Wake up everyone, it's Saturday. Course on second thought, maybe for those of you who work, this is sleep in day.

Sun's going to be out here an a bit after the clouds get out of here. Windy and chilly though. Had a little light snow last night, but it will be gone by days' end. Majority of the storm went north and we got some pretty good rain yesterday. More to help melt the snow.

BJ, no I'm not really tired of the snow, more of the cold than anything. It's been a long cold winter and a lot of wind besides. But it's normal for here this time of year to still have snow, in fact we can have snow on Mother's Day. But eventually it will be gone and then when spring really bursts forth, it's so beautiful you forget winter was ever here. So many shades of green, wild cherry tree, apple trees and a million other things bursting into bloom, blue skies and blue lakes.....

Not exciting on agenda today. Bit of house cleaning as I have a Real Estate agent coming on Monday. Just getting a CMA for now. and then off to town. Starting to think about trip west and need to sit down and plan route etc. Anybody ever use Good Sam's trip planner? Also eyeing new rigs and wish I could afford to trade this one I have for one I really want now that I have good tow vehicle. But other expenses in way and have to find out how much the Medicare Supplemental insurance and all that is going to cost me. Have a meeting with advisor on that this coming week. The joys of getting older  Then need to start getting my stuff ready to head north the following week for Easter weekend.

So with all that in mind, time to get a move on here. Have a great day all.

Good Morning ladies
was up early, actually...3:30 . I contribute that to my excitement of getting necessary stuff done and just figured what the heck, if I get tired I can always take a nap :D I've always enjoyed being up when the rest of the house was sleeping. Am getting laundry done, of course its saturday and thats what I do on saturday  then later I'll run over to the rv park and take a look at the shed and do some measurements, and see if it has shelves inside etc. Will also see if my neighbors are around and can introduce myself.
Will call discount tire today and make sure they have my tires in stock in case they need to order them up.
Ya'll enjoy your day, the coffee is fresh :D

All is well. Didn't realize what a toll care-giving had taken on me & the pups! So peaceful out here in the desert, so RELAXING!!! Haven't felt this relaxed in a long time! Looking forward to seeing Anita next week, so we can enjoy some 90deg weather together

Off to do taxes! Nothing like waiting til the last minute  Y'all have a great day, be safe always 8-)

Sue, somewhere I have a photo of my kids sitting on a snowdrift in our yard in Michigan on April 24 after a big, late snowstorm, so I know what you are talking about. Just hope it is reasonably spring-like when I get there in late April!

I had the best night's sleep in three weeks last night. Cause is that it was cold and I could snuggle in my blankets. Last three weeks, I have been in southern Texas along the coast, and it has been very humid and not cold enough at night. I liked Arizona's cold nights with my heater having to run. Can't completely take Michigan out of me.

Discovered a very nice, out-of-the-way campground--Matagorda Nature Park. Along the Colorado River (the Texas one, not the Colorado one) where it empties into the Gulf of Mexico, so a lot of birds and an extremely nice beach. Very large paved sites with paved picnic table areas, and even a laundromat. I went for a walk last night on the fishing pier and am planning on a beach walk today, assuming the winds calm down a bit later. A bit expensive ($30 + $5 per person day fee) but full hookups, and they do have weekly and monthly rates during the winter. Owned by Texas Lower Colorado River Authority. Fee for Texas residents over 65 is $2. Tomorrow I head for Louisiana and then Mississippi on my way home.
