G'morning all:)

Made it to Sue's ystrdy noon! We talked til our throats were hoarse! Luckily, Brenda arrived and we got a break lol. The bbq pork was delicious!

Will make this short since I'm on my phone. Brenda has been an IT, so she's updating my laptop with new antivirus and just generally cleaning it up. Peg, thx for calling! So nice to have a conference call, aand yes, Sue is an awesome hostess and her place is better than any cg I've been too. Nice fenced yard for my poopers to run. H

So much for making this short! Will be playing catch up, so forgive me for not mentioning specifics. But as always, y'all have a great day and be safe!!!

It's been wonderful having Carol here. Such a gracious and energetic lady. So full of fun as I'm sure those of you who have met her already know. But what she failed to mention this morning is that we have SNOW out there. Not much, just enough to let you know it's here. She was remarking to Peggy last night when she called that it was snowing and she hadn't seen snow for awhile, so I graciously fixed that for her

Peggy, thanks so much for calling last night. Was nice to hear from you. Sorry about the phone issues.

Think we are going on the bum today. Show Carol some of the area up here. Cushions can wait till tomorrow. Time for fun first. Have a great day everyone :)

Good morning Carol, Sue & everyone!

Carol, have a good time visiting with Sue. Going to that area is on my bucket list.

Sue, what I would give to have the energy Carol has. Have fun seeing the area!

Barbie, I'm keeping my fingers crossed your Dad won't pass the written and driving test. Maybe once he fails, he'll realize it's time to hang up the keys.

It's wet and cooling off in MD. We woke up to 70 degrees and by tonight, we'll be in the 50's. Yesterday we took the motorhome to a mechanic in the area to be inspected so it can be registered in MD, since we bought it in FL. It has an exhaust leak, the backup lights don't work and it must be a wiring problem, as new bulbs didn't do the trick and a rear airbag has a leak. The part for the airbag wasn't available locally, so it's on order and when the part is in, we'll take the motorhome back in to be fixed and pass inspection. The pastor of my church contacted me and asked if I would play for a funeral tomorrow, so that's on my schedule.

Have a good Friday everyone!

Good Morning !! Oh Carolb a flash of envy went through me when I read where you were, I'm bad, I know you will really enjoy yourself !!

I'm on my IPad and will be most of summer, the CG I'm in has wifi but huge and I'm in the back area, love it back here , not crowded in , can't stand that and this will be for months. Not many trees but we have one here and when summer does really hit, it might help some, shades until afternoon.

Don't think many will be here during the summer, empty rigs are every where, snowbirds are gone. A few still left , for one reason or other. There is a pool here, which I plan to use but it's a walk up to it. Will be hot coming back. My DD lives about 5 miles away, so I will go over from time to time and spend a couple nights at a time and see my grands.

Wishing you all a happy and safe day !!
CArol :)

Hope I can catch up with everyone soon, so much happens so quick on here WOW !!!

Good morning Everybody from rainy CT. It was fun to place a conference call to Sue and Carol last night. I also got to talk with Brenda, Sue's friend who will help redo the cushions and "rip up" a few boards. You go ladies...

Good morning ladies! The birds are singing, the geese have their new little babies on the lawn, and the leaves are starting to sprout on the trees! Still chilly out but supposed to warm up into the 70's by early next week (finally! ).

Today is my annual visit with my daughter, Naomi! :D Can't wait to see her! Only five more years and then we can see each other as often as we want! (Her parents cut down the originally agreed to 6 visits per year, to only one per year after she was adopted). Will take pics and post those tonight.

Just realized last night that I move in just 2 weeks and I am SO not even close to being ready! I need to get my butt in gear and do a lot more sorting and packing here!

Sue and Carolb, have fun visiting in the snow! Ha! I would die if I saw another snow flake now! :x

Have a great day! :D

Good Morning!

Carolb and Sue, enjoy your visit! Barbie, a very special day for you. CArol, it sounds like you have found a great place to land - making the best of an unwanted situation.

I am still in Port Angeles at my long time friend's. Yesterday we had lunch on the waterfront and visited a small casino near here. She is working today, will have her granddaughter here tomorrow morning. We were deciding what to do tomorrow afternoon when I found a local men's gospel group that I enjoy is having a concert in Sequim!

Today I am suppose to get together with 1 to 3 nieces - guess they'll let me know sometime what the plan is :) My sister is too busy to join us for lunch.

Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning Ladies! So much excitement going on here... I can add my little smile here too Cheryl is coming to visit over Memorial weekend. I do not get much company so I am thrilled to death!!

I truly thing we need to name Carolb as our good will ambassador. She roams the country and has a pocket full of happy dust sprinkling it on everyone she meets. Sounds like a good gtg up in the north country!
Barbie I remember last year when you saw Naomi... will look forward to pictures... happy dancing all over the forum right now...
Oh CArol I would like to park down there and visit all summer but happy things here are going on here too...

having my cataracts out one on 6-2 other on 6-16... I will still have to wear glasses as I am not paying an additional 2 grand for them to correct my astigmatism. then the last of July I go to Michigan on aug 2 my grandson gets married. Then on up to one of my bff I have a camp ground down the hill from them to park my rig Russ puts electric down there and I do what ever I want love to go down to the lake and sit on the pontoon and read; they go about their business we chat off and on but they are very busy people... Irmi so glad you can help at that funeral ... we have so very many people on this forum that give so much back to this group. Where else could you find younger and older with diverse experiences get to gather and care for each other have bushels of fun not to mention food... I am over joyed you are all my sistas....
My daughter says I get to mushy... lol my sister said that also...

Me and My Shadow say we had better stop gabbing and get busy!

Barbie - maybe you can bribe Carol to come on up to help with the packing since she has so much energy  Have a great time visiting Naomi.

Yup-going to visit Kathleen - woohoo! Afraid to look at my PM's tho- she may be putting me to work  :P

Cold here in Chitown too - there was snow up north near Algonquin and those parts - still the never ending winter.

Have a great day everyone & stay stay if you're on the roads.

Hi to All!

So much good news on here today! What fun that Carolb and Sue are keeping each other company for a bit! I had a great time with Carol when she was in FL, too, and helped me lay down my final kitchen tiles before we headed off to St. Cloud!

Barbie, I am so happy you and Naomi will be able to see each other as often as you want, soon! I love adoption sagas that have happy outcomes, like mine and my daughter, Mona's has turned out. I sure do wish I could have talked longer to you when you visited our GTG this past winter in FL. My poor Molly was in such bad condition at that time that I was pretty much a basket case. However, she has since bounced back like a young puppy again, and I am so happy now!

So sorry about my absence lately, y'all, but I have all I can do to keep up with Facebook posts and to read my email each day. I would promise to get better, but......! Yuu all have heard that one before! :)

For those of you who might not yet know, Orson Wallace Amell was born on Monday, May 12, 2014, weighing in at 8 pounds 11 ounces, and 21+ inches long! His big brother, Orion, 2 1/2 years old now, was allowed in the room to see him with family, and he was very fascinated with his little brother, worrying when he cried, until we told him that’s how babies have to let people know they want something, as they can’t yet talk. He is very gentle and loving with him, thus far, and I suspect he will always will be as he couldn’t wait to see him!

Home they all are now! Baby reached his target weight in time to come home yesterday, and Mandy had no symptomatic anemic things happening, so she is on iron and, as you said, Peggy, lots of red meat! They had a good night last night, and this morning his Auntie Liz
(Daddy Joe’s sister) came with his Nana----his great grandma! His Grammy (Joe’s mom) was here with me for a day or two while Mommy and Daddy (who slept in the hospital with Mommy) were in the hospital. Now they are off to Orson’s first pediatrician appointment, Auntie and Nana left, and Orion and I are holding down the fort back here. It’s been a very hectic week since I got back here, and I am so happy to have made it back in time for all the happenings.

It began raining hard this morning, and the temperature has already dropped almost 15 degrees in just a few hours! It got into the high 80s here yesterday and the day before, and is now predicted to get down to the 40s and high 30s for tonight and tomorrow! WOW! I’m not used to that!

Sorry for the delay in news, but the internet connection here is “iffy” to say the least. My Verizon-based phone works with static and hesitancy at the best. BUT-----it’s far better than no communication, for sure, and I am able to get several over-the-air TV stations (PBS included, which I LOVE) in the trailer. Joe will go back to Vermontville to work this upcoming week, and I will be here to drive Mandy, Big O, Teeny O, and me to the doc appointments and whatever, as Mandy is not allowed to drive yet. I am loving having two grandbabies!!

Love to all from me

Barbie at least by now she know you and no matter what her parents decide she will make her own decisions from 18 on.....and she will know how to find you. :-)
