Good Morning from the snowy U.P.,
Yes, you read the title right. I'm up in Michigan's U.P. for a week and we are under a Winter Storm Warning till about mid morning. About 4-8 inches of very wet heavy snow. It's going to impact the entire U.P. and also the lower peninsula as well, although I don't think they will get as much. My original plans were to have come up here today, but after seeing the forecast at the end of the week, I came a day early and am glad I did. Now I can just sit inside and look out. Well, Sassy and I must venture out before long as she is going to need a potty call. She will be surprised to see what's out there. Looks like typical spring in Michigan.
Haven't had a chance to read what everybody's doing these days, so going to have to sit and read posts later on. I know this same storm is bringing some bad weather to other areas as well, so hope those of you in it's path are staying in and safely out of harm's way.
So guess today will be get a work table brought in here and maybe putter with my woodburning stuff as I haven't used one yet and also get out some maps and start trip planning for possible SD trip. That is hinging on whether or not I still have Ms. Sassy by June. With her arthritis issues and also eye cataracts, it's hard to say. She's hanging tough, but there is going to come a point where that day is going to come and Rainbow Bridge will call. But or now we continue to chug along.
Plans for this week call for some bumming around Marquette. Want to check out on store in particular that has upholstery fabric as I need some for my TT's cushions. Want to add some "pop" to the plain jane interior.
Am going to get busy here, so want to wish you all a nice day out there.

Well, at least it will be beautiful to look at.
I have to make phone calls this morning. It turns out that I will need to have Kit weighed at an official weight station before I can transfer the title and get plates. I'll find out where the closest one is and what hours it is open.

Top 'o the mornin', Sue and all ladies who follow!
Not snow but rain here in IL, and cold to boot! Yesterday was so nice even if cloudy, I got lots done outside before I ran out of steam. From the looks of the forecast, I won't be outside more than necessary today.
Going to breakfast with a friend this morning. She's off work on Mondays so we try to get together then.
Working on about 3 hrs. sleep today; not sure if I'm overtired or it's too much of something else but I seem to have days (or nights rather) where I get little or no sleep at all. Then I crash in the afternoon and I'm not good for much.
Sue, check with your vet about a medication called Adequan. My Molly is on monthly shots and it has made a huge difference in her arthritis. It may help Sassy feel more comfortable.
Nothing for me for breakfast til later, so I'll just offer you coffee-decaf!
Oops, Louise you popped in before me, so I'll add my good morning to you!

Good Morning Ladies, from Florida !!! Nice breeze outside which makes it feel so good to Maggie and I this morning. We stayed outside for awhile. Supposed to be up near 90' so potty trips will be quick !! Way past time I would normally be gone. Just goes to show no matter what the weather is or wherever we are , for some reason, looks like we can't be satisfied !! I do agree with those still in winter weather it's past time !! We might still have snow up home ( I'm not there ) this time of year, but this winter seems longer, didnt it start earlier ?? So afraid I'm going to miss our spring weather at home, such a nice time of year up there.
Hope you all enjoy a nice day, no matter where you are or what your weather might be. Sue, seems to have the best day planned and what a busy and productive person she is
Makes me plum tired sometimes LOL !!!
Take care, stay safe and DON'T forget to stop and smell the flowers !!!
CArol

G'morning all!
Don't see Ava checking in this a.m. so will let you know the move didn't happen yesterday, BUT should be happening during her break today! Hope to see her in her new home this evening:) We had a great gtg here at the casino on Fri night...
SNOW???? Yikes! Cooling down to the 80's here, so it's comfortable enough without having to use AC. Been spending days with my former neighbors--nice yards for the poopers, which includes friends' poopers too. Helping one neighbor get some cleaning done--she's a self-admitted pack-rat!
Looks like I'll be here through Easter Sunday. Antsy to get on the road though--& have decided to head north! Never been to Tetons, Yellowstone, Badlands, Mt Rushmore etc. So Pat & Sue, will be in your territory! This decision is thanks to Anita
I contemplated following her to Alaska for the summer....this is a compromise. Feel like I really need a vacation after all these months of care-giving...
Y'all have a great day & be safe always!

Good Morning,
Carolb, I am so glad you haven't changed your mind about your route home!!
Hoping Ava's move happens today - sure was disappointed to read it didn't happen yesterday.
When I read Accuweather yesterday, we were to have very little wind today - as my granddaughter said at least once this winter about the weather people, 'they lied'!! Flags are standing straight out. I have been waiting for a free day with no wind so I can wash the rig, including the awning which hasn't been out for over 2 years!!
This is pack it up, clean it up week even tho we don't plan to leave until the 30th. LeRoy has to store his 5er the end of the week as our friends with the big shed where he stores it are leaving next Monday.
Sure would like to know where Kathleen is and how her trip is going!
Have a good day whatever you are doing and safe travels to those on the road.

Mild weather here in West Point, GA, but supposed to rain, which is OK with me as I have stuff to do inside. Already this morning, I changed my sheets and towels, and got laundry ready for tomorrow. I also went through 2012 and part of 2013 receipts that I have saved and tossed nearly all out. Also went through medical records and sorted those also. (I keep a hanging folder box with all my legal documents and receipts while I travel full-time.)
The rest of today is going to be making some appointments for when I get home to Michigan in less than two weeks. I also want to clean out a couple of cabinets.
When I get to Ohio, I am going to hire a couple of movers to pull everything out of my storage locker and put things back in a more logical order so that I can find things. Lesson Learned--Never let one of your children supervise how furniture and boxes are put in your storage unit. It was 95 the day I moved, and I let him do that while I put stuff in the motorhome. Big mistake. Stuff I need is in the back and I cannot find anything.

GOOD MORNING to all!
I'm at the trailer in St. Cloud today and have been here since Friday afternoon. Beautiful weather here, with sun, some clouds, steady breeze keeping things cool no matter what-----all in all gorgeous. I have an appointment to have the truck serviced for the trip home tomorrow morning early, and then may head back to Orlando or wait until Wednesday morning. As usual, I never have hard set plans since I retired!
I had my morning coffee out under the mulberry tree, watching the anhinga bird catch fish in the pond and then dry his wings in the sunshine, while listening to Irish Pub Music on Pandora! I have decided that station is now my favorite! Everything is so happy, upbeat, funny, weird sometimes-----I just love these songs that all tell a tale of some sort! Ginger, judging from your 'top o' the mornin' greeting, you would love that station, too!
Carolb, I wish I could be with you on your trip home----those places are some of my most favorite in our country. Hope you have a good trip and can relax for a while! Carol Carolina, why are you still down here, or have you chosen to stay later? Havingfunnow I hope you get your title all straightened out today. And it sounds as if Anita is heading to Alaska? How I wish to do that one day!
Guess I'll take the poochies for a walk around the property, leash free for them, which I love as do they, before making something for lunch.
Hope you all are having a fun time wherever you may be. Sue is looking at more snow, someone else had a tornado warning yesterday-----not good!-----we may get some rain and thundershowers down here today and tomorrow. I am wondering where Kathleen is, also. Ava, sure hope your move is completed soon!
Judy, good to hear from you, too! You just posted.....hope you have a good trip north!
Later....from me and Molly and Dinah

Good morning!
Enjoying my morning walks on the beach while it snows back in KC.
The kids are both at work/school today so I'm on my own. Doing final review on taxes & submitting them - finally! Just reworked DD's CA form this morning - each time I do it, I find small issues. Hopefully I've got it right this time. I see why my son said no one out here files their own taxes. Hopefully next year will be easier - all the part-year stuff is tedious.
Had a really nice day celebrating DS & DIL's 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday. I finally got to experience a 'gloomy' CA day. It was actually a relief to know that there are 'off' days here too - maybe not as many as we have in the midwest, but a few days where you don't feel guilty about staying in & not enjoying the fabulous weather.
After I finish taxes, walking to the store to buy stuff to make cheesy quinoa cakes (look like a potato cake-type thing). Will share the recipe here if they turn out ok.
Sorry you're not feeling well, Lynn. DD is off tomorrow & but I may give you a call to see if you're up to a little company on Wed. I got my transit pass & look forward to venturing out with it.
Ok, back to taxes....
Later...

Wendy, thanks for sharing the information regarding Kathleen. She doesn't need to to get calls from all of us but do let her know that we are asking about her progress and well being and appreciate your sharing her updates for her while she is traveling without internet connections....

Good afternoon all, or, early evening. The pain goes away while lying down. Then I get up and some little thing, like housework, then back to the couch.
Catherine, please do call me Wednesday. Lyn

Catherine, if you like gloomy days, they have what's called "June Gloom" out there, where the marine layer doesn't burn off all day and it is just gloomy all month long.
Gotta go inland aways to see the sun. (There is also "May Gray" which is about the same thing).
The sun just set here and I am seeing a huge full moon rising up over the lake here. Has an orange glow to it already. Will have to stay up to see the eclipse later on. Cool!
