Well, it's Monday....

Morning all,

Not a good Monday here as Miss Molly isn't any better on her new pain meds. My DH and I are beginning to think the worst, that it is something more insidious than just arthritis. Her daughter passed away last year from bone cancer so that is where our minds keep going. What ever is wrong, we cannot continue to let her be in pain. I fear a hard decision is at hand and soon.

Sun's up and so am I so I guess I'll get going on my day. Not much on my agenda. Sorry to start us out on such a downer note but I know you ladies will understand.

Kathy

Mornin' Kathy and all that follow.

So sorry to her your Molly is not doing well, but trust you will take care of her whatever she needs and will comfort her if the time comes sooner than expected.

Sue seems like you sure are having fun changing things in the TT and getting ready for the road west this year. Can't wait for the before & after pics.

Using up vacation time this week or lose it (never!). Finally getting spring cleaning done - I think I found another dog under the bed ~ Zorro's twin I think  He shakes and blows coat ~ drives me crazy. All the windows got washed inside & out, ceiling fans washed and some things packed for Amvets. Last big thing to do is shampoo front room carpet but have all week to get that done. Today is eye doctor and thinking about an afternoon trip to Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. Should be a nice day weather wise.

Will be seeing Kathleen on Wednesday. Our plans are still jello-ish, but will be nice to see her. We gabbed on the phone the other night for a couple hours.

Hope everyone has a good day and stay safe on the roads.

Good Morning !!!

Kathy, so sorry to hear your Molly isn't well. When they're ill would be a good time for them to be able to talk and tell us just what is wrong, the guessing on our part is hard. Hope you find the real problem soon.

Another beautiful morning, been coolish here in the mornings love it !! It's not going to last long so I'm really enjoying and appreciate so much. People next to me must be trying to lay in the bed this morning, their dogs ( 2 ) are barking their heads off and both take turns hollering " no" at them, NOT working !!, They will be leaving end of month and Maggie and I will be back here all by ourselves. They're from Traverse city, Mi. Wish I could hitch a ride  Their doggies might not like Maggie intruding in their space.

I'm no where near as ambitious as some of you are, but I am getting this place back to looking and feeling like living quarters instead of bedroom or storage as it has been for months. Also found a book I'm able to read the print, so after months of not reading I am enjoying that pastime again. Wishing I had a sewing machine and some of my fabric pieces. Found out yesterday I will soon have another great-gran.

Need to walk up to front of CG, before it's to hot. Have a bill to mail off and want to check out laundry , need to soon do some. Hope you all have a great day, whatever and wherever you are, STAY SAFE.

CArol :)

Good Morning Kathy and Cheryl and everyone else still waiting to sign in.. So sorry about Molly being in so much pain. Sure wish they could talk and tell us what and where.
Yesterday was a lost cause except for church in the am. I was so sore and in my recliner chair all day sleeping on and off. Got up this morning to the cool drizzle so turned up the furnace...
I do wish some of the larger things had sold but we did not take them out so they were not seen. $50 is not real bad as it is a yard sale. Everyone expects things to be 25 cents or less. lol I did so enjoy being with my daughter. She did 95% of the work. But I did what I could. They took the MH to their house so Margie can put their things in and be ready to roll!
My eye appointment will be Tuesday tomorrow for the measurements of my eyes for the cataract surgery on the 2nd. Am excited to see better. My neighbor Vicki said it is wonderful to see and there is no pain involved; just no lifting or bending. I know how I am so will wear a patch over my eye for sleeping as I will rub them and that is also a no no.
Hildi the dear lady that took Shadow for me came over and visited for a few minutes and she then bought PiPer over her new rescued dog. He is a sniffer and does not walk good for her. The contrast between the two is so different Shadow would go fast for 2+ miles up to twice a day. But she loves her new girl! I am so very glad she took a few minutes to come over. Her daughter Barb lives next door to me.
I have a keurig machine for one cup and just got the Keurig travel 'jug'. It does not spill you can even turn it upside down. It keeps warm for up to 4 hours. I let my coffee sit and have to microwave it a couple of times but not anymore.
Time to read e-mails. Will be happy on Wed to meet another forum lady... see you soon Cheryl.
Me and My Shadow are lazy
GM CArol I was so long writhing you got in without my seeing you. My neighbor has a barking dog. But after a few years now he is a tad bit better. It can be annoying for sure. I bet you are much more relaxed now that you are in your home. This is a perfect time to know if you want to go full time.

Cold and blustery here today! :( Hopefully it will get better later today for golf. Last week was canceled due to rain and we are supposed to get heavy rains here today sometime. The weekend was so beautiful! What a difference a day makes!

Am leaving shortly to get new tires put on my Jeep. Been putting that off for awhile but now I have a screw and a slow leak in my front tire, so I decided it was a good time to just replace them all, especially with this trip to northern Minnesota coming up soon. One less thing to worry about, and will hopefully help some with gas mileage as well.

Then back to sorting, cleaning and packing... only 9 days to go! Will be so glad to get into the new place and get Chelsea back with me and get settled in, so I can relax and enjoy the summer!

Camping trip is coming up soon too, just 4 more weeks! Need to put up my tent and spray it with waterproofing stuff and seal the seams yet. Also need to get my kayak from my dad's house and try that out soon! Lots going on this next month!!

Stay safe and happy today! :D

(Hope Molly gets better! Poor baby!)

good morning ladies
so sad Molly isn't well, hope she perks up soon.
Just got done doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen from last night dinner. The handyman (Darren) came over and put
the new toilet in and I grilled steak on the forman grill. Still need to tidy up the rest of the livingroom, put tools away and
some other stuff I call "inventory" just in case I need it  Everything went well until it occurred to me the water line
for the old one was near the floor and the new one is up at the top. Quickly called camping world to see if they had the
tubing and connections, so we could run over there. It was 3:30 and they close at 5 on Sunday. It was a whirlwind getting
cleaned up and on our way as Darren can sometimes get "side-tracked" with talking.  All was good and we got
what we needed. No more leaking, :D :D :D The new toilet is also narrower at the bottom so now I think I have extra
space to shove some little sterilite drawers in there along the side. Will be a good place for my bath products, you know
the kind, bubble bath, bath salts, pumice stone, shavers, etc, etc :D I really like the hand flush, no more foot pedal.
AND.....its also taller for my comfort :D
Now that the toilet is done I can concentrate on getting my deck started. Will build it in sections (sides) and connect at
the corners with big standard door hinges where I can just pull the pins and dismantle for easy move if the need arises.
Ok, time for a mid morning nap. Ya'll have a great day, those that are having little mini gtg's, have fun and all be safe.

Just got back from getting my new tires put on. What a difference! Jeep rides so nice and smooth now!

We have had torrential rains for the past 3 hours and there is a lot of flooding all over. Was stuck at Target for awhile waiting for it to let up enough to run out to my car without getting totally soaked. The back yard here is really flooded, more so than I have ever seen it from previous downpours. I can almost hear all the sump pumps running in everyone's basements right now! I am sure the lake will go up at least another 6 inches from the rain and runoff. Lots of docks are already near or under water since the last heavy rains a week or so ago. Don't need all this again! Looks like about another hour or so of more heavy rains before it finally ends. I'll need my kayak to get to work and back pretty soon!
Probably won't be playing golf tonight even if it clears up. The course is probably too flooded to play on by now. It was pretty bad last time and it hadn't rained for several days before then.

Bought a bunch of plastic Sterilite boxes in different sizes for packing. I like those better than cardboard boxes because they stack nice, are clear enough to see what is inside of them, waterproof, animal/bug proof, and store easily. Best of all, they were on sale!

(Posting very late.) Carol, the barking dogs and their owners remind me of why my ex and I once moved from one house we owned. Dumb neighbors would put their dog out early in the morning to "train him not to bark." I was getting up very early with a new baby and trying to go back to sleep. Don't know how people think yelling is training.
