yummy steak, corn on the cob, shrimp, and crablegs last night up at the house to celebrate Joe's birthday (which is actually on Tuesday). Baby Orson's doc visit yesterday showed he had gained a bit over a pound this past week, and his jaundice is over! He is really making progress now, trying to catch up with his big brother who wears clothes sized for a 5-year-old at 2 and a half years old!

Orion and I ran across a very large garter snake yesterday while climbing on a huge rock in the yard. She (I think she is pregnant) was very defensive of her secret site beneath a couple of two-by-fours which I had moved to give Orion something to step on to climb the rock. She grouped up, flattened out her head like a rattler, and struck at us with wide-open red mouth scaring little Oey nearly off the rock! I admit I jumped back, too, as I was about to try to grab her and let him pat her. However, we decided to leave her alone after I told Orion she was afraid of us and must be guarding a nest or babies. Later, I discovered she was still there and had hidden herself in an old large-sized beer can which had been under the boards, which reinforces my thinking that she is about to have babies. She would have left the area if she didn't have important business to do! I can't wait to check today to see if any babies are there yet! Happy Saturday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning ladies
Everyone is so busy, its delightful to read of your doings. Its nice this morning, don't know the temp but it feels good and I've had the windows and door open all morning. Picked up the first set of boards for the deck the other day, had them cut and am now getting them sealed and painted (colored stain). Have two sides done and taking a break. Also got the ladder out and
did my measurements for the uprights so the top will have a slope and still allow the door to clear.
By now ya'll know I'm done for summer and don't go back until August 1. I did not sign up for summer work this year :D since
I'm getting ss now and god forbid I make too much and have to give back. But I have plenty to keep me busy and I think I have
my budget under control. At least I hope so. :P
Soos, glad new O's jaundice is gone and also SO glad ya'll didn't get bit by the snake, even though its not poisonous, it still
would have been traumatic for Oey.
Kathleen, hope your pain goes away soon.
Irmi, thanks for breakfast :D
About time to get back outside and paint the other two sides of the boards before it gets too hot.
Ya'll have a great day.

I'm taking the 8-year-old to a dog agility trial this afternoon. She's really dog-crazy, but she won't be old enough to start 4-H with the family dog until next year. We'll have fun!

Hot here along the Mississippi river, also. Going to be 90 today, so got my AC cranked up already. Arrived last night and not leaving until Monday morning, so that means I have two whole days to do nothing but a bit of cooking, some work, and watching TV and relaxing. I really enjoy watching the boats push "tows" up and down the river. After two long days of driving, I really need some down time.

Slightly expensive but full hookups here and nice views of the river. It's called Tom Sawyer RV park and is in West Memphis, AR. I would stay here again for the view.

Heading for Colorado. Will get there on June 2, and spending all of June there. Meeting my kids (both sets) in Estes Park on the 23rd, which ought to be really exciting. (Will need another rest after they all leave! )

CarolB, I tried to send you a pm but now it's showing it's in the outbox so I think it is just sitting there. H-m-m, not sure what's happening but maybe let me know if you got a couple of pm's from me or not at all. I used it several days ago and it worked for me ... :?: but not now :?: Help, what did I do wrong???

Pms remain in the outbox until the recipient reads it.
